★★★★★ This place is a blessing for everyone who eats Zabiha only and can only have the seafood option at American restaurants. I brought some of my Zabiha only friends here and they loved it. For many of them it was their first real taste of steak! The food quality was amazing and the decor was very upscale. HDTV's everywhere including the bathrooms. I wish this was around when I was in college, as it is open very late and has an impressive outdoor area. We were able to meet with the owner and he confirmed everything is halal. He went out of his way to provide an all halal menu for the community so please support him. I do not know of any other major American chains that serve an all halal menu! ★★★★★ Honestly, there are plenty of times I go into a restaurant with some non-Muslim friends, and am restricted to the fish-only parts of the menu, while they get to order amazing looking chicken dishes, beef, steaks, wings, etc etc etc!! I think all of us have been there! Well, if you're in this Virginia area, nay, if you're anywhere NEAR Virginia, you no longer have to sit idly by while your non-zabihah eating friends chow down! Bennigann's is obviously an Irish pub, so don't expect there to be no alcohol, no pork. Keep in mind, this is an American chain, and the main point to Bennigann's is that it's a sports bar place. That being said, everything but the pork and alcohol are HALAL. CONFIRMED BY OWNER, CONFIRMED BY STAFF. Zabihah Halal meat, Alhumdulillah! I ordered some dish with pasta and chicken and shrimp, and man oh man, I finally got to taste what I was missing out on! The food is prepared in American style, meaning you don't get that desi tasting masala with the Italian pasta dish you just ordered. If you're looking for desi food, go somewhere else, this is for those of us that can get desi anytime. It's really a treat to be able to eat American halal food cooked to this perfection. My buddy ordered a burger. I had a taste. Fantastic! Service was amazing, the owner even came out and said Salaam to us! The place is brand new, big wide-screen tv's, sports and news on all channels playing all the time. I repeat, this is a sports bar, but hey, how many times have you wished that a halal restaurant showed some good ol' fashioned sports like American restaurants do? If you grew up in America, you're gonna love this place. If you grew up anywhere, you're gonna love this place. Flavorful food, cooked really well, amazing presentation, and nice staff. It's just a winning situation you place yourself in when you go to this fine establishment. I'm really glad some entrepreneurs have the initiative to combine a sports bar, which serves alcohol, with halal food. It caters to everyone. We have to understand, that as a community, we don't live in a Muslim country. We live in a Christian, if anything, country. The owner could have taken the easy route and NOT offered all meat to be halal, but instead really worked hard to get halal meat on the menu, not just select dishes, but ALL dishes. These are things we should be supporting, and InshAllah we'll see more of our favorite restaurants becoming halal and offering halal options. It just takes one to start the trend, but it'll take our support to continue it! Support halal restaurants! InshAllah my review helped. All good I have said is from Allah, any wrong is obviously from flawed little ol' me. Posted on August 26, 2013 |

★★★★★ Great spot go all the time - ask what's halal to be sure Posted on February 15, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ My review is heavily negatively biased:
I went with a couple of friends. We asked the waiter to point out all the halal options on the menu. Every single thing we ordered, we still double checked to make sure it is halal. When the food came and we were eating, the Muslim Chef came out. Greeted us with Salams. Looked at our table. I asked him if everything we ordered was halal, he said "yes, insha'Allah everything is halal".
A few months later when we went back, I asked the waitress if the ribs were still halal. She said "the ribs are not halal". I said "they were halal before". She said "we have only served baby back ribs which are pork."
I know, Islamically, I did every form of precaution to ensure the food I was consuming was halal. But this is a horrible feeling to know I've consumed that filth. Granted... it tasted really good :-)
The Chef saw what we had. Even if the waiter was not fully educated (but he claimed he was) about the menu. The Chef knew what we were eating while we were eating it and still was dishonest about it. This is why I don't go to partial halal establishments. Posted on August 19, 2015 |

NR We had a terrible experience at Bennigan's. There were gnats everywhere and when we unwrapped the napkin, a cockroach crawled out. We received our appetizers at the same time as the meal and everything was dry and tasteless: the burger, steak, and Philly Cheesesteak. On top of this, the service was terrible. We were served our food and then the waitress disappeared. We had to look for her and ask her to refill our drinks. After all this she still did not apologize. Posted on September 13, 2014 |

