★★★★☆ Ambience: 8/10. Small place but quaint. Music made it feel like a spa, lol--but its nice to see a desi owned place thats run with pride and some eloquence. Ordered the crispy chicken steak, and the Philly cheesesteak. Both were excellent. The chicken steak is a grilled breast but then fried with the coating---i wish there was a way they could bake it, but it was very tasty. Portion sizes id say were good for the cheesesteak, and fair for the chicken steak---i thought for $17 u could add more potato wedges and vegetables, but all the sides were really tasty as well. Baked Alaska for dessert, also excellent, def. try it. This place has a diverse and interesting menu, and the great part is you can tell the owners are passionate about their food. Where else will u see Baked Alaska on their menu, lol. Definitely coming back to try other dishes. I'd say this place is a must try to any halal food enthusiast 4.5/5. Posted on January 24, 2014 |

★★★★★ One word to describe this hidden gem: UNIQUE. Was recently visiting Mississauga from the states, and had heard great things from family/ friends which was affirmed by solid online reviews. Went with family, and between the six of us ordered: chicken steak (my favorite!), club sandwich, black pepper steak, chicken jalfrezi (mom loved this!), and creamy garlic pasta. Everything was delicious and fresh, and I couldn't resist taking bites out of my family's dishes. The menu is very unique from other halal restaurants in the area, and I will definitely be back on my next trip iA. On the list for next time: Philly cheese steak and Karachi bun kabob. Now to find a way to get this in the states! Posted on January 2, 2014 |

★★★★★ I went here with my mom, grandmother and cousins. I had a great experience!
We went there on Friday night and were greeted by the server right away. We were in a group of 8 people so we ordered a variety of dishes: Chicken Jalfrezi, Shashlik, Henney Penney (Chicken Penne), Montreal Steak (medium rare) and club sandwiches and Chicken wings for the table. The seating arrangement was very comfortable.
Everything was absolutely fabulous! Anyone who reads this has to try the chicken wings here! The wings are jumbo sized wings and are cooked to perfection Mmmmm. The Chicken Jalfrezi and Shashlik were really good. Each of us ordered a dish, the portions were really generous and most of us ended up trying each other's choices.
This is a great place to go with family because of the variety they offer....I came out of there full! And thinking to myself...Finally a place that has great tasting (HALAL) Italian/Steak place and at the same time great desi (and Chinese) food....Things to order here: If you are going for Dinner: Try the Steak or the Chicken Shashlik or Jalfrezi. The club sandwiches are really good and delicious choice for kids. Also the wings are must to try. Posted on October 31, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went to this restaurant based on the amazing reviews I saw here and I was extremely disappointed. I ordered about $15 worth of food based on the menu they provided and the food so far below average that I could not eat it. I rarely comment on the negativity of restaurants but I just feel that these 5/5 reviews on here are extremely misleading and puts into question who is really writing these reviews. I will never be going here again. Posted on November 16, 2014 |
hi there ,,seems like your guys got some propaganda against copper kettle ( relative/friend perhaps with ppl commented negative ) ..you are commenting in november and we have closed down since first week of September so that tells you guys are coming up with negative comments for no reason and you can't see someone is doing good in the market. takecare of yourself |

★★☆☆☆ Been to this restaurant on the basis of the many reviews posted in the one year that this place has been open. After availing of the average and bland food and less than stellar customer service, I scrutinised the reviews on zabihah and came to the conclusion that over half (15/30) were written by first time reviewers who have only one review (of this restaurant) to their credit. It is upto you to judge whether to patronize a restaurant that indulges in false and misleading advertising, fake reviews and unethical practices. Posted on September 22, 2014 |
hi there , i appreciate the comment about CK but i would like to inform you that we really worked hard to establish this business and being a muslim ( alhumdoelillah ) i hang around with MUTAQEE people who don't out and eat as they are not sure if its really hand slaughter and alhumdoelillah these families knows us well and we attend religious gathering with them so the comments you see from most of the people they appreciated the food and before they came they checked zabihah.com even thou they don't put comments but they check the website whats out there and to help us and promote our business and most importantly they love the food wrote those comments and some put comments right when they are having food at our restaurant ...all these comments alhumdoelillah are genuine and if you didn't like the food doesn't mean other people feel the same everybody has his own taste ...Because of these people and appreciating the food we are now going on a bigger scale with elegant dine in area and separate party hall and kids gaming area and inshallah it will open soon in mississauga . jazakumallah khair |

