★☆☆☆☆ Ordered Togo-food after a long time 2 years just to support our local restaurant business but very disappointed with the taste and quality.Looks like their chef has changed or on vacation. Everything was very bland no flavor .If you not eaten good Pakistani food then it’s ok but no where near to authentic taste. Posted on December 25, 2020 |

★★★☆☆ We have tried this restaurant several times already. All I can say is that it is average at best. Customer service is average, the food is okay and is expensive for the portions they give you. Their lunch buffet is also expensive compared to the rest in the area. We found very little value for our money. I'd recommend going here if you do not find anything else. Otherwise you can find much better and less expensive food elsewhere. Posted on July 15, 2017 |

I wish I could have rate zero star. What a horrible experience I have it here. The owner have zero respect for customers. I call them before coming over to make sure we gonna get a nice dine in as it was close to 8:00 pm and after arriving there we place the order and they wanted us to pay upfront. Ok no problem, I put cash money in front of the the owner who was dealing me at cashier register and with out even checking how much was it he started saying no I need complete amount in cash and I was surprised I have not asked for any discounts and even with out checking how much I am paying him why is the reacting so weird. Then he took the money and started saying all I can do is take out as he is going to close in 10 minutes and then started arguments about he cannot return my money as the order has been placed and even started saying that he will call police to kick us out. He further told us he do not need customers like us. My oh my what a mean person he is. Not only this when the guy bring our food out for take out all wrapped up in shopping bags , and on reaching our hotel rooms we were surprised to see 3 plates of rice for what he had charged us in invoice were missing and he never wanted to pick up his phone later may be he was gone already or? I have visted thousands of halal Resturents all over North America but never had come across this kind of disrespectful filthy and dishonest people doing business who have zero respect for their customers. ★★★★☆ Great food (Nihari, Goat Biryani and Kabab platter)!!
NOT Alcohol free - after we ordered we noticed at least four tables had wine bottles and when a family sat down next to us with a wine bottle, we asked to have food packed up and left. Posted on February 15, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ Bismillah ir Rahman ir Rahim I had a pleasure of speaking to Haris over the phone regarding the Zabiha(hand slaughtered) halal status of his restaurant, he informed me he buys from Nayaab aurora and Devon Seafood market. Upon inquiring from them they both said Sara's DO NOT buy from them. upon further inquiries i found out that Sara's buy their meat exclusively from Restaurant Depot - Koch Foods and IBP Beef. Koch foods if people do not know is Machine Slaughtered no tasmiya. IBP Beef does not have any halal standard. I encourage Haris to please be honest with your patrons, it is a responsibility on you to make sure you provide people with authentic source as mentioned in ILLINOIS (410 ILCS 637/) Halal Food Act.

★★☆☆☆ Pros:
Location.
Cons:
Very slow with zero customers, expensive, taste and portion doesn't justify the price.
I was promised 15 mins for rolls, which turned out to be 45 without any other customer. Taste of chicken was ok (behari anyway no one knows in this city or suburbs except by luck, so I'd let it go). I would avoid going there again, unless there is no choice. Posted on May 25, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Tried their buffet couple of times and it was good. Their A-la Carte wasn't that great. However, they are doing BYOB now, so this may not be an ideal place for strict Halal observers. Posted on March 26, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I was looking forward to trying this place as I just moved to the area. I visited on a Saturday night in November and as I walked up to the window, I noticed what appeared to be a party going on inside, with one of the buffet tables right alongside the window having several bottles of alcohol on it. One look at the "BYOB" sign in the window dissuaded me from further inquiring about the zabihah halal status of this restaurant. Posted on November 30, 2013 |

★★★★★ This restaurant is under new ownership now!!!! Went last night, food was great. We ordered platter #3 which is BBQ kabobs and zeera rice along with bread. Service was exceptional along with ambiance. Very clean, would go there again for sure. I was told they also have brunch breakfast buffet on weekends with halwa puri Chana, nihari etc!!!!!!!!! I would recommend this place to everyone. Posted on March 26, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ Great ambience, less than acceptable taste. Too pricey for the quality of food provided! Posted on August 4, 2012 |

