★☆☆☆☆ Staff states that they are not Halal, remove this from the Zabihah listing.
Has a large Buddha sitting on the counter. Posted on January 26, 2017 |

★★★★★ I ate there for lunch today. My waiter confirmed that chicken and beef were Halal. Good food, friendly service. Posted on December 30, 2015 |

★★★★★ I was able to enjoy Thai food for the first time, it's the only halal Thai restaurant I know. Their food is great, they're busy. For takeout order ahead. Posted on June 13, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! They cheated their Muslim partners out (they are a well respected family in the Muslim community here) and stole their money. I am a friend of the ex-partner's son who was cheated out of this business. The current management is a family of crooks who took advantage of their partners. Stay away from these people. ★★★★☆ Went there yesterday with my family and halal sign on the menu. Food was good and owner's son is muslim thats why they only serve halal/zabiha meat. Owner is very pleasant and consume zabiha meat herself. Would recommend this place to anybody especially if you are coming out of the San Jose airport since its very close. ★★★☆☆ I have just received news that the Muslim co-owners have left the restaurant due to corruption and maltreatment. They have claimed that the meat can no longer be promised Halal because of the current owners. ( as of today March, 9, 2012). Posted on March 9, 2012 |

★★★★★ Was there for lunch and had their red curry with chicken lunch special. Really enjoyed it. The Tom Yum soup is one of my favorites. Tom Kha (coconut milk) is also pretty good, but slightly rich. Clean place, with modern furniture and good portions. Posted on January 25, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ The food is pretty decent here. I like the portion size at the other halal thai spots through out the bay area, but the it's not bad. Nicely decorated, but a little small. I've had the pad thai, masuman curry, and a few other dishes.
I had been going to ladda thai for some time, and I no longer see the sister who was one of the owners(I believe she was malaysian ) We had come to the grand opening and I remember that she was so excited? Is she still running this shop? I was hoping to get some malaysian dishes as well, as they were intending to add some on the menu! Posted on October 26, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Went there for weekday dinner with my wife. Place was empty. The owner was not Muslim (as others have said). We ordered Tom Yum Gai, which was OK: it was more sour and lemony than spicy, did not have any lemongrass flavor (an important ingredient for any Tom Yum Thai soup).
The waittress/owner recommended a pad prikh stir fry beef dish, which was rather mediocre. It didn't taste quite "Thai", more like a Chinese take-out dish of beef with beans and peppers. I won't try this one again. The menu had a bunch of red and green curries, but we didn't get to try those. Posted on October 16, 2011 |
As-Salamu Alaykum nycali7e,
I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience dinning in. As you may know, different Thai restaurants have their own unique taste to represent Thailand. Just as any other countries' cuisine. I am sorry that the particular dish you ordered was not satisfying. Try another dish, it might capture your taste buds. I can also assure you that the owners are Muslims. One of them reverted in 2008 at the local masjid, MCA on Scott Blvd. The other is a fellow Malaysian sister local to the community. They both decided to open it together. May ALLAH (SWT) reward you.
wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh,

NR Went here for lunch on a weekday. The place was packed. Service is slow and must be improved for repeat customers. Food is excellent and halal. No alcohol served or allowed on premises. Posted on June 21, 2011 |

★★★★☆ This is my first review in Zabihah. I was extremely excited when I found out through my friends in the community that a fellow Malaysian
lady is a partner of a Thai halal restaurant, and that too, in the South Bay.
I visited the place for lunch and the place was packed. I managed to find a spot and ordered from the lunch menu. The menu is quite extensive but
I was in a hurry so I ordered a chicken red curry lunch special. The wait was a little bit long but understandable. The food finally arrived and it was very nice; comparable to the halal thai food I have eaten at a few other places. The curry was generous but the rice portion was small. The interior decoration is extremely nice and cozy. I am so happy to have a place close by to
eat, I wish the place success. Maybe they can find some help to move things faster during lunch time Posted on June 15, 2011 |

★★★★★ Although this place is a little out of the way it is worth it. I had the pineapple fried rice which was excellent, it was not greasy like at most places. Also, the red curry with pineapple was also delicious. They are generous with the steamed rice, and the over all service was very friendly and comfortable. I am definitely coming back here with more of my friends and family. Posted on June 7, 2011 |

★★★★★ I am so glad I found this place! I love Thai food and halaal options in the Bay Area are limited. This place is brand new, it's only been open for a month. My wife and I arrived at 2pm to catch the lunch special (goes until 3pm). She got the Chicken Pad Thai and I got the Chicken Yellow Curry (of course). We both got mild and it was really good not too much spice that it kills the flavor or is hard to eat. Lunch special portion sizes are good and at 7.95 it's a good deal. We shared our plates and walked out full. The young semi-shy waiter turned out to be the owner, Talib is the son of the owner's of Ladda in Redwood city. He is such a nice, humble, and honest guy. A few minutes with him and you know you're dealing with a quality Muslim. He told us how his parent's restaurant serves halaal chicken but because they also serve pork and alcohol he wouldn't call it a halaal restaurant. His establishment is classy with a subdued but contemporary ethnic feel (music was a big odd but unintrusive). It serves mainly the workforce of silicon valley so lots of business and computer people. The biggest flaw i found was that there was no sign that I could see for the restaurant and I only found it because I was looking for it. I would also recommend to Talib that if he's having trouble pulling in business he should knock a buck off the price of the lunch special. Everything else is in order (location is pleasant, but a little out of the way, can't do anything about that) and thats the best way to bring in hungry customers. It's so rare to see a well done Muslim run restaurant that I am inclined to do anything I can to make sure Talib is successful. Rest assured I will be bringing my family and friends here to increase his exposure.
P.S.> Out of curiosity I will also go to his parent's place for a meal sometime. Posted on June 4, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Halal sign outside restaurant. Owner's are known Muslims. I Went here for dinner with a friend recently and I had the yellow chicken curry. My friend had the Red Curry. We also had the fried calamari for appetizers. Everything was very good. The curries are much larger than other thai places and is enough for 2 people. My only complaint is that the rice for 1 person is a very small amount and not enough, especially for the amount of curry they give you. But they did give me more rice at no extra charge. Fast and Friendly service. I will come back again to try other items on their menu. Posted on May 17, 2011 |
