★★★★★ Are you from Michigan, Lebanon, or any other place with a significant Lebanese population, and just CRAVING some good ol' fashioned shish tawuk?
Good luck finding any in the Bay Area... well, that's what I used to say, until I stumbled upon this little gem.
I LOVE this place and Aida is a sweet lady. She has a few recipes and this place doesn't offer much by way of menu selection or venue.
But what it does offer is solid.
Old Lebanese recipes perfected. Sandwiches wrapped with love. This place is the true essence of a mom-n-pop shop.
Five stars don't do it justice. Can I give it six? Posted on September 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ Best shish tawouk sandwich I've ever had! Awesome Lebanese pizza. Owners are very kind and hospitable. Everything served is from a family recipe. Only one employee, the owner, who does all of the cooking. Will definitely go back, again and again! Posted on March 9, 2013 |

★★★★★ I went to this humble restaurant with my husband and my 4 year old daughter (who doesn't usually eat ) . The moment we entered the place , the owner's wife welcomed us with a big heart warming smile ( you know the one that grandmothers give ) .. although they were ready to close they welcomed us very kindly as if we were really their guests and not their customers .
We ordered : Taboolah , Manageesh, Shish kabab sandwitches : beef and chicken . EVERYTHING tasted amazingly delicious and fresh , which makes you wonder , how could only two people do it alone .
we also took a coke and a snapple , and the total was 27 dollars .. For me it was worth every penny , because HALAL meat is expensive .. I wish we have this place in Omaha .
I really recommend this place because when it comes to HALAL food , I am a very skeptical person .. however I was not in this place :)
By the way , they were so friendly , that they gave us a complimentary plate of 3 kinds of Ma'amool for the Eid .. Posted on November 6, 2011 |

★★★★★ The Lebanese owners are very sweet and remember their customers. I usually buy the chicken wrap (chicken breast and picked beets) - delicious and very filling. We also get the meat pies which are flavorful.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants halal food in Sunnyvale. Posted on July 3, 2011 |

★★★★★ A true mom and pop operation where a middle-aged lady and her husband preparing the food and serving the customers. Very nice people with lots of personal touch. The food is also authentic home made delicacy, not the mass produced fast food type stuff. The menu is not very rich, but I am sure they will be happy to prepare anything for you if you give them advance notice. A small place with a few tables inside and a couple outside. Halal sign on their menu. Sweet nice clean place where you can take your colleagues for a casual lunch. Posted on July 28, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Went here for lunch today. Had a half chicken and half beef Shawerma. Both were excellent! The beef was very tender and flavorful. Also had Lebanese rice with almonds, chick peas and ground beef on the side. Very good. The Combo meal i ordered also included another side dish so I got some hummus with pita bread. The hummus seemed a bit stale, but still tasted ok. Very friendly service. Not too much seating inside, but they do have some outdoor seating as well. Check out this place if you're in the area. ★★★★★ I finally found a place with an authentic taste of Lebanon. Unlike other resturants, the cook is lebanese with lebanese taste and lebanese cooking standards. I've tried Shawarma and the meat was the most tender that i've tasted ever. You really should try it. My husband had the Shiskh Tawook and Falafel. He loved both and commented on the Falafel to being very delicious. Even my kids loved the falafel and miniature meat pies. My 10 month old baby ate 3 meat pies (believe it or not). Tabouleh tasted very fresh (unlike the ones u get at other resturants that are dull, tasteless and old). I've seen the lady make fresh tabouleh while i was waiting for food. Pita chips were a good unique touch to hummus and baba ghanouj. They have good variety for vegetarians (moujadara, couscous salad, falafel, cheese & zaatar manaeesh, veggie burger and rice stuffed vine leaves. We tried halawi bjiben (dessert) and i was on cloud nine (big portion). The most i crave for (silly me) is the garlic spread. My full stomach prevented me from trying the manaeesh and kenefa. Well, it just means i'd have to go there for breakfast.
Please let's support this family owned muslims. The couple are very friendly, polite, considerate and openly accept suggestions. They'll make you feel like you are at their home. I truely wish them the best of luck and pray that Allah grant them success.
By the way, they will not feel offended at all if you request halal verification. I personally saw it. Posted on October 11, 2009 |
