★★★★☆ Awesome Chapli Kababs.... probably the best on this side of the globe. Have been there a few times. Chapli Kabab remains our top pick. Reminds you of the Peshwari chapli kababs in taste and texture. Rest of the menu can be hit or miss but their kababs are consistently good. Posted on September 28, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Went here recently for a late lunch and tried the Chicken Karahi (excellent), Chapli Kebabs (good) and mango lassi (on the tart side, but still good). The Chicken Karahi was very flavorful and I continued to eat the sauce with naan after all the chicken was gone! The Chapli Kebabs were spicy but tasty. I would have liked them a bit more crispy, but they were still good. Nice interior decor. Limited seating, but owner is planning to expand to have some seating outside. It's a fairly new place, so I recommend people to try it out and support it! You will not be disappointed! Posted on August 23, 2014 |

★★★★★ It just opened so we thought we'd check it out.
The chapli kabab is the star here, with the traditional Pakistani-Peshawari style. The owner told us that this is the only place serving authentic Peshawari chapli in the area and I believe him, although I've never actually looked. Having grown up with Peshawaris, I can definitely say that this chapli was indeed, authentic Peshawari.
The restaurant location was very low-key and almost uninviting, but when we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the decor. It had almost a spa-like feel to it. I can't say the decor made us want to eat more, but it certainly put me in a calm zen.
I have several recommendations to the owner-- for starters, it would be great if he could get HFSAA certified or hand slaughtered organic zabihah meat (not sure if he currently uses this meat). I think he also needs some more veg dishes to stay viable, given the Indian grocery store customer potential next door-- but at the same time, he should stay true to his roots and offer authentic northern Pakistani food.
I like this place and I am rooting for it to succeed. I hope to keep giving it high reviews after a few months. Let's see if he keeps his quality up. Posted on August 22, 2014 |
