★★★★★ Loved, loved this place. Food was awesome, set up was great.
We had a variety of dishes. Loved the spring roll and lamb chops.
Owner was very friendly and helpful. That's something you don't see nowadays. The staff was friendly and trained well to look after cater to the customers needs.
The waitress we had showed my son how to fold and make a boat out of the napkin. Which was a cute thing to do, in return he showed her a few magic tricks.
Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.
Wishing them the best. Posted on June 9, 2013 |

★★★★★ Chal Chilli has a quaint and cozy atmosphere; the decor with its dim lighting makes for a warm and comfortable ambience, which is also Thai-like. It can be a nice lunch or dinner place that can come off as romantic and/or trendy. The food is great. It is quite tasty: embodies many different spices and you can choose the level of spicy-ness you like. The food is basically a fusion with the primary influence being of Thai and its twist/flare made up by a South Asian influence. The owner and workers were quite attentive and friendly. They sought to make sure we were enjoying our meal, which we did. The price range of the food was good and affordable. They took the feedback we gave them regarding the food quite well, which convinced me further to give Chal Chilli a 5. Overall, we found it a worthy place to eat at and will hopefully visit it again. ★★★★☆ Good food. Nice ambience and there's complimentary soup and desserts for my friend and I :)
Great service and they also allowed me to use their basement to do my prayers. May God bless them and their business. Posted on October 7, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Chali Chilli is a nice quaint restaurant that has a very nice lunch set up. They provide you with an appetizer, and a dessert along with the meal. The menu is eclectic and it is always changing. Owners are very friendly and very nice people. It isn't quite Thai food and it isn't desi food it's a nice fusion mix. Extra stars for the owners who always take care of us. Posted on September 18, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ A mixed experience:
The first time we went there was for the buffet (which doesn't exist and they haven't bothered to take it off from their menu online yet).
When we were told there is no buffet anymore, first got frustrated and then we settled for lunch special.
The waiter (a young man) was very friendly, respectful, and kind.
The owner (lady) came to tell us how famous ChalChilli has become in the community which was weird.
Soup (broccoli) was ammmmazing!
Vegtable Kabob as appetizer was good too.
Both sweet Posted on March 31, 2014 |

★★★★★ Amaaaazing food and service. I went there with a group of 5 guys and we loved our experience there. It was a Saturday night so they were very busy - but they still accommodated our group and treated us like royalties! The skirt steak is to die for. Scrumptious short ribs and every dish tastes different than the other one. Going back this weekend again and looking forward to it! Posted on December 24, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Horrible service, horrible staff...manager doesn't care or do enough to make it right....waited an hour before I got a glass of ice to go along with my hot coke, appetizers came out in portions and only when I made them realize they sent one to another table..save yourself the headache and trouble and go next door...different food but excellent service and food Posted on November 30, 2013 |

★★★★★ By far one of the best Halal Thai food places I've been to.
I haven't had anything here I did not enjoy, but I would highly recommend the Lamb and Chal Chilli Special Dishes. Can't get those anywhere else and taste half as good. There are plenty of Thai restaurants in NYC but if you want a guaranteed good selection for a date or group of friends, can't go wrong here! Also, they cater food to several mosques and they have a HALAl Certificate on the window as well. Posted on November 13, 2013 |

★★★★★ Amazing Food and service! Its very family friendly so 10 of us had a great time with our young kids. They did everything to accommodate our kids. They even made french fries for my 3 year old son. Who does that in New York City. Food is freshly prepared and you can taste each and every ingredient. I wish them very well because they're giving a very good image to Halal restaurants. Posted on September 1, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ I went here with great expectations. We were a group of 6 adults and 6 kids . We meet the owner she and here staff were great. That unfortunately could not make up for the below average food . First the appetizer came out cold ( calamari , spring roll) then the main courses came out the mango chicken was horrible next we had cashew chicken which was very bland . The owner was nice enough to bring out one that was spicier . The pad thai was also blew average as was the fried rice (how can you mess up fried rice) The lamb chops were good as was the steak. I expected a lot more from a $300.00 meal . Posted on August 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ Been a regular at this restaurant since they opened and its AMAZING!!!! they've definitely given a new definition to Halal Food. A very proper sit down place, friendly staff and divine food. I am happy to see that they're growing their audience and I wish them nothing but tons of success. Will definitely go again next week. Posted on August 15, 2013 |

★★★★★ After searching for a Halal Thai food restaurant in the city, I recently went to Chal Chilli for dinner with a group of my girls. We started off with an appetizer called the Chal Spring Rolls and made our way into the entrees which consisted of Grilled Ginger Lamb Chops, Mussels, and Chicken Chilli Pepper. For dessert, we had the Mango Coconut Napoleon and the Fried Banana Ice Cream. The food was amazing, Thai and with a twist of zesty flavor. Great portion sizes and reasonably priced! The atmosphere is soothing and very nicely decorated, definitely a fine candle-lit dining experience. The staff was impeccable - friendly, courteous, & eager to assist. Loved it! I highly recommend it, can’t wait to go back again! Definitely a repeat spot! Posted on May 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ I must say that I am highly impressed with the quality, wide variety, service, & cost-efficiency that I have encountered while visiting Chal Chilli. Being a Thai/Asian food fanatic & living in NYC, I have been to numerous Thai food restaurants but Chal Chilli has to be the best one so far! Since it’s opening, I have been there to eat numerous times already. My friends & I enjoy going there to catch a break from school/work to enjoy a wide variety of good quality food with extremely reasonable prices! Some of my favorite dishes are the Chal Chilli Shrimp Cocktail, Thai Lemon Shrimp, & the Chal Barbeque Lamb. In addition to devouring mouthwatering appetizers and entrées, the Mango Coconut Napoleon and Coconut Crème Brule are scrumptious enough to satisfy any sweet tooth! I highly recommend Chal Chilli. Delicious food, courteous & friendly owner/staff, peaceful ambience, & reasonable prices all under the same roof…what more could one ask for! Posted on May 18, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ My concern is about how owner treat the employee. One of friend work in this restaurant 8 hours and he tell the owner he cannot work there from next day and can you imagine she want to give him only $10 for 8 hours work so my friend came without money.
I want to ask the people this is wrong or right? This is fair question and I request zabhah.com to publish this review because the owner has to know she cannot take employee hard working money Posted on May 15, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Just went to their taste testing and had their appetizers which were really good. The chicken satay was ok but slightly dry. Service was excellent, the owners were very nice and courteous. Hope to be back to try more of their dishes! Posted on April 27, 2013 |
Thank you so much! :) please come over again. |
