★☆☆☆☆ my flight got in late so i thought i was lucky this place was open around midnight. basically it is a club with a restaurant in it. i got some food to go, the lamb tangir...lamb was ok but the vegetables didn't taste good. bread tasted old. the server was very polite but the food wasn't good, it was expensive and yes it's a nightclub, would not waste my time again and the area is terrible at night, i was at the hilton less than half a block away which is why i took the chance. ★☆☆☆☆ Initially I wondered whether it is a real halal restaurant as it serves Alcohol and belly dancers. I entered and asked them to confirm whether they serve Halal, the said yes, and all workers were Muslims Arab. I ordered grilled chicken, and I ended up getting couscous with chicken. ★★☆☆☆ I found the restaurant by zabihah iphone program. I saw the signs outside. I didnt enter the restaurant. I dont think a bar with full alcohol serving and belly dancing meets with halal food. Posted on April 22, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ Although I was last here a few years ago, I decided to go back recently while in SF. The food did not appear to improve in taste and it seems the prices have increased significantly. The entire restaurant turns into a raunchy night club after dinner. Families beware. Posted on November 13, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ Even though Zabihah meat is served here, I would not classify this place as a halal restaurant. After I asked the waiter if their meat was Zabihah (which he confirmed), he told me they had (alcoholic) drink specials. They not only have a bar, but the place turns into a Club at night, and they have belly dancing. The service is also really bad and the food was average. The setting is decent, but the atmosphere is NOT Islamic. I would not recommend this place for families. Posted on July 27, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ I was visiting San Francisco from Seattle. I didn't know where are the halal restaurant. I just checked a yellow page under ethnic Restaurants. I found this saying Moroccan Restaurant, I called and the person I talk to said all the food is Halal. But when we went there they told us only the lamb is Halal. Anyway he gave us good deal, the food was good, the hospitality was great: they served us like we are visiting a relative. The place is nice with cushions and carpet that gives Mideastern or Arab atmosphere. If I would known that they serve alcohol and they have a belly dance, I wouldn't even get they door. The place is not suited for a Muslim family. They don't only serve alcohol they have a full bar. I wouldn't recommend any Muslim person. Posted on July 26, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ Although they serve Halal meat (the owner's can provide a Halal certificate for their meat), I would not call this place a real Muslim Restaurant. They not only have a full bar, but the place turns into a mini-club after 11pm on the weekend (they even charge a $15 cover charge to get in). I went there for a birthday party on a Saturday night and the parking situation was very bad. The service was very slow (although we had a party of 25 people) and the food was average. The Hookah was good. The interior decor of the restaurant was nice, with cushions and carpets which gives a Middle-Eastern feel. I would not recommend this place for families, since the restaurant is geared toward a Non-Muslim crowd with all the alcohol and dancing. Posted on December 11, 2006 |
