★★★☆☆ The owner is Iranian and told me that everything is halal even the bread and rice haha. I am sure he is tired of being asked the same question again and again.
But, coming to the point, the food is quite on the higher side. They have a hard time understanding in English as they are a older couple managing the restaurant so patience level is quite on a lower side.
The lady said that anyone that dines in the restaurant SHOULD give the tip as it's for the service they provide... Okay! Posted on April 19, 2014 |

★★★★★ I ADORE this place!
Long story short: Everything was brilliantly cooked by the owners, who put as much love into their restaurant as their food. 5/5, will always come again.
The owners are Muslims and have confirmed it is Halal. I go there so often the owners know me and my family (The lady owner has gotten familiar with my mother as well!) They are a delightful couple , with absolute love for their food and what they do.
Our starters were the Masto Khiar, Masto Mouseer, and Eggplant dip (kushk bademjan). All three were wonderfully tasty. I must admit that my parents are used to kushk bademjan made a different way, but they like this one just as well. I recommend getting the Masto Khiar and mixing it in with your entre's rice for great tasting bites!
We had a mixture of many entres:
1) 2 Double Koobideh kabab,
2) Chicken Kabab (Breast),
3) Barg,
5) Soltani Combo (my personal favorite),
4) and Lamb Stew (QeyMey).
All were cooked to tender perfection, and the barg's in our orders as well as the QeyMey did not need the use of a knife! It was all so succulent and expertly cooked that slices just slid off the whole meat cut! Everything was to our satisfaction and more, with the pickiest of eaters in our family praising the kabab's flavor and asking for us to return tomorrow (we came back 4 days later).
After the amazing food, we wrapped it up with Persian-style brewed tea (Mom and I asked for it strong, and they did not disappoint!) and Persian-style Baklava and Persian-style Ice Cream (also known as Bastani). I will admit that I have had better Bastani elsewhere, but this one was tasty and hit the spot.
Everything was adequately priced (or might be slightly on the expensive side), but the quality of the food easily justifies the price! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who wants to know what true, beautiful Persian cuisine tastes like. 15/5, will always be a return customer. May Allah bless them and their business for many years to come!
Note: Sometimes, the restaurant closes due to a catering job. When they open for dinner, the owner might be to tired to cook, so his son takes the grill. While the kabab won't live up to the Paradise name of the establishment, it still makes for a good meal. Regardless, the son has some talent in cooking the meat correctly and should be tried. Still good! Posted on October 20, 2013 |

★★★★☆ The halal status was verified by a smiling brother. No Alcohol served... so I trusted the brother when he said everything is halal (no visible halal signs)..I took the mixed kobiedeh with chicken and beef... the beef kobeideh was juicy/fresh but lacked that regular flavour..Overall the food was nice and the chicken kobiedeh was awesome.. ★☆☆☆☆ Not a very friendly environment, sometimes very rude. They are very uncomfortable with large groups and mess with the orders. The amount of rice is much less than similar persian restaurants. They just want you to eat and leave! They even approach you and say that explicitly. Posted on October 16, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Please briefly describe your complaint: I went to Paradise Kabab House this evening and was treated in an extremely rude manner that is completely unacceptable. I went to this restaurant this evening and ordered 2 large entrees and an appetizer for dinner. In our party were 2 adults and my 3 year old daughter. The owner of this restaurant followed me out of the parking lot after our meal and said to us that he remembers us from before and last time we ate at his restaurant and that we made a mess and should not return to his restaurant in the future. I like to support local businesses but have been to this restaurant perhaps 3 times in my entire life. The last time I was in this restaurant was approximately close to 2 years ago. I find it very hard to believe that this owner remembers me and that my child is particularly messy and unlike any other 3 year child eating rice from a plate sitting in a chair at a table. This restaurant states that - "Paradise Kabab House is about experiencing Persian hospitality, great-tasting home-cooked food, in a warm and friendly setting." I am Persian and am familiar with the hospitality of this culture and this does not represent Persian hospitality at all. Also I have never been insulted and asked never to return to a restaurant because my child is messy. This restaurant should not claim to be warm and friendly as it is not. The owners are completely inhospitable and very rude. I think that the owner of the restaurant should change the motto of this restaurant and also refund my money Posted on December 31, 2011 |

★★★★★ Asalamualaykum,
Firstly I want to say to the initiator(s) of this site may Allah bless you. I am the type of person who will use a site such as this and take benefit from it but never sign up and provide feedback. I am from London but needed to use this site when I am in the US for work.
I went to this restaurant and mashaAllah the food was delightful. The lamb koobediah was the best I have ever had hence me giving this feedback. Moreover, the owners (husband and wife) were ultra polite and kind mashaAllah. They even showed me the kitchen, how they prepared and marinated the food.
The restaurant was clean as was the toilet and it certainly was great value for money. Make sure you get some tea - helped me with digesting the beautiful food.
This place is well worth a visit and when I am in Redwood for work, I will be going again to this place.
All in all this restaurant is a great place to eat. Posted on October 26, 2011 |
Thank you for the kind words! |

★★★★★ Food: Very fresh, very tasty. Owner told the secret... they make fresh food from scratch twice daily, for lunch and then for dinner. We tried Jooja chicken and Sultani beef combination.
Seating: Spacious, Clean, nice decor with light back ground music.
Service: It was not busy when we went there just before closing time. But regardless of the time, service was great. It was very nice of owners to let us sit there enjoying our food even almost 1 hour after the closing time. Posted on July 7, 2010 |

★★★★★ I visited northern Ca for 2 weeks and I was looking for a Persian place for ever. Then I decide to drive 40 min from SF to Paradise Kabab House. And my drive wasn't a waste of time or money. The staff make you feel more than welcome, the food is great. for the small plate, I think the price/ dish value is reasonable and if you need more rice they will serve you more, if you need more meat you need to order it. Again, I think this is really reasonable, and I like this way of serving( better than huge amount of food). bottom line, if you are visiting northern CA or live there you need to buy them a visit them and enjoy eating. ★★★★★ OMG! SOOO GOOD! Their food was amazing. The kababs melt in your mouth. And they showed us their halal certificate. It is owned by a very nice Iranian family. We will definately go back there even though it is 40 minutes from us. Posted on January 2, 2009 |
