NR The restaurant is now permanently closed. I don’t know if they relocated or totally out of business. Another lost of halal place, supposed to be getting more. Posted on October 8, 2017 |

★★★☆☆ The owner is a nice, friendly person. The chicken is flavourful but quite greasy. The poutine was alright. They need to work on pricing and quantity. They charge $1 extra for each piece of white meat and this is even in the 15 piece combo which is not cheap. They offer no gravy, nor do they mention gravy so if you are willing to pay for it, you would get it and they do not include ketchup or condiments which is a must with orders of fries. They also ran out of the burgers which customers say is their best seller. These things if corrected would make it a better value for the diner. Posted on August 26, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ It's got to be the worst service I have ever seen. I went in the other day with my family and ordered a pizza which tastes very bland. I asked for hot sauce and they told me that they don't have any sauces. I found that quite odd as they have flavoured chicken wings. I brought that up to them and they informed me that they were not allowed to give out sauce as per owners request. I told them that I was willing to pay for some sauce but they told me it was not an option. As I sat back down with my family I noticed a couple ladies asking for the same thing. He advised them that he would give the sauce to them momentarily as my family and I would see it. Very unprofessional and I would never go back. I was informed that hot sauce was too expensive and they could not give it out. If you're in the area, try the Halal restaurant across street. Great service. Posted on July 31, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Owner is a good Paki Muslim.
Food was quite delicious. Pakistani masala chicken broast.
Burgers were small but delicious.
Slight on the pricy side.
Seating place needs major improvement.
Location is good bcoz King George Park is opposite to it, u can take ur food to the park.
Recommended place to try. Posted on August 9, 2014 |

★★★★★ Actually we tried their Pizza in Mosque couple of times and it was very delicious. I took my family to the restaurant, it is a small but clean place, we tried their Zinger Burger & it was by far the best burger we every had in Canada.
We went over the weekend and they served almost 15 - 20 customers for burgers only.
Only negative thing was the sitting arrangements they should have more seating capacity. Posted on February 9, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Food isn't bad but I would stick to the pizza -- not the best pizza, and frequently it's burnt (many people I've talked to tell this to us - you have to tell them specifically not to burn it). Ask for something on the menu and many times they don't have it. Their chicken burger are not that great, and their broasted chicken is OK. Posted on January 20, 2014 |

★★★★★ I came here while I was on vacation, and was looking for a good halal restaurant that was close by and that was open late. Red rooster was a good choice. We had a pizza from here which was delicious. Also, the owner was very friendly and patient with us. I would definitely recommend it and visit again when I'm in town! Posted on July 27, 2013 |

★★★★★ We went there last week & I think it was one of the best chicken I have tried in Canada. Just reminded me the taste of Pakistan.
Chicken was fresh & wings were awesome. They have recently started making rice on weekends, worth try them.
Thanks for the review below that made us visit them from all the way to Coquitlam. Posted on May 29, 2013 |

★★★★★ aoa,
We have been to this restaurant many times & with no doubt in my mind I can tell you they make the best chicken you will ever have. My kids love their chicken, its fresh & hot.
We have tried almost everything on their menu and kind of not agree with few negative comments. We live in Surrey where there are many halal food restaurants but we prefer eating at red rooster because of the taste, quality, & service.
Owner takes personal interest in making food & customer service. He would joke with kids and make us smile. Not many muslim places where you get service like this.
I recommend this place to all Muslim brothers & sister. Posted on May 21, 2013 |

★★★★★ The fried broasted chicken melts in your mouth and tastes really good. I've tried the chicken when they first opened and I didn't like it. I've tried again recently and fell in love with it. They improved the recipe significantly. Posted on April 6, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I didn't know the owner would ask a 10 year old how to make buttermilk biscuits! But yes that happened to someone I know and that doesn't seem professional... I will not be coming back. Posted on March 21, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ For all my urdu speaking brothers and sisters this is what I have to say about this place: Halal mey chakaar tha haraam kaya. It's a joke..but this place REALLY needs to step up it's game. The food tasted like rubber...no taste...and had a weird texture. I ordered the tandoori chicken pizza and what I got in return was a pile of cheese on top of pizza bread with sprinkles of tandoori chicken..and yes SPRINKLES!! Definitely not worth my money and will not be returning. Posted on December 27, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Very friendly people. This review is more for feedback, than genuine criticism, I would love nothing more than for these people to be successful. I should preface, though I live in Vancouver, I am from Toronto, where Halal food has evolved into something great.
Areas of criticism:
1. Typical restaurant of Muslims from one generation ago in North America. If you aren't going to sell something, take it off the menu. It leave a bad impression when you want something and you don't have it.
2. Don't use bad quality meat for a chicken burger. It should be large and of exceedingly good quality. There needs to also be some sort of sauce that goes with a quality chicken burger. I would also suggest having a tomato in there, or a pickle.
3. Consider making your own buns or finding a better supplier for the buns
4. The fried chicken itself is very bland. It need some sort of seasoning or spices. I suspect that the chicken is not marinated overnight, and as such does not absorb any flavour.
5. Fries show no effort. Taste the same as grocery-bought fries.
It just takes a little bit of effort and you can change things around dramatically.
In Toronto we have Popeye's, Mary Brown, and KFC all halal. Posted on September 28, 2012 |
