El Mayor Restaurant & Bakery |
|
650 Division Road, Windsor, ON N8X 0A7
Elmayor has been a family owned restaurant since 1996. Kamel Abbas is the owner and is running it with his four children ,Lina ,Rima ,Sam and Hussein, along with his two daughter in laws Faith and Enas. Together they’ve succeeded in building one of Windsor’s most finest Lebanese cuisines. Elmayor makes you feel right at home! They call their customers "family" and they are definitely treated as such! From serving traditional Arabic coffee on the house after every meal , to knowing customers and their orders by name , to even helping customers speak a little Arabic while picking up some takeout; they work day and night to make sure the food you’re about to enjoy is cooked just like they make it in Lebanon. ★★★★☆ I had a great experience here. I enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. I would return again. Posted on December 18, 2009 |

★★★★★ This is the best fine dining restaurent in town. They just had the uplift last year and increased their seating capacity and renovated the interior and lighting. Food as usual is best in town and fresh. We always celebrate our anniversaries, birthdays and guest parties there and they never disappointed us. Their desert is alos good. ★★★★☆ Good serving size, very tasty food, reasonable price (a bit above average cost), great variety, and good service. Good place to eat. Posted on January 16, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ It is unforfunate that the quality and portions of the cuisine has rapidly gone downhill. This is most significantly seen in their sharwarma sandwich which is dry and tiny. This is a shame because their food used to be rather good years ago. Posted on October 14, 2005 |

★★★★☆ I've been quite a few times and definitely like it. Serving size is good. Not sure about the tight clothes, but sometimes they do not wear hijabs, but most of the time they do. I've been assured that it is halal. Posted on December 11, 2004 |