NR We went there after a long time and tried there kabob which was a disappointment and kadai chicken.
Chicken was raw and uncooked.
I will never go there again. Posted on July 7, 2012 |

★★★★★ MashAllah a very nice zabiha halal place. I had dinner yesterday and it was very good. It was kind of spicy for me but I still very delicious.
Usually my mom does not like dinning out but she like this one. Posted on May 22, 2012 |

★★★★☆ We went for the weekend buffet as a family. It was surprisingly nice. Great seating/decor. The options were not that many, but they were sufficient. It was like a party. Pricing was ok for buffet, and the food was good. Fresh tasting for sure. It was a nice time and we left full. :) Posted on March 20, 2012 |

★★★★☆ In response to "mozahsuf"
Firing a waitress for a mistake is a little harsh! And what does race or age have anything to do with anything??
I had a wonderful experience, food was very good and reasonably priced, the service was outstanding, which I believe I may have had the same "white", "middle aged" server. We ordered the Nihari, Chicken 65 and the Somosa's...very very good!!! Also the naan is wonderful!! Defenitely will be a repeat customer.
The decor is beautiful! Posted on February 8, 2012 |

★★★★☆ This is in response to "saherimtiaz".
saherimtiaz,
Your experience with the rolls may have sucked but you use that as a basis on which to criticize the entire menu. That is called a generalization. At most you can say, in your experience, that the rolls sucked. That would be more credible. I hope your other reviews are more honest.
On the other hand, I ordered the seekh kebabs and loved them. The chicken korma was also good but seemed to get cold quicker than normal.
While the food I ordered was good, what really took away from the experience was the poor service. I had an middle aged white women as my waitress and she failed to serve us the food we ordered. We ordered 6 items and received 5 items, one of which wasn't ours! So in fact our order was missing 2 items, and when we notified her that 2 items were missing, she claimed to have no idea. That is not good service and she should have been fired on the spot for a lack of professionalism.
I think the restaurant has good potential since my family and I enjoyed the food. The next step for the restaurant is to hire a better staff, provide them with good training, and then we'll see what happens.
Oh, and there are no middle eastern dishes on the menu. Either provide middle eastern dishes or stop advertising your establishment as an Indo-Pak-Middle Eastern restaurant. Customers appreciate honesty and straight forwardness. Posted on January 28, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Had their buffet, was alright. Nothing too special or different. Tried their complementary turkish kabab plate which was ok. Hommus was way too salty. Food off the menu seemed very pricy, and we weren't sure of the quantity so went for buffet. Ambience was good. Posted on January 13, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Pros: Great location, well decorated, good service.
Cons: Quality and quantity for the price is poor. We ordered Chicken and Beef roll wraps, they were listed as their specialty on the menu. We got lettuce and tomato and couple of pieces of meat wrapped in a naan. The food was hot but there was so much lettuce that we had to fish out the meat. We didn't get a chicken roll wrap at all both brought were beef and i think the other was lamb. The meat was rubbery and I felt like I was chewing down a piece leather sofa. Rolls were $6 each and I feel that for the price they should have put more meat in there. I mean I have paid $3 or less for rolls and gotten high quality product.
I was disappointed with the food and if I do go again it will be after several months so that they have a chance to improve the quality of their food. They also had a buffet for $10 per person had about 7-8 items, but we did not try the buffet but it looked decent.
I will recommend this place for buffet (don't know the quality of the food, but has to be better than the roll wraps). Also keep an eye out for your bill because we were overcharged, which they took care of and apologized so it is not an issue.
Overall good service and the place is pleasing to the eye, very nicely decorated but food sucks. Posted on January 12, 2012 |