★☆☆☆☆ I set the wrong expectation when I visited their website, when I went there,
1. the place smells like traditional indian scent sticks, and I wouldn't mind it if I'm in an indian restaurant, but it is a bistro place!
2. Ordered Coke with food, and attendant did so many trips back and forth only to tell me they don't have coke!! so I took pepsi instead which is fine with me.
3. I had burger, which wasn't so special, actually nothing special about it, it was below average burger which I can even make at home!
NOT GOING BACK THERE!!! Posted on April 3, 2014 |

★★★★★ Very good restarunt I basically go there almost everyday to either get burger/fries or noodles with shrimp (spicy). My family also likes and my girlfriend really enjoyed their food. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting good halal food. Posted on March 11, 2014 |

★★★★★ My family and I discovered this cute little bistro in November and can't stop coming back! We are there every week and I usually invite friends to dinner with us all the time.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CREAMY GARLIC PASTA, THE PHILLY CHEESE STEAK, AND THE BAKED ALASKA! The food speaks for itself and it is definitely freshly made. Our last trip, we tried the wings for the first time and were just as impressed as with the rest of the menu options.
We do have to order out sometimes because their restaurant is full (UNDERSTANDABLY!) but the take-out is just as amazing.
Zabihah Halal food & at a decent price? YES, PLEASE!! SO glad that this place opened up! I am a big meat-eater and this place definitely hits the spot, Alhumdulillah!
We highly recommend it to everyone. BON APPETIT + BISMILLAH! Posted on March 7, 2014 |

★★★★★ I do not understand the recent complaint I just read, unbelievable! This is one amazing place in all aspects. Their food is incredibly delicious, amazing service, and the owner is always available to greet and make you feel comfortable. And please, avoid "wrong sayings", they DO NOT have plastic utensils. It's all proper and quite decent steel cutlery they serve all guests with. I'm a regular customer and speaking from an experience, so come on! I'm going there since it's been opened (been to CK 3 times this week actually, including today) and iA will continue going there. I introduced this restaurant to my extended family and number of close friends and they ALL loved it (everyone has something favourite that they all came back to eat that item again and tried some new ones too and will iA go back there). I simply love everything about that restaurant and will iA continue going there. Lemon Thai chicken soup, Steak Diane, Montreal Steak, Schezwan noodles (Hakka), Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, Club Sandwich, and Creamy Garlic Pasta are few of my favourites (also loved their today's special Bloody Caesar drink) and the prices are fairly reasonable. Another beautiful thing about this place is they always pray salah in time (the owner and the kids) mashAllah, and they warm heartedly welcome if you would like to join them, may Allah give them Jaza-e-khair for that, Ameen. ★★★★★ Salaams,
Had a really nice family dinner Saturday evening. We ordered a combination of Apps, Hakka Style and Steak dises and Baked Alaska for dessert. Had a great experience as usual; we have always had a good time here.
We are regular customers - dining in a 2-3 times a month and we've also done some catering and take-out orders. The food quality and selection offered are good; shucks, we just come for the food! Posted on February 16, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ We went there when it first opened as two families and ordered numerous dishes. I have no words to express the horrible experience we had. There excuse was that there chefs had not shown up on that day which is why there food was how it was. Why they had kept the restaurant open was beyond me.
When it came to taking payment, the lady behind the counter was very unprofessional and rude to the point that I honestly thought that they didn't care about their restaurant. We asked for the owner multiple times and he failed to show himself even though he had initially greeted us when we had come in and was there in the kitchen. When he finally did show up, he apologized for the behavior we had to endure and this is what had prevented me from writing this review back then. However, I did boycott this neighborhood restaurant for months.
Recently, we decided to give this restaurant another chance. Although, the service has improved, the food is still mediocre at best (for the prices paid). This is keeping in mind that we ordered different dishes altogether this time around. With Mississauga now having a few halal Italian restaurants that are at least up to par with the food quality for around the same prices, I for one will probably never be coming back to this restaurant again.
PS- The dishes are still served with plastic utensils (fork and spoon) which is mind-boggling considering that this is not a fast food restaurant. The plastic butter knife for the steak has noq been replaced by an actual steak knife though. Posted on February 15, 2014 |

