★★★☆☆ We were verbally assured that the food is halal. There is also a sign at the restaurant. The food was simply OK. Located next to Ground Zero. Very busy during lunch hours. Posted on January 18, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ definitely not halal ... i asked if the food was halal and the guy points to the halal sticker on the door and says "see, its halal" .. i then proceeded to ask for any kind of receipt/certificate and he says "look at the sign" i asked where he got his meat from and he says "if the sign says its halal, then it IS halal" ... yeah right buddy ! he didn't seem one to trust anyway... the last place i'd ever go to for real hala food. ★★★☆☆ Went with my family in late November. The door was kept open, resulting in frigid weather inside the restaurant. The food was good, especially the chicken tandoori masala. But the "garden salad" was sliced cabbage and a small slice of carrot. The paneer (cheese) in the palak paneer was hard. I give an average rating only because the food was good. But I doubt I'll go back. Posted on November 25, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ *** Muslims be aware***
The very poor rating I am giving is not because of the food, I'd never have any at Taste of Tandoor, but rather the service and attitude towards customers. My wife goes to school there in the area and she asked the owner a very logical question, nicely. "Do you have Halal certificate on display?" The owner went off on her ranting about she has no right to ask him that. Just the responce alone pretty much says that they may very well not be serving Halal/Zabihah food let alone, the bad attitude. Posted on January 11, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ Offers a decent lunch buffet at under $5. Be sure to try the naan which is homemade in their oven on the spot. Around the corner from a masjid on Warren Street. Posted on April 18, 2002 |
