NR I visited this place today with my husband we had afew dishes... (Pizza, Stromboli and shawarma plate) based on the reviews I thought this place was going to be a hit..
I actually feel bad to report it was a terrible experience, we ordered a slice of chicken pizza which was dry and the chicken tasted and smelled like it was days old.. My husband had a chicken shawarma plate... Again the chicken was dry and tasted awful... Again the chicken appeared days old... We also tried Stromboli again stuffed with old and dry meat... we sadly had to throw away pretty much all of the food we ordered as non of it was fresh.. It actually smelled and I was truly disappointed... I had noticed before I wrote this review that many of the other reviews were old... Maybe it was a good place to eat at the beginning...or Maybe it was just our bad experience...But I will not return here... The food which We had on or visit was terrible... ★★★★☆ Had the chicken shawarma plate, the beef kebab plate and the philly cheese steak combo. All was above average especially the chicken shawarma, tastes especially good with the garlic sauce. No complaints with the kebobs either. The philly cheese steak was really good, didn't like that they put strips of cheddar cheese on top (prefer melted mozzarella) but still tasted good. Prices were reasonable, we paid $27 for all this philly combo included a drink and fries). Posted on August 23, 2015 |

★★★★★ I'm from Chicago, and since becoming Muslim I haven't had a good pepperoni pizza in awhile. This place really satisfied my craving, and the owner was very nice. I highly recommend! Posted on September 24, 2013 |

★★★★★ The shawarma platter is awesome. Also don't forget to try their Stromboli. Posted on June 10, 2013 |

★★★★★ Awesome shawarma and decent pricing. Best shawarma i had until today in Canada. The guys are friendly. Posted on June 28, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ The food was average. We had Philly stake/chicken both were bland no real flavor .. we also had chicken wings and there was barley any sauce on them. Overall 3 stars. Posted on June 24, 2012 |

★★★★★ Very nice food Masha Allah. Meat shawarma is missing. They should add it to the menu.
They should have more family specials too.
The food was yummy. Posted on April 22, 2011 |

★★★★★ Wow, as a convert I'm surprised to read the previous comment. I thought we're supposed to have good doubt about our brothers and sisters in Islam (and trust a muslim's word btw). Anyhow, this is one of the best Halal joints in the downtown core, masha'allah. Staff is friendly, and the food is reliably good. They used to have a location in Scarborough that I would order from even with my non-muslim family. The philly steak is realllllyy yummy masha'allah and they have a good chicken salad, where they use the shawarma meat and you can pick up to 5 toppings to add on as well. That's one of my other faves. Pizzaland in Scarborough has really good chicken wings, but I think Slice of New York is just as good. Close to masjid Toronto, so location can't be beat. ★★★★★ I know the owners and many of the employees personally. By Allah, the food they serve and sell to their customers is halal. Not only that, it's very good! Posted on April 19, 2011 |

★★★★★ We catered from them for our MSA gathering. They charged us $5 per person. I couldn't believe the amount of food they give us. They even gave us free food. I personally couldn't finish my plate. The food was delicious and very well cooked. May Allah reward them for their contributions and Support to MSA. Posted on November 14, 2010 |

★★★★☆ AlAbbar - I hate to become that which I despise most about the internet (contributor to the evergrowing electronic waste-of-space) but I had to reply to your post.
I've actually been to this specific restaurant more than 50 times and I agree - great people. I went to school nearby. Pizza is unique and tasty compared to the dime a dozen slice joints around, but you have to eat it FRESH (I mean hot out of the oven). When it sits around, it tends to not taste as great. There were times I didn't like it either, one time I returned it.
Providing a review does not make you racist "to your own people". I'm not sure you "respected" his opinion considering your accompanying slander.
Let's all learn to control our emotions in a productive way. A'oodhu billahi ina ash-shaytaani ar-rajeem.
On the other hand, Afzal does have a lot of time on his hands. Posted on September 29, 2010 |

