Not only is Persian food one of the most delicious cuisines of the world, but also the healthiest. Sumptuous dishes of melt-in-your-mouth meat, tummy-warming savoury stews, and vegetables infused with delicate herbs and flavours mark Persian food as a dining experience unlike any other. Chelo Kebab like barg, koobideh, joojeh, and sultani features juicy meat, patiently grilled on skewers to perfection. Khoresht such as ghormeh sabzi and gheimeh are stews that treat every mouthful to the hearty goodness of the freshest herbs and vegetables in a meat broth. When served on hot Basmati white rice, the combination makes it an unforgettable meal. Poultry and fish entrees as well as dishes like soups (ash-e-reshte), quiche (kookoo sabzi), herbed/vegetable rice (loobia pollo, sabzi pollo, zereshk pollo) bring the exotic Persian aromas and visual sensations to your table. Spices like saffron, cinnamon, and parsley add a delicate zest to give a delightful variety. For dessert, try the strong tea and rich pastries that cap the evening with loved ones. ★☆☆☆☆ We saw a big FLY (BUG) in my wife food when she was about to finish. We reported the issue to the waitress and we were leaving the table because it was so disgusting to see this big fly in the food. He came back to us and he said what do want to me to do for you?. He did not even apologize. I told him, I am not paying anything. He said it is not our mistake. We cannot keep the flies away from our food. Can you believe this? He was not admitting that this is the mistake of the restaurant. Actually, he was trying to force me to pay for this order because we ate most of it. He was threatening me with the police and I told him go ahead and call the police. The other waitress got involved and he told me not to pay for this order and I shall pay for the rest of the food. I accepted his offer where we had to leave as we are staying only for few days in Vancouver. Even at the beginning, the waitress was not giving us any smile as he was not happy to have us in the restaurant. He was talking and smiling with the people setting in the other tables. ★★★★★ I went there on Dec. 27, 2013 on a Friday just after Jumah at the nearby North Vancouver Masjid. This is a beautiful masjid.
There was no line up. The wait for the food was about 20mins. There's only about six parking spots in the back for customers (not enough), but there's plenty of parking on the side roads.
Got the Bhukhari platter. The meat was tender, juicy, and well done. The rice was amazing and the salad was fresh.
No alcohol served.
Halal sign obvious.
The customer service was actual good.
Things I didn't like: waitresses could cover up a little more; lower the music please; brighter lighting and wall paint also would help. Posted on December 29, 2013 |

★★★★★ Very tasty Persian/Iranian cuisine with very generous serving sizes on all dishes. Busy restaurant but fast, friendly service. All halal meat and no alcohol served :) Highly recommended. Posted on June 5, 2013 |

★★★★★ My favorite restaurant! Prices are good. Meals are consistently good! Love the rice! Long wait times on weekends, but worth it. Really busy, but that is a good sign. Waiters are running around and super busy, so if you need anything ask for it the first time!
Tried their food truck in downtown Vancouver, I thought the food was re-heated (not made freshly) and even then, was cold. Posted on December 1, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Al humdulilah, nice place, good food, moderately good service. Prices were really reasonable- great for families. It was nice to see such a busy restaurant NOT selling wine. This place is like little Tehran. It was packed (we had about a 15 minute wait). Not a place to go in hurry but a nice spot for a relaxing evening. By the way, North Vancouver has an array of Persian restaurants, cafes, and bakeries―a nice bonus for visitors. [I’m not from the area, but I was surprised that nobody joined me when I read Maghrib on the sidewalk. Perhaps there is a masjid nearby.] Posted on September 12, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Went there on a busy Sunday afternoon. Service was very good, we were seated promptly. The place is pretty nice, clean and very busy. I ordered the sultani, my wife the lamb shank. I found the kebabs pretty bland even by Persian standards ( I have eaten at yaas, daarya, daddys and many other Persian places ). My wife said her lamb was good but not the best. The rice and salad were good and the persian ice cream was outstanding. Posted on September 2, 2012 |

★★★★★ Assalamualaykum. This was our very first visit with the whole family. We drove all the way from Surrey based solely on the positive reviews on Zabihah and Urbanspoon. As some previous reviewers have warned, there was a line up when we reached and the fact that it was a Sunday too. We had to wait for about 20-25 minutes but in all honesty, we didn't mind the wait! Long line ups at a restaurant is a good sign! The ambiance was very nice and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Here's what we ordered: Started off with Humous and it came with pita triangles. My husband and myself found the Humous to be ok as we have had better, but the kids enjoyed it. My husband ordered the 'Bakhtiari' and it came with a chicken kabob and beef steak pieces with rice. He found the steak to be not as moist as the chicken jujeh, but overall he enjoyed his entree. I had the 'Vaziri', a platter of chicken jujeh kabob, ground beef kabob, salad, rice and a delicious grilled whole tomato. I had absolutely no complaints whatsoever about my entree! It was perfect for me! The meats were succulent and very moist, I loved it! The staff were polite and attentive despite being so busy. I wanted to try a dessert but unfortunately they had run out of everything as they were so busy! Will definitely recommend to friends and will go back ourselves again for sure! It was a lovely evening and well worth the drive. Visit their website

★★★★★ Great Experience. Recommended by a friend to visit the restaurant.
Although there was a line up. we were seated in a matter of minutes.
Even though the restaurant was full, the service was fast, efficient, always with a smile and exceptionally polite.
Very very reasonably priced and above all, the food was delicious, salads tasted fresh, just right and taste and tenderness of the meat was perfect. Big portions too!! Th two of us could not finish it all and had to take out the rest.
The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant was of happiness and contentment.
Lots of polite service staff always whizzing by and never short of service. If you like authentic Iranian food, you should go.
If you are not Persian/Iranian, you might want to ask the server in detail what your meal would look like as there are no "pictures" of the meals on the menu. There is a TV screen depicting what meals look like at different intervals. Did not see any alcohol being served.
In short, a great dining experience.
One of the best restaurant I have been to. You should go... Posted on April 29, 2012 |

★★★★★ Best quality Iranian food in Vancouver. Most menu items under $10. I have ordered the Chelo Kbob Soltani (a skewer of ground beef and a skewer of tenderized beef steak). The Kabob was tasteful and the steak was so tender. This is my favorite Iranian food restaurant in Vancouver now. Keep in mind the restaurant is always busy and you might have to wait for your table.
