★★★★★ You get what you pay for. Ambiance, great service, incredible food!!! To be honest, I think we were the only Muslims there but the restaurant was packed. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was on point. I would highly recommend this place. Keep in mind that they do serve alcohol, and if you have questions about the ingredients of a dish, just ask. Wish I had found out about them sooner. It’s probably better to make reservations to avoid disappointment! Posted on November 8, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ Very upscale and quite pricey. Portions are large though which is not the norm for a restaurant at this price level. Although the owner is a Palestinian Muslim, I believe, the restaurant's main focus isn't Muslims, since a lot of the dishes are cooked with alcohol - negating the value of the meat being from a halal source. You do have to be careful if you are going to eat here and ask questions about the ingredients. Posted on January 18, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ When I called to make a reservation, I asked if the meat that is served is halal. I was told that everything but the chicken is halal. I thought that this was a bit odd, since halal chicken is not so hard to get. When I got to the restaurant, I had to eliminate all of the chicken/poultry dishes but a lot of the other dishes were also off limits since, not only do they serve alcohol at this restaurant, but they use it extensively in cooking. Although some of the descriptions on the menu do indicate that alcohol is used in the preparation, not all of them do and I onlyh found out because I asked. The restaurant is nice and features some interesting dishes. It is also "very elegant, cozy and stylish". However, I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a halal restaurant. I am giving this restaurant a "Poor" rating for lack of effort in try to provide halal food. Posted on August 20, 2005 |

★★★★★ This place is a very nice change from the plethora of greasy shawarma places you find on every other corner. It is a very elegant, cozy and stylish. The food is full of exotic middle eastern spices combined in a very creative way. Desserts are amazing! Definitely more pricy than most middle-eastern places but well worth it for those special occasions. Posted on October 22, 2004 |