★★★★★ I really enjoy their food. I keep on coming back. They are owesome people. I have a comment to the Afzal guy. I think you are racist to your own people (Sorry for being frank). I have read your comments to other places and you are not being fair to many of the restaurants (Except your own). Anyway, this is your opinion and I respect it. Seeing the amount of restaurants you commented on, I think you have lots of time on your hands. Why don't you try to do something more useful than trashing businesses. I went to couple of the restaurants you really trashed and I didn't see what you wrote about them. I think Zabeeha should add the Afzal Rating. Or maybe not. We don't want all the restaurants to go out of business. Posted on September 27, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ It's an average place. Almost all items most of the time look like they've been sitting around too long. There is no way they live up to the name "Slice of New York." Maybe Slice of Buffalo, NY. Posted on August 2, 2010 |

|
★★★★☆ Not bad at all. I had the pizza which was pretty good, cant wait to go back to try the other stuff on the menu like the stromboli, calzone, rotisserie chicken etc which all looked good. Posted on July 24, 2010 |

★★★★★ I visited when my family and I were in Toronto. They have great customer service and even better food. I would especially recommend their shawarma and stromboli. One of my cousins has a laundry list of allergies and they were more than willing to accomodate her questions regarding ingredients and making custom sandwiches for us. A must if you are in town and a fan of North American/Ilatian sandwiches. Posted on July 9, 2010 |

★★★★★ Just out of curiosity I tried their downtown location and it is even better. Now I have a restaurant that I can "Mine". I thought their Scarborough location rocks but downtown one is WoooooooooooooooooW.
Beautiful Pizza display in downtown. Again, HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGLY recommended.
What do you want more? Amazing food, friendly staff, nice place and all Halal. Next will be asking for the moon. Posted on March 10, 2010 |

★★★★★ I love this place. it improved a lot since it became owned by QSSC. They have 100% halal food. They cheese is bacterial and i saw the bags of cheese myself. Try their stombolis. The all meat one is owsome. Their shawarma reminds me of al Mallah in Dubai. Very friendly staff. Best food ever. Posted on March 7, 2010 |

★★★★☆ very good food except the wings, avoid those, good for a quick grab and go or sit in and eat .. prices are fair as well Posted on August 13, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Visited today based on the recommendations. You cannot go wrong with the Stromboli.
Very good atmosphere, although service was a bit slow but that's mainly because everything is being prepared in front of you!
Definitely recommend! Posted on June 26, 2009 |

★★★★★ This place serves pizza, strombolis, cheese steaks, wings, etc and all halal. Being able to have halal hawaiian (w/ deli chicken) is a great experience. If you're up for pizza, get whatever looks fresh out of the oven, but in particular you HAVE to try their "taco slice". But make sure it's fresh, if it's the last piece that's been sitting around forever, it's no good.
Wings are good as well. Cheese steak is the best I've had in TO, but I've had better back home in NYC. Friendly staff and very popular with Muslims. Masjid Toronto is a 5 minute walk away, so it's nice to grab some food there after prayers. Posted on June 3, 2009 |

★★★★☆ This place serves all kinds of pizza (including slices), shawarmas, platters, wings, strombolis and much more. The wings are very good. Make sure to get the spicy BBQ wings. The honey garlic is too sweet and not as tasty. The philly cheese steak and beef kabab sandwich is real good. Been here three days in a row! Prices are just a little on the high side, but worth it, overall. Posted on May 21, 2009 |

★★★★★ All their food is GREAT !!!. Try their meatballs with veggie rice. It is the best. I love the Strombolis as well. Decent people and May Allah Bless the owner Posted on October 21, 2008 |

★★★★☆ On a pricey side but these guys know very well what they are giving and they prepare it very professionally. Manhattan stromboli actually had the cheese stretching out, good taste. Posted on April 1, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ good food...like the stramboli Posted on February 19, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ The food was OK - nothing special. Would not give it four stars though.
The stromboli is their main dish, it's ok. The food is excellently priced, and the portions are big.
The pizza's are decent. This is an honest restaurant, nothing gourmet. Posted on September 28, 2006 |
