A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this restaurant. Halal banner from their halal butcher is visible everywhere in the restaurant. Austria's official halal sign can also be seen, and the staff readily confirms halal status. From a reader: 'I have known this restaurant from the beginning, and the owner is very keen on serving halal - thus he also doesn't serve alcohol at all.'

NR I was served the worst Doner I've ever had in Döner'ci. I specifically asked for the the Doner to be cut fresh. Instead I got got burnt doner meat which unchewable. I came here becaue of the good review on Zabiha. The meat was so burnt and must have been sitting on a plate for a long time, it was as hard plastic.
I complained the meat was burnt and very hard, the staff serving me was very unwelcoming and rude to and said something in Turkish/German, knowing well that I did not understand yet he had already told me he knew some English.
More expensive than anyother doner I have had so far in Vienna at 3.70 I am not impressed at all.
Very dissaponted!

★★★★★ Döner'ci offers the best veil shawarma in town- even better than Türkis! Also, what I love most about this restaurant is, that they serve 4 different varietes of halal burger (Hamburger, Texas Burger (yum...with beef-ham), Fishburger (for veggies) and plain Cheeseburger). Having halal burger now in Vienna, one doesn't need to worry about getting a halal McDonalds. The French fries are fine, could be better, but the experience is still worth the while. What is also exeptionally good, but a bit fatty, is the hot dog. It comes in two different variations: either the normal hot dog with a plain sausage, or the "Kösekrainer" with a cheese-filled sausage. There are several varieties of pizzas available, ranging from meat toppings to completely vegetarian pizza. All the meat toppings are halal, of course. 6 tram just stops in front of the premises, so one can either eat at the restaurant or order a take away and then ride back into the city. The "Favoritenstraße" a shopping street in the tenth district, is just nearby, as well as a lot of parks and stuff. It'd take you 20 minutes from here to the city centre. The restaurant is part of a turkish shopping street of sorts- u will find a turkish hotel just on the opposite side of the street, and also an ice-cream parlour owned by the same person as Döner'ci. All in all, a very nice dining experience. Posted on July 19, 2014 |
