★★★★★ I was in New York for three days. A friend had talked up this place and I had high expectations. Started with lentil soup then the Lahmacun (ground beef with vegetables inside two pieces of thin and somewhat crunchy bread.) Next up was the mixed grill. Great size: lamb, chicken and beef kabobs with rice, grilled tomato, capsicum and other veggies. Finally my favorite dish of all was Sultan's Delight which is lamb stew on top of puréed eggplant. So flavorful! Capped it off with traditional tea that couldn't be hotter, perfect.
Many, many dishes. I wish I could have tried them all. It would take five or more trips to accomplish that.
Someone was celebrating a birthday on this night and the place was packed for dinner. They turned down the lights and turned up traditional music and all eyes turned to the table that was celebrating. I'm sure it was a special night for them. A thoughtful way for the restaurant to make the night special for them.
Really enjoyed it all. I truly haven't had this flavorful of a Turkish meal in a very long time.
If you try what we had I am confident you'll have yourself a memorable dining experience. Fortunately I found the food and service much better than recent reviews indicated.
They also serve breakfast. Very curious how that would be but I'm flying out too early!!
I hope to come back here the next time I fly back from CA Posted on August 9, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ The food was bland and the service was fine, no perverts to report lol
I tried it once and probably would not go again unless your Turkish and prefer the spiceless taste Posted on May 27, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place has the perfect recipe for failure;
-Bland food
-jacked prices
-servers are slow, emotionless and perverts if u are a female.
-no parking
This place is a waste Posted on January 17, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Food is ok not the best Doner Kebob I have had (it's local that's why I like it) One thing though if you call and take out for Doner Gyro 90% of the time they will say they ran out. Very ODD. It's as though they don't like to cater to people who place orders on the phone and pick up. Weird. Posted on July 17, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ Used to be great, but since the management changed, I can't recommend anymore. Definately went down in quality (I ordered the chicken kebabob lunch special). Posted on July 16, 2013 |

★★★★★ Very nice place, nice staff , food was. Fantastic. Posted on June 16, 2013 |

★★★★★ Food is great. Loved their babagonoush. It's a tricky dish as not everyone can make it perfectly. Their bread in itself is enough to keep me coming back. The Pide and Adana kabab are a must. Posted on June 2, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Great Food but service is slow. Very neat and quiet atmosphere great for families. Be prepare for at least 20 minutes to get your order and 15 minutes to get check after you are done eating, Definitely worth a try. (Try Chicken Adana or Pide) Posted on August 21, 2010 |

★★★★★ One of my favorite places to eat on Long Island.
Food is always fresh and mouth watering.
Only downside is, this place (like any good Mediterranean Restaurant) is not cheap.
Note: They do serve Liquor... Doesn't mean you have to drink it ;)... But should be pointed out. Posted on June 7, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ They will win the slowest service award. I have been there several times with family and kids. To my surprise we were wearing transparent clothes everytime cause there was a good 10-15 mins delay before someone present the menu. I am not a bad tipper either! Food is OK to good, prices are comparable, good sitting area and definitely clean. Poor service has caused them my business, I have stop going there. Posted on April 24, 2010 |

★★★★★ This has been one of my favorite restaurants on the Island. Service wasn't great but alh. can't complain. The food was fantastic, serving size was excellent. I did not see them serve alcohol, however they did permit to bring their own. Its a nice sit down restaurant with the family. Good for take out.
Chicken shish kababs have always been a family favorite. Not too pricey Posted on November 2, 2008 |

★★★★★ if your willing to wait for your food this is the place for you, great portion, good prices..the bread is the best turkish/afghani bread ever along with the salad which i usually dont eat but they've got an extra kick to it Posted on October 29, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ Excellent food, poor service unless you are turkish or jewish. They have a halal sign in the window and I got the idea they serve alcohol when i saw a few customers drinking it even though its not officially on the menu. I called over the phone and asked, and YES ,wine is served if asked for. I noticed turkish and Jewish customers get served very well. My wife wears hijab and we have gotten some bad vibes from the place.
If you eat there, try their turkish pizzas or their chicken breast sauce with rice....execellent taste. Posted on October 7, 2006 |

★☆☆☆☆ awful service. Noone came to help us - had to wait while "other" Turkish customers were being helped. Posted on May 22, 2006 |

★★★★★ Masha'Allah - great food and wonderful ambience. However, when you go, do plan out some time for it... service tends to be a little slow... esp. around dinner time. But, the food's most definitely worth the wait. (Share the pide with a friend!) ;) Posted on September 20, 2005 |

★★★★★ assalamualaikum wr - the food was really great here. there was maashaAllah a good variety - with vegetarian options also. My favorites were the special betya kebab and the chicken combo platter. The bread as appetizer's pretty good too. Very pretty place maashaAllah with good service too. Posted on April 28, 2005 |

★★★★★ Food is very nice, the place is decorated well. You can go and take some people with you to this place, and have a nice meal. I would say that it is a keeper. Oh and also it is very clean Alhamdulilah. Posted on April 26, 2005 |

★★★★★ Assalamu alaikum, I have to say, the food was, alh, great. Clearly the best Mediteranean food I have ever had, and at a reasonable price too. The service, ambience and food were excellent. I would recommend this place to everyone, and I strongly suggest the Beyti Kabab with white sauce. The turkish coffee was good as well, however the syrup was left at the bottom, and I don't know if its meant to be like that, but it tasted great. It took 35 minutes to get there from our house, but I thought it was definately worth it. Posted on January 31, 2005 |
