NR 1st of all this is not Uyghur cuisine. It is Uzbek cuisine and in particular Bukharan Jewish cuisine. The restaurant is owned by Bukharan Jews, and we went there yesterday based on the fact that we received a notification from Zabihah of the addition of this new halal place. I asked the waitress (who is the owner of the place) if the meat is halal and she said yes all halal. On our way out we learned from some signs that the owners are Bukharan Uzbek Jews and now we're a bit wondering why would they get Halal meat and so doubting its halal status. However, I am trying to figure out now if it's Kosher (which will make it halal) and if it is, we would be visiting this restaurant often as we loved the food. Posted on July 26, 2011
★★★☆☆ restaurant serves halal, however alcohol is also served.
they give small amount of food for each order and the price is expensive.
most south asians who first eat this food will see that its not that spicy (since south asians use a lot more spices than central asians do).
however, if you're interested in tasting food from an often ignored part of the muslim world (central asia) try this place out! Posted on July 25, 2011
