★★☆☆☆ My husband and I came here and I got the cheeseburger and fries while he got the Philly cheesesteak, the fries were good and so was the cheeseburger (hard to mess up a cheeseburger) but the Philly cheesesteak smelled off and made my husband sick so we haven’t been back since. ★☆☆☆☆ I agree; there is something wrong with this place. Very poor service. Not enough food in the plate. The guys are unpleasant. We ordered four plates, Barg kabob was too stiff. We ordered Shawarma but we got Gyros!!!
The worst experience that I ever had. Posted on November 12, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ Sorry to say, there is something clearly wrong with this place. Food smelled, felt and tasted strangely weird. I am not sure why anyone would go back , unless it's the only place open. Avoid. Posted on August 10, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ Summary: worst food, and in addition to that - a rude owner not ready to listen to a customer. Please do yourself a favor, don't go to this place. By the way the halal certificate displayed in the restaurant is not updated after 2010. Posted on May 29, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ The worst food ever! To top it all was the arrogance of the guy who didn't want to listen when we told him the chicken smelled bad. The shawarma was horrible (both chicken and beef) and the chicken skewer was terribly chewy and hard. We took a bite and called him immediately to let him know politely. But he wouldn't listen and was very rude. So we decided to leave right away. Just before that he shamelessly charged us the complete amount for the meal. And we hadn't had more than a bite of it!! Most pathetic customer service ever! With such an attitude I wonder how he'll ever run a business successfully. Posted on May 29, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ The food is not worth the price. If you have been to other Middle Eastern restaurants in the Bay area (which I have), you have something to compare this place to. The chicken kabobs were not very well flavored and the rice served with the dish was dry.
Also, their pricing is misleading. They have the lunch menu up for display, but they charge "dinner menu" prices (they clearly don't have a separate dinner menu). I just paid and left and will not be returning. I don't like being ripped off for sub-par food. Posted on December 16, 2012 |

★★★★★ Good food. There was a new guy running the place. He said the place has been around 45 years, but that now he wants to bring in a new menu, such as shawarmas etc.. He took a picture of the beef shawarma he made for me to put on a facebook page apparently. So, they seem to be working on improving themselves. The shawarma was pretty good, Alhumdulillah. ★★★☆☆ Was not too impressed with this place........Food is decent, but set up is lousy as it is literally a "hole-in the wall" joint......Service is okay, only problem is the owner and many of the workers do not speak English very well (or at all) so it can be challenging communicating with them. ★★★☆☆ Went here for lunch today. They take credit card, but only if the min. amount is $10.00 (this is not stated anywhere of course), so I had to go the liquor store next door to get cash. I tried the Kubideh Sandwich, which was alright. I little on the dry side, but got better as I ate the sandwich. I asked for spicy, but it was not spicy at all...maybe since Im a Paki and use to "real" spicy! Anyways this place is decent, but nothing to write home about. Posted on January 28, 2008 |

★★★★★ great place and service. the young boys are very sweet. i love their koobideh kabob, and their fresh and hot mashi just melts in your mouth. the hummus is particularly good. however, since they don't have any sauce on top of the rice dishes i wouldn't advise take-out: it gets really dry that way. ★★★★☆ Sorry to hear about Ehthesham's bad experience there, but my friends and I go there all the time for lunch and have always felt very welcomed by the owner. The food tastes really good also. Posted on October 12, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ Bad attitude, so-so food and hardly anything great about the ambience. Looks like they are doing us a favor by running the restaurant. I won't go here again. Posted on September 27, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ went with my indonesian boyfriend, looking for a good halal place to eat. "service" is rough, but the owners small son seems to have things in hand. expensive for the quality and amount you get. bathroom outside the building down the sidewalk was kind of a drag. found it too expensive for dinner. over 20 dollars for the two of us (26 before tip, to be exact) Posted on September 11, 2004 |

★★★★★ This place is great. The boneless chicken seekh kabab with rice and tomato is just excellent. The hot tea (near the counter) is great also. The owner/cook is a real nice guy and always takes good care of us whenever we visit for lunch. Posted on July 18, 2003 |
