NR Just called to see when they close, and asked just for confirmation if their halal- and they said none of their meat is halal. :/ Posted on May 24, 2014 |

★★★★★ This is a wonderful restaurant. Ambiance was great, food was amazing, and service was perfect.
It was so good that I DON'T want to come back--- it's a once-in-a-while type of place for special occasions. Posted on September 18, 2013 |

★★★★☆ This has to be the most entertaining halal restaurant in the East Bay. When we took my parents there, my dad was a little embarrassed by the belly dancing, but the food is decent and the style of service is fun. Posted on September 25, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Great place to go with kids except for the bathrooms. Food was tasty. Great place for a special Mother's Day dinner. Posted on May 24, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ I laughed, I cried, I could have died. Then I went to the bathroom. And cried some more. Posted on August 27, 2004 |

★★★★★ Being that it was my first time at Tanjia (and my first time trying Moroccan food)-it was great. The atmosphere was relaxing, colorful, and comfortable. The servers were very friendly and helpful. And the food was fresh, flavorful, and just plain delicious. Thanks for the experience! Posted on January 21, 2004 |

★★★★☆ There aren't that many high-class halal restaurants around. Tanjia is definetely one of the best. You might want to go a bit later or earlier in the evening to avoid the belly dancers, but all lamb is halal and the chicken is halal upon request if you call in earlier. All the best Moroccan dishes & tagines. Posted on August 22, 2003 |
