Mango's Café |
|
1020 Saint Laurent Blvd., Ottawa, ON K1K 3B4
Sadly this place has been closed for some years now, a new restaurant in its place. The address hosts several Middle Eastern bakeries, one or two Middle Eastern clothing boutiques, a Muslim-owned pizza franchise, etc. Added on February 25, 2004 and last updated 3 years ago

★☆☆☆☆ Don't enjoy the food or service here. Posted on December 29, 2014 |

★★★★☆ One of my favourite shawarma stops in Ottawa. I like the guy with the Arab mullet...he's very nice to customers. Posted on December 14, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I have to rate this place as above average. We walked in with a large party, and the workers helped us re arrange the tables so we can all sit together. We asked them to combine all orders so we could eat our food family style. Food was good and tasty. We had a variety of appetizers and shawarma meat with salad and pita bread. We all enjoyed it. The owners are Muslim and provided verbal assurance that all food is Halal/Zabihah. Posted on October 24, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ It's horrible service, they barely give you a lot on your plates and the quality of meat is just BAD. I hate coming here. All Mangos are now off my check list. I walked in with a few friends and they shrug you off or give attitude. They give you so little, so when you're like just put a bit more, he'll be like yeah sure. Then the food comes in and hello, poor quality. Their chicken is dry. I do admit though the good thing about here is the smoothies. I love it. The only reason I'd come back. Sometimes though the food can be good, it just rarely happens. Posted on August 24, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I like it more compared to other shawarma places in Ottawa. Food is fresh and tasty. Price is right.
However, since this is a small place dine-in during summer is torture. AC does not seem to work well.
Kitchen is right next to the dining area. Posted on July 25, 2010 |

★★★★☆ Pretty good food. This location has a large sitting space that is nice. A downtown Ottawa restaurant is better food-wise if you are looking for the best in taste however this place is much quieter which is defiantly a plus. Posted on March 31, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ I didn't like their meat stuff. I got a 9 skewer and the beef wasn't too good. However they're fruit cocktails are very good. Posted on July 9, 2007 |

★★★★☆ one of the better quality shawarma joints in a city full of shawarma joints.. they actually have 2 locations,
1) bank just north of walkley - mostly take-out operation with a handful of tables
2) st laurent just south of Donald street (north of the St Laurent Shopping Centre) - better suited for eat-ins and parties with more seating and nicer decor.
food is very good, and they work very quick. good quality and fresh-tasting ingredients and the price is fair... much less expensive than Shawarma Palace.
one of my few regular places for a quick sandwich. Posted on May 14, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I found the food here to be very good, even though it was a little overpriced.. on the other hand, Shawarma Palace (and every other Middle-Eastern restaurant that has enjoyed success) has done the same thing..
If the above reviewer calls the food 'spectacular', I don't understand how he could only give it 2 stars... that doesn't make sense to me... Posted on September 20, 2005 |

★★☆☆☆ The food is spectacular. But recently they became overconfident and increased their price tremendously. The food is not worth anymore. Go to other lebanese restaurants. Posted on June 13, 2004 |
