★★★★★ It was our first time coming here and we stayed 5 in a half hours :)
I got verbal assurance the food is halal. :)
There is plentiful seating- front, indoor, and a beautiful shaded patio (go all the way inside to the back).
We were a big party and the food arrived fast, fresh, and hot. The meat is tender and big portions for the price. You know a restaurant is great when even their side salads are good. The kofta and shawarma plate come with hummus, falafel, salad, pita bread, and an Arabic salad.
The fries were delicious too and the complimentary tea topped off our perfect meal.
The staff and service was awesome! Not even a question if we're going to come back... inshallah it's Definite! :)
( I made an account on yelp and my first review because it was that great!) Posted on August 3, 2018 |

★★★★★ One of my favorite places near PA. I prefer the lamb or kofta over the chicken. The masjid is right next door (the small green door between med wraps and zombierunner) so this place is ideal for pre/post Juma'a. Posted on June 29, 2015 |

★★★★☆ Good chicken shawarma wrap and hummus. Owner assured that the chicken, beef and lamb are halal. I've been going here for over 15 years. Gets jam packed during lunch. Posted on September 11, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Pretty good wraps, and they even gave me a free falafel a few times. Food is sort of expensive though (I'm a student). Nice location though. Posted on August 27, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ Nothing special. The food is pricey, not that great adn owner was not a "people person. Posted on May 17, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Food is decent, but a little too pricey given the quality and portions. Posted on October 6, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ The owner was rude and the food is expensive, cheaper and better food is available at other nearby wraps. Posted on November 23, 2008 |

★★★★★ Hello,
I have had the Beef/Lamb Shawarma and their Chicken Shawarma. I enjoy mine extra spicy and they will try their best to make sure that you get enough spice. Also, the portions of meat is very substantial.
The owners are very nice and treat me to a falafel now and then. They talk to you with respect and always greet you.
This restaurant has excellent food and service. I have even gotten my coworkers to try the food and they enjoy it. Posted on March 27, 2007 |

★★★★★ The food is always of high quality and is certainly a great value near Stanford University. The chicken and Lamb+Beef Shawarma's are always perfectly prepared along with the hummus served with it. Their tea is not to be missed. Their wide selection of deserts go great with the tea. ★★★★★ This is a great little restaurant located right in central Palo Alto. I had read its reviews here before I traveled to Palo Alto on a recent consulting trip and decided to give it a try.
Needless to say, it's worth every star rating. The food is great, the owner is great, and the staff is great as well. It's a small cafe/restaurant and makes the best shawarma and felafel.
Try the platters also, very nice. Their hummus is good too. Try the kofta kabab sandwich with grilled eggplant and feta cheese, it's a treat.
So all in all, for my 2 week trip there, this was my daily lunch trip.
Next time I'll be heading there again. Posted on December 16, 2004 |

★★★★★ This is one of the best restaurants in the Bay Area. Great food, excellent service, and quick delivery. The owner assured me that all their meats are Halal. I've been there many many times since it's near my work. I highly recommend it! Posted on December 20, 2003 |

★★★★★ This place is AWESOME. It is my new favorite restaurant. I had the beef/lamb shawarma wrap and my fiance had it without a wrap and they were both great. Posted on October 10, 2003 |

★★★★★ "Great chicken shawerma. The owner (or owners son?) was very nice and offered us hot tea. The hot tea was also excellent, but I don't think it's on the menu." Posted on May 18, 2002 |

★★★★☆ Their beef/lamb shawarma is excellent and is prepared tradionally on a vertical rotisserie. I just wish they did the same with the chicken. The shawarma is Jordanian style. Everything is zabiha halaal. I have been to this place many times. Their hummus is good. I wasn't a big fan of their baba-ghanouse. The place is extremely clean and the employees are personable. It's a family owned business. Posted on April 20, 2002 |

★★★★★ I highly recommend this restaurant. I started going there because it was halal. But now my favorite dish is their Falafel; How ironic. It is absolutely the best. I have tried falafel everywhere in the world. This is as good as it gets-just like mama makes them! The chicken is also great. I am not much of a beef lover. I have stayed away from the Beef Shawerma even though my wife tells me I have no idea what I'm missing. The guys that work there are really friendly. They will make you feel at home. ★★★★☆ Not much on atmosphere, but excellent shawerma, falafel, hummus and baba ghannoush. The shawerma in particular is very fresh and flavorful. Sit there or take out. The owner is very warm and friendly and takes the time to get to know his customers. Posted on June 5, 1999 |
