★★☆☆☆ I have been here once. I asked for the halal menu and she took out a sheet with the items listed. I ordered the 8 oz. steak with baked potato. It came with soup and I was told which soups are halal. I had the broccoli with cheese soup. The soup was mostly cheese but the flavor was mild and I thought it was fine. Got a nice portion of steak but I had a tough time chewing it. The lady asked me if food was okay and I told her my issue so she took it back and they gave me another steak along with another baked potato. The second steak was thinner. I liked the baked potato. However the steak was again a bit tough, not like the first one but I will prefer to go to another place for steak. The lady was nice in that she offered me free dessert to choose from after my meal.
Edit: I drove by recently to the plaza and saw signs up which indicated this place is no longer open. Atleast thats what it looked like. Posted on November 9, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Rude service by the owner's son or relative. Acting like out questions regarding the halal menu was a big burden. Left before ordering due to the bad service and alcohol. May Allah guide us all in all aspects of life
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2776 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik
Allah's Messenger (saws) invoked the curse of Allah on ten people in connection with wine: the wine-presser, the one who has it pressed, the one who drinks it, the one who conveys it, the one to whom it is conveyed, the one who serves it, the one who sells it, the one who benefits from the price paid for it, the one who buys it, and the one for whom it is bought.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4477 Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah
The Prophet (saws) said, "He who believes in Allah and the Last Day must not sit at a cloth (table or gathering) where wine is being circulated." Posted on November 6, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I understand the tendency to appreciate this place: an American establishment place that serves a mini-halal menu. It is great. I have two reservations that prompted my party to leave and go to the halal falafel restaurant next door: the halal menu is one page and produced only when asked for instead of having a sign that announces it (the Muslim owner is content with word of mouth and the zabihah app drawing in the Muslim foodies); there are wine bottles lined up behind the cashier. I am proud to eat halal and I guess I expect the same from the small business owners who sell it to me. I get that the owner wishes to serve the Muslim consumer cohort while drawing in the majority of business by serving non-Zabihah meat, pork, and alcohol - fare at any Sizzlers. It is just having it both ways does not sit right with people like me. To each his own. Posted on October 24, 2013 |

★★★★★ The burger is fantastic. The best I have ever tried in the US. I ordered one in the first place then I ordered another one for to go because it was incredible. Posted on January 20, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ It's ALWAYS cool to get a halal steak cooked by someone else. The halal menu does not include everything, but there is still a nice selection. The service was good. Still, don't confuse Sizzler for a top-end steakhouse. Posted on June 15, 2012 |

★★★★★ This place was great. It was the first time I had halal steak at a restaurant. They have a special halal menu and although it is not the same options on the real menu, it had a good number of options. There were steaks (which I got) and some sandwiches. I called the owner and he owns both sizzlers in the area and he suggested I come to this one because it has more options. Furthermore the salad and soup bar was great. There were a good number of options. There was also desert which was great. I would definitely come back. The best part of this place was the service. The owner/manager was really friendly. So friendly that he gave us the salad bar for free. The other service was friendly as well. The only problem that I had with the place was the location. The neighborhood wasn't great but I didn't face any issues. Posted on January 21, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I've been heer many times now. You have to ask for the halal menu. It's smaller than the regular but cooked in the same way. A variety of steak, chicken and seafood. My kids like to add the all you can eat salad bar. Owner is a very friendly guy. Recommended if you want American style food. Posted on January 27, 2011 |

★★★★☆ They have a partial zabihah menu -- when you are at the register you need to ask the cashier for the "Halal Menu". The halal menu has quite a few items. I had the Cajun Chicken sandwich with fries and there were great. There is ample seating (the facility is very spacious) and it is very clean. The prices are not too bad and the service is terrific. It's nice to see a chain like sizzler catering to the Muslim community. Please go there and inquire about the Zabihah menu items so they see the importance and demand. Posted on April 21, 2010 |

★★★★★ I love this place! It's great to be able to eat American food in a restaurant. I always get the steak sandwich and it's always tasty. The salad bar is good also. We know the owners and they are very nice. The servers are also very helpful and friendly. Posted on March 30, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ I commend them for going to extra length to add zabihah itmes to their menu, but that's about it. You've to be quiet careful if you want zabihah meat as some of their burgers even contain ham or pork itmes. Better to call in advance and make sure to ask specially for zabihah items from the menu. I believe Malibu chicken has ham on it. Posted on March 26, 2010 |

★★★★☆ This place is real good! While visiting Disney with family and friends we decided to stop by for dinner. Our party tried the cheeseburger, ultimate steak sandwich, chicken sandwich and the steak platter. All were very good. The burgers were a bit on the dry side despite ordering it medium-rare. However, the overall experience was above average. About 1/3 of the menu is halaal. Make sure to ask for the "halaal menu" before ordering as it is a separate menu. Next time I'm in Anaheim, I'll be sure to stop by again. Posted on October 11, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Really juicy burger.Good service. Only reservation being the serving of non-halal food and alcahol. Posted on July 31, 2007 |

★★★★★ If you want to have halal steak, than this is the place to go. Service was good and the food was good. If you want halal wings, you have to call in advance which gives them prep time. Highly recommend if you like American Steak. If you are one of those who enjoys desi food, than this is not the place for you. Posted on January 20, 2007 |

★★★★☆ The correct address is 888 S. Brookhurst Street. We ordered the steak & fries meal, and the shrimp & fish meal. It's was good to find a place that serves halal American food. Posted on September 10, 2005 |

★★★★☆ My husband loved this place .. we ended up twice in the 5 days we were in California. Its a bit wierd in that its half self-serve - you order at the counter and pay first.. then sit down and the waitress brings the food. The service was good. The halal menu is available at the counter so don't start drooling at the regular menu. We recommend the cajun and the sirloin steaks. Posted on June 15, 2005 |

★★★☆☆ It was near Disney so we go there. We ordered chicken sandwach and club sanwiches which were average. But for kids sandwich, it was only bun and chicken - no sauce or lettuce, nothing. Posted on July 12, 2003 |

★★★★★ It's always nice (and somewhat rare) to see a halal version of a well-known American food chain. For those of you wanting some traditional American dishes, Sizzzler is a great choice. The food there was very good, (finally managed to find that halal steak I've always been looking for). The manager, Zee Hussein was very nice, and the staff clearly knew about halal food. All in all a very good experience. I called in advance to make sure they had zabihah meat available, but on arriving the manager told us it was not necessary to call in advance, however I would suggest calling the restaurant (714) 772-0010 to make sure if you have a large party. ★★★★★ Works as advertised - I called up Zee Hussain and he set up some great halal steaks for us. The staff - even the non-Muslim ones - were very attentive and cheerful, and offered to make anything on the menu Halal. Posted on November 26, 2001 |
