★★★★★ The ownership and cuisine has been recently changed. It is now an Afghani, Pakistani and Indian cuisine restaurant. Dishes taste like homemade food. We went there in an 8 people group and tried different dishes. We liked all dishes. It is now a very clean and classy place, and probably a little pricy. Lamb chops were the best in our first try. Chicken Karahi was also very tasty. We will try more dishes next time. We highly recommend this place. Posted on August 16, 2014 |

★★★★★ I love this place so much! My husband and I come here all the time (and we're always bringing our friends) we even had Ali Baba cater for our wedding! It is always delicious and there are so so many options. Service is great and the food is always created with care. Your food will take a few extra minutes to be served as they cook it once it's ordered, which in my mind is better than eating food that's been ready for hours already. Ali baba is amazing! ★☆☆☆☆ Went their once as I was visiting Salt Lake City. One person to serve and one taking care of kitchen. Our order was served more than one hour after we placed it and food was tasteless. Would never go their again. Posted on July 28, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ The food was not fresh. We dined in and also had some to take away. My father had a bad stomach after having the food.
Butter chicken: the curry seemed to have been prepared separately from the chicken. Chicken pieces had a smell of chicken instead of aroma and taste of spices. It felt like eating boiled chicken with ketchup.
Pros: I was greeted with Salam. Prayer area is designated. Naan tasted fine.
Would not go there again for food. Posted on June 30, 2013 |

★★★★★ Last summer we drove from San Francisco to Chicago and back, and stopped here to eat both going and coming. We were treated like family and they even recommended a clean, Pakistani owned hotel near the airport where we got a discount because of the Ali Baba hookup. Posted on September 25, 2011 |

★★★★★ Superb food quality. Excellent balti gosht, chicken handi, BBQ, etc. Naan, in particular is great. You might have to wait if you order from the menu, but it is well worth it! Highly recommended. Posted on March 15, 2011 |

★★★★★ I recently moved to SLC from NYC area so my standards are pretty high, imo. This is the best Pakistani/Indian food I've tried thus far in SLC, much better than Curry in a Hurry, imo. In addition to good food you also get good service and a pleasant, clean atmosphere. I highly recommend. Posted on November 3, 2010 |

★★★★☆ A decent and inexpensive Pakistani restaurant. Finally, a place that could actually put Curry in a Hurry out business. Posted on June 4, 2010 |
