★☆☆☆☆ This place is filthy. Posted on December 14, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I am tempted to rate this restaurant very poor, but I'll be generous. Food was exceptionally bad. Everything was at least a couple of days old. Ironic, considering its a buffet style. Serves alcohol. Limited variety of deserts. Service was poor to average as well.
And you'll be paying around 15$ for food that doesn't do justice to half its price. Posted on January 14, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ The food was very bad tasteless even. Food was very watery with almost no spices or salt.
The desert was even worse
All in all not a place to eat Posted on August 15, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Not a big fan of this place. Although you can order a la carte, this place is mainly known for its all-day buffet. The items were not that tasty and was kinda stale. My in-laws know the owners pretty well. Maybe I can get them to improve the food a little bit. Posted on October 24, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ Our first time in Ottawa and we were craving some curry...so we decided to try this restaurant. The food was sub-par and the staff was snobby(except to Caucasian customers). The butter chicken was soaking in cream, the chana batura was hard, and everything else was soaking, and I mean drenching in OIL. Oh and when I went for dessert ( I wanted to get my $13's worth!) the ice cream had freezer burn and the sheer kurma was a few days old. Posted on February 14, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ The food was ok, not gr8. Bit pricey. Staff behaviour was good. If u want Chai, then ask for "Chai" and not Tea. They will bring u regular
un-flavoured tea..No good...
All in all, this place is ok if u want a change from Shoarama....Me, i will look for other options... Posted on April 28, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ On more than one visit I found the restaurant staff to be rude. The food is fairly good but not great as another reviewr has also stated. It's a nice place to sit (booth seats). Washrooms are not nice looking, so small and down a lot of stairs. Good price. A basic place to visit if you haven't been maybe. Posted on March 29, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Good choice to go to once in a while. They offer a lot of variety. Refills are slow however - quantity is sometimes an issue. usually warm - personally i dont find the presentation the most appealing but who cares if the quality is good. Tandoori chicken is A+++. They have a great selection of fruits and desserts as well as appetizer. Lots of main meals to choose from. Mind you - the bathrooms are disgustingly dirty and small (its in the basement) and ive stuck my nose into the kitchen and it looked horendeous there :S Posted on August 29, 2008 |

★★★★☆ A very good buffet-style Indian restaurant for Ottawa. Food is fairly good but not great. Fresh and warm. For Indian food in Ottawa at a reasonable price, it's hard to do much better than this place. Service is solid. Lots of choice for items to eat. Posted on July 23, 2008 |

★★★★★ The food was great! Especially teh butter chicken and the dessert!!! I even liked the vegetable dishes even though I mostly avoid vegetables dishes. Definitely going again! Not expensive either.
By the way, it's JUST buffet! Posted on February 6, 2008 |

★★★★★ have been here twice now, it is probably my favourite halal indian buffet in town. surprising because they pride themselves on having a huge variety of buffet items .. sign says 'over 100'.. sure, if you count ketchup as an ingredient at an indian buffet ;)
on the other hand, it appears that you still get very good-tasting food (that is, they don't mess up the quality despite the huge quantity) and i will return insha'Allah. Even vegetarian friends who we have eaten there with have enjoyed their meals. Posted on May 14, 2007 |

★★★★★ Their yellow page business card claims food to be halal. We have asked the staff several times on different occasions and each time they have confirmed the food to be halal. All that being said one day we saw a delivery truck from Cote Poultry delivering meat which was surprising since we thought halal meat would be bought directly from specified establishments but then we called Cote Poultry and they confirmed that they deliver halal meat if requested.
The quality of food is absolutely great. Lots of varieties and a rich dessert and ice cream table. Definitely recommended.
The staff could marginally fit in a 'friendly' category but maybe that's a cultural thing or a necessity for running a buffet :) Posted on December 24, 2006 |
