★★★★★ food was excellent, service fine, portions huge. There are two places, with this one still called mr Jerk. Didn't try the other one ... Posted on June 14, 2008 |

★★★★☆ I went to this place recently. The place is called Jerk City now. Halal sign is clearly displayed. I don't know much about Carribean food, so I just tried the house specialty - Jerk Chicken with rice and peas. It was delicious. Posted on September 12, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I really like the barbeque chicken, though it's pretty expensive for a single leg at 7 quid! Lots of rice with it though. Posted on August 18, 2007 |

★★★★★ I found the food and service very good, as well as the atmosphere and location! The halal certification was quite clear and there was even an article on the wall explaining what halal is!
Good to try a new type of cuisine. Posted on February 14, 2007 |

★★★★★ Excellent food and very reasonably priced (especially for location). Clearly displays Halal certificate, menu says all food is Halal and a review from a guide to Halal restaurants is displayed on the wall. I would encourage Brothers and Sisters to support non-Muslim establishments who go out of the way to serve Halal food. Insha'Allah this will become more prevalent. Posted on December 5, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ I'm always on the lookout for different cuisines which offer their dishes with halal meat, so I was quite anxious to try this one as I'd been looking for carribean food for some time. I was quite disappointed as didnt seem to be very tradional in taste and very bland. Never again. Posted on November 16, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ was pleasantly surprised by the plantain and dumplings.. food was a bit spicy [made my nose run :s] but still nice. Posted on September 10, 2004 |

★★★★★ Very tasty and spicy chicken. Loved it. The place looks small and dodgy, but don't worry, the food is good and location is central. Posted on February 7, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ "Asalaamwale Kum, we were really eager to try the food but when we came in we could not see any certificate stating that the food was halal. We asked the waitress and she said it wasn't and even popped downstairs and confirmed this with the chef! So in the end we chose not to eat there. Perhaps they changed the menu since the last couple of reviews?" Posted on December 16, 2002 |

★★★★★ There are not enough halal West Indian restaurants, which I find surprising. However it is great to have access to this one. If you ever wanted to try Carribean food then this place is available for you. All food items are halal. Prices are not bad.Try the dumplings. Posted on November 15, 2002 |

★★★★☆ Owner not Muslim but Certified Halal. Traditional Jamaican dishes and snacks (Snapper Fish, Curried Mutton, Ackees & Saltfish, Dumplings, Jamaican Patties etc). Be careful with the cocktail drinks as some are alcoholic (e.g. Guinness Punch). Posted on July 8, 2002 |
