★★★★★ Good food and friendly owner. Cheap and excellent service. Posted on June 26, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ I went here in Feb 2013. They only do buffet menu. There are like 8 menu items, 3 of which are salad soup and dessert. The beef rendang is good and so are the noodles..it's all you can eat so eat all the beef you can..but watch your cholesterol...lol
I have heard that they serve roti cani..which is a really good flaky bread that you dip in curry sauce..but I didn't see it last time.
I wish they had a full menu..because the food can get boring over time, then it probably would be 5/5 Posted on March 25, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ first time trying malaysian food but i think their buffet menu does injustice to what else they offer according to the other reviews...went on sat, buffet is $9.99 and consists of white rice, chicken (marinated in some kind of sauce), noodles, and a beef korma type dish...all the dishes have a sweet taste...i think i would return but try their regular menu..but for 10 bucks you cant really go wrong...they also have a no food wastage policy where they charge you 10 bucks if you dont finish your food...i am serious...the sign says its strictly enforced although nobody checked our plates afterwards...even though we finished everything... ★★★★☆ We enjoy eating at Kedah house, my wife is Malay and hankers for home food. Food is authentic and good, my daughter loves the prata with curry and/or condensed milk. I love the chicken fried rice. Staff is friendly and service fast. They have a buffet on weekends which is a good value as well.
Be careful, they close weekdays from 2:30 to 5 or something like that so call ahead. Weekends they are open all day.
Only complaint is a bit too much salt sometimes but just be sure to ask for less salt. Posted on March 28, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ We had Kedah House for a family function. It was good but the food got cold fast. For the order sizethat we put in, they should have been constantly heated. Other times that I've gone without the family, it's been good. Posted on May 23, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ I am from Calgary and went here for the buffet during my visit to Vancouver. I am used to eating South Asian/Western foods. This was a unique experience. The chicken was similar to chicken curry, though a lot less gravy and flavor, but a lot of oil. There was a beef dish of some sort, which I enjoyed. The staff was friendly, but I guess you would enjoy this food more if you already have a liking for Malay food. Posted on August 7, 2007 |

★★★★★ The best Malaysian food we ever tried in North America. The fried chicken is so delicious. They have buffet on Sat and Sun for $9.90 CAD with good collections. We came back to the restaurant for every meal when we are in Vancouver and even pack food for our trip to Banff National Park. Must try the Fried Noodle, samble prawns and chicken. The most authentic Malaysian food you will ever get. We will be back again next year Insyallah. Posted on July 11, 2007 |

★★★★☆ Great food, moderately priced. If you plan to go there I strongly recommend that you call ahead and make reservations otherwise you may end up waiting for some time. That is what the staff suggested and we experienced first hand. The only downside to this place, much like most other Muslim businesses, customer service can use improvement. Posted on May 20, 2007 |

★★★★★ Really Pleased to have found this one, this family ran a joint on Fraser near Yunus Kathrada's old musalla, but that had closed down recently.
So really glad they have found bigger and better premises here on Marine Drive, South Vancouver (near Knight Street bridge and Victoria Drive).
Pleasantly surprised at the nice atmosphere and good people running the place.
Food is good, well priced, authentic home-stle cooking ( for example, curries on-the-bone.
Decent, through out, so no room for criticism - well worth a try -
i haven't been to other malaysian cuisine places, so can't compare but compared to South Asian or Chinese food as available in Vancouver, this beats them hands down.
Halal is assured by, owners, signage and the islamic atmosphere prevailing thoghout, which is rather a pleasant surprise - beacuse every time i have been near this place, i seldom if ever see other muslims, although it is often packed out and business is doing very well without our community's patronage.
Anyway, i urge my fellow Lower Mainland brothers and sisters to check this place out and come back to this site to add your honest reviews.
On that point, why aren't you guys adding more reviews on about tall the latest halal openings- ther are new restaurants popping up every week - they need our support, go out test them, and let the community now.
