★★★★☆ I had the double cheeseburger here this evening and I must admit it ranks among the better burgers I've eaten. The restaurant was neat and clean and the owner was friendly and courteous. Posted on March 18, 2017 |

★★☆☆☆ Good
* Finally a HALAL Zabihah Place in Skokie.
* The pizza and biryani is really good.
* The place inside looks much better
Bad
* The service and wait time is terrible.
* The restaurant is run by husband and wife which mean no waiter.
* The napkins are served by how many people are on table. They will not give you any extra napkins.
* Water is served from TAP water, and it taste really bad. You have to serve it yourself. and does not have any pitcher to give.
* Does not have any ICE.
* Bathroom is very dirty.
* No napkins or dryer in the bathroom.
* Everything else beside Pizza, Biryani and certain burgers are really BAD.
* Not once did he smile throughout our stay at the restaurant.
Verdict:
Personally, This is the last I will ever go to this place. My family is huge and this is a place that we will definitely not go. After spending $200 bucks on this restaurant, I should have not have these issues. I appreciate that husband and wife are running this place and it works, but go for a different option near by. I'm not picky when it comes to restaurants but after Friday challenge this is no longer a restaurant on my list. Posted on October 15, 2016 |

★★★★☆ Love their Chicken Briyani so much that I crave for it every week. Their food is mostly very tasty, pizzas, burgers, naan, its all really good.
Takes time for the food to come when one dines in. I am assuming its because they are short staffed in the kitchen but they make it up for the quality of the food which is good.
Definitely recommend this place. And tip: Order in advance for take-away is best if dine-in waiting isn't your cup of tea. Posted on February 3, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ We went to this place based on some good reviews on this site. However, our experience was not good. The restaurant was mostly empty but it took half hour before the order was served. It seemed more like an arabic restaurant based on the mix grill platter we ordered esp. rice included with it. Nihari tasted like it was from yesterday. Likewise, naan was not cooked in house but more like a grocery store brand heated with too much oil. Posted on December 20, 2015 |

★★★★★ I ordered takeout but noticed the nice interior upon pickup. Don't let the exterior fool you! The best zabihah burger I've eaten in Chicago. I can taste and smell the charcoal from the grill. Also, the beef patties taste fresh and not frozen. Will definitely support this business in the future! Posted on November 28, 2015 |

★★★★★ Nice cozy family run restaurant in Skokie. Have been there twice and liked their bbq and bacon cheese burger. They just take a lot of time in preparation but no complaints once you get to eat your food. Friendly people and great taste. Portions are nice for the price. Posted on June 15, 2015 |

★★★★★ Gyro Burger was awesome! Have to come back and try the pizza and other burgers. This should be listed under "Near North," not "Northwest Suburbs." Posted on April 28, 2015 |

★★★★★ Simply Amazing! I tried the Philly Cheeseburger which was wonderful! the bun was amazing, everything was fresh. the fries was okay. I also tried the grilled chicken sandwich was also amazing, perfectly grilled. And what I also liked about the burger is that it's charbroiled. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm going to try the pizza next time since my friend recommended it for me. The only bad thing is that they close on Monday, but since they just opened and don't have much employees it's understandable..
I knew about them from the flyers they were handing out at MEC on Jummah.
I'd recommend it for everyone.. it's absolutely wonderful! definitely going back.. Posted on February 16, 2015 |

NR My family and I dine out at least once a week and we are harsh judgers. Went to Al-Watan last night with a large group they were advertising their grand opening at MEC Jummah. Ordered a bunch of things ranging from American food: Bacon Cheeseburger with Peri Wings to thin crust house meat lovers pizza to desi items like Briyani and curries for my parents. Everything was delicious! Try the homemade peri sauce! The burger patties were huge and I can't get enough of the halal turkey bacon! The pizza was perfect! Had a bit of a European touch to it. My parents loved the desi food as well. Normally we don't dine on Devon cuz the desi food is primarily made by non-desi cooks and the food tastes accordingly. I actually saw a desi auntie cooking in there which explains why my parents loved the desi food. So glad I don't have to go to Devon to get a good burger and meat filled pizza anymore.
