★★★★★ In short: very unique tasty spices and flavors, excellent service, great price, definitely will visit again.
Background:
- Went there with my family (wife, three children) on Saturday night for dinner
- There was a wedding in the restaurant hall (waiters were overwhelmed)
- Went for the buffet to try different items.
- Due to the wedding celebration, the buffet was not regularly maintained.
- The manager, Mr. Mohammad, was very kind and offered my family to order any dish from the menu since the buffet was not ready.
- Appreciate the great service. Definitely will visit again with more family & friends.
The GOOD
- Restaurant is very clean! Trendy atmosphere with nice seating area. Big space.
- Great prices. Dinner buffet is $11.99 (Adult), $7.99 (child). Almost all menue dinner entries are less than $10
- Amazing food!: Lamb karhayee is EXCELLENT, Qabuli Pallow, Sultani & Chapli Kabab and Spinach tastes so good.
- Serving size and quality of food is delicious.
- Friendly customer service lead by a GREAT manager.
The BAD
- The buffet is mixed of Afghan & Pakistani food (but the menu is genuine Afghan food). My family does not eat spicy food. So the buffet was not a goof choice :(
- Limited food selection in the buffet. I hope they could improve the buffet selection or better yet serve only Afghani dishes. It is OK to increase the buffet price if serving more Afghani dishes.
During my Next Visit:
- Will order from the menu to try the genuine Afghan food.
- Planning to try Burani Banjan (eggplant appetizer). Posted on October 12, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Excellent restaurant. We tried Chapli kabab, Grilled Tilapia, and Sultani platter. All were really tasty. Appetizer Bulani(?) which is like Aloo Paratha was delicious. They do need to improve their service quite a bit which is why the 4-star rating. Posted on August 30, 2015 |

★★★★★ The restaurant is great. It brings together the best of the entrées of Southeast Asia i.e., Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The service and the environment are wonderful. We were a party of four and late for the buffet and the buffet table had already been picked up. The owner bent backwards and brought all the buffet items to our table in platters and constantly refilled the ones that were ready to run out. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. ★★☆☆☆ We were a party of 6 adults and 3 kids who had a weekend lunch at this venue. The adults tried the buffet which was too spicy for the kids, who ordered the Kabuli pulao from the menu. We were pretty unimpressed with the buffet items, as there were only 2 items that could be termed as Afghani specialties, which were the Kabuli pulao and the chapli kababs, which were made in the mughlai "shami" kabab style. The rest of the items were more south asian style such as the tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, chciken and beef curries and a couple of vegetarian dishes. There was one sweet dish which was purported to be firni but tasted more like the supermarket rice pudding. Service was slow and we had to request several times for water and naan. The restaurant also refused to honor a coupon, saying that it was applicable to only one person and not the entire party, although nothing of this sort was specified on the coupon. Overall, pretty unimpressed and not worth a second visit. Posted on January 4, 2015 |