★★★★☆ I'm always happy to see American food being served halal. It gives more variety for me. I've had the wings, chicken, and burger from this place. All were tasty and good. Prices aren't bad either. Posted on July 2, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Four words: To good for words. The waiter was very kind and funny. The food had excellent presentation and the overall atmosphere was very positive. Although there is a bar, a lot of families go there and it is very family friendly! The food was cooked to perfection and the choices were endless. I was so sad to leave!!!!! ★★★★★ FINALLY got to try this place out last week and all I can say is: WOW! I was a bit nervous when I walked in since I knew that this place was technically a pub, but relieved to see that the bar was located at the very end of the restaurant, away from the actual tables. When we were taken to our seats, the polite host informed us that most of their chicken & meat is halal, except for some foods that come "premade" but that our server would tell us which ones those were. I was surprised and happy that he gave us this information without us even asking him, since we saw that we were Muslim. When we saw the menu we were so overwhelmed at the delicious sounding food, that it took us a good 15 minutes to decide what we actually wanted. I ordered the Danny Boy and my friend ordered the steak. Both were incredibly delicious, but I found the chicken to taste better than the steak. Overall great service, great prices, I think mine cost around $12 and a great experience. Can't wait to go back!! Posted on January 13, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Finally a sports bar where I can watch my favorite football team play on sundays and eat all the oily greasy comfort food. Tried it yesterday and it was excellent. The wings, the pub bites, and that Danny boy chicken was delicious. Really wanted to try Pot Roast but came to know that it was marinated in red ale. Maybe next time when it is seasoned in ginger ale. I liked the fact that the waiters were well aware of the halal limitations of muslims. They clearly knew what was permissible and what was not.
Perfect recommendation when non-muslim friends asks for an American place. Posted on December 30, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went there two days ago and everything seemed to be fine. The manager or perhaps he was the owner came to us and asked if everything was ok. The service was very nice too. We tried the New York steak and it was presneted well and tasted wonderful. We also oredered buffalo chicken salad and that was quite good as well.
However, I was there last night and everthing turned out to be horrible. Ordered a char grilled steak which came out burnt. Its was presented on rice and with some small pieces of brocolli, which looked like left over, on the side and was not presentable at all. Also ordered chicken wrap which had no chicken and was loaded with cheddar cheese. The fries were cooked in old oli and were not freshly made. Above all the serving guy was very lousy, diodnt really care about service and addressing our issue. Infact he said thats how its suppose to be, as if I never had a steak beofre. When its black and thick flakes peeling off, its burnt. And that too all over. Bad show guys. Posted on October 26, 2013 |

★★★★★ Amazing food...Mazhar Bhai is really doing the Muslim community a big service by choosing to use halal meat. Many franchise owners choose to not go halal due the cost so I urge my fellow Muslims to support this establishment and show major franchises the benefit of catering to our community. ★★★★★ Awesome burgers!! Was driving back to NJ from Shenandoah and saw this on zabihah and detoured to this place. Met Mazhar and discussed halal options. In a nut shell an awesome experience on food for our family. The burgers were juicy and well made. Good luck on this!!! Posted on September 2, 2013 |

★★★★★ This halal bennigan's location was great. Got a chance to meet with the owner and had a very pleasant experience there. The halal menu had a variety of great dishes. It is a newly opened location and beautifully set up. I wish them a lot of success in keeping this endeavour going and hope that others take notice! Posted on August 27, 2013 |

NR Asslamu Alaykum
Thank you very much for attempting to make efforts to benefit the community. Unfortunately, similar business owners assume that slapping "halal" on the menu justifies the type of establishment they are in. Specifically, Bennigans is an Irish Pub. They have a full bar and full alcoholic menu. This is not a family restaurant. Viewing pictures and comments on their Facebook page offers additional insight: https://www.facebook.com/BennigansTysons. If users on here are searching for zabihah meat please be cautious of this any other places. Halal is the arabic word for permissible and the meat here may be categorized as this. My comments are in no way an effort to stop support from patrons; as the only intention is to save myself, the owners, and other Muslims from the Hellfire. Posted on August 24, 2013 |
Thank you for your comments - we have clearly labeled this as an alcohol-serving restaurant so people who feel uncomfortable in the presence of alcohol can avoid it if they wish. |

★★★★★ I ordered the chipotle chicken wrap. It was delicious and the service was great. The atmosphere was great too. Also the beef, chicken, and steak is halal. I was told by the owner that this is halal. You guys should try it! Posted on August 18, 2013 |
