★★★★★ Absolutely a must place to visit, especially if you are living within driving distance of the place. Excellent food, not pricey at all (corresponding portions though, so be aware of that beforehand), a gentleman for a host. It's a small place and the ambiance is not awe-inspiring, but there's a nice vibe to it and most importantly, the food is superb.
The falafel is probably the best in town, the chicken makloubeh is the best dish, zanzabeel, musakhan and moussaka are all awesome. The one time I tried the shawarma, it was not that great, but that may have been just that day. There are not many dishes, so you can definitely try as much as possible when you visit, especially if it's a large enough group.
I'm a repeat customer now. Posted on November 12, 2014 |

★★★★★ My husband works down the road from Sepal and is a now a regular customer especially on Fridays after Jumuah prayer.
So he decided to treat me on a Saturday as he has always been bragging about the good food they have there. The place was small but has its unique and personal ambiance to it with Middle Eastern - inspired decorations. I believed one of the paintings was drawn by the owners father.
Back to food. It has very few selections but that's what makes it special. Each dish is prepared individually (not like in massive production), thus the long wait. The chicken shawarma with falafel inside, and I could personally said it was the best! Everything was fresh and with the right amount of ingredients. However, I would say $10 for that size wrap is a bit pricey. But for the taste, I understand why my husband keeps coming back for it. Oh, and the baklava! I would say it's the best homemade baklava, even though the looks/presentation fails, the taste was just right if you dont have a super-sweet-tongue. We had ones that just come out of the oven, and it was marvelous!
On a side note, the owner is really friendly and funny. We had a nice chat with him when he came to ask about the food. This place has plenty of parking next to it.
Definitely will come back! Posted on August 23, 2015 |
