★★★★★ My family and I went for their special New Year's Day buffet. We were told all the meat that day was halal, except for bone-in chicken items (e.g. the tandoori chicken). The buffet had plenty of meat and vegetarian options, plus a very nice dessert bar.
All of the food was excellent, especially since many of the dishes were South Indian (at least in the Albany area, South Indian cuisine is not nearly as common as North Indian cuisine). My favorites were their aloo gobi (flavored with tons of fresh ginger) and their lamb curry (I unfortunately forgot the name).
The buffet was definitely more expensive than other Indian buffets, but we also went on a holiday and they had more specialty items available. There is a full bar there, as well as statues of Hindu gods, so this may be a deal-breaker for some. Posted on January 2, 2020
★☆☆☆☆ This is a Hindu-owned establishment and they do serve alcohol. There have been mixed responses to customers asking whether certain menu items are halal or not. They claim some chicken items are halal, but they may just be saying that to get a sale. It is better to be on the safe side and avoid or just stick with the vegetarian items on the menu. They do offer a varied menu but most dishes are subpar and have odd flavorings. Posted on August 22, 2015