★★★★★ A group of friends and I went to Copper Kettle for a late lunch recently. With such great reviews, we had to try the 'top picks' - garlic pasta, the club and Philly cheese steak sandwiches and the chicken steak. We enjoyed our meals and let the owner know we'd be back to try some more dishes.

Last Sunday evening, I brought my family here for the first time. The restaurant was busy but we were greeted and seated within a few minutes. This time we ordered a variety of steaks : Montreal steak for me; Black pepper steak for my dad; Steak Diane for my brother and the Italian steak for my mom. My sisters opted for the chicken Jalfrezzi and Chicken steak.
The portion sizes were big and reasonably priced. The flavours were amazing. The service quality was good, the owner and the server worked expeditiously, catering to everyone. We washed our meals down with sweet lassi :) While digesting and indulging the ambience, the family decided to order dessert. We enjoyed the baked Alaska; caramel custard and fried ice cream.
As the crowd settled, the owner took time to check in on every family; ensuring their satisfaction and tending to their needs. He solicited feedback on the dining experience. My family was up front with their opinions - we thoroughly enjoyed our meals; we had a good experience overall. We felt as if we were back home with the food taste and treatment we got. We honestly felt comfortable; the owner's down to earth and laid back; a genuine person; a family oriented person based on his approach. My family and I will be returning, most definitely. ★★★★★ So somebody wants an honest opinion regarding Copper Kettle .... I am a regular customer at CK. I take my family at least twice a week since my kids love their creamy garlic pasta and crispy burger. My wife loves the chicken steak and for me, the philly steak sandwich hits the spot. The food, it's quality and price points are very good - they suit my budget. We have tried many other dishes - all excellent - and you don't find these dishes anywhere else. I appreciate CK uses hand slaughtered halal poultry and meat. In terms of service, it's pretty good.
Remember, this is a small, elegant restaurant and it's hard to miss any customer requests - the exception, of course is during busy times and there will be a delay. However, we have witnessed the owner himself serving customers. He is genuinely courteous; works efficiently and professionally. Just a note for the disgruntled customer below... they do serve desserts with plastic spoons n forks. And btw, we have also seen the owner accommodate customers' needs. So the customer has the option of requesting silver cutlery. (Steaks & Rice Dishes are served with real steak knives). Also, I do agree with using plastic cutlery with kids around - for their safety. Mind you, the plastic used is sturdier than the flimsy, cheaper plastic cutlery.
So this is my honest opinion about Copper Kettle. We should appreciate that they are providing western style halal food to our community. Where else can you find food with that back-home taste? :) Posted on February 12, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Okay, first off - the owner asked me to put up a good review on zabihah for him. Can everyone please be honest about their experiences? I took my mom there for her birthday and it was awful...I feel misled by previous reviews!!
Anyways, here's an honest review, people. The service was bad, like really bad. My family got there, and it took asking 3-4 times to get some water and napkins. When the food did come, it was decent...not the best but I can't say it was bad, but again I had to ask for a fork to eat my chicken steak. This also presented some difficulty given that they only provide plastic cutlery. We asked about this and the owner said that just 2 days ago he switched to plastic because it makes too much mess when kids come and this is just a 'fast food' joint...that wasn't the impression I got based on the comments I read on zabihah about having a nice ambiance, etc. And when we ordered dessert, after the owner agreed with us that real cutlery is better, he came back and gave us plastic spoons...way to use customer feedback...
Bottom line: mediocre food, terrible service and I cannot recommend this place. For anyone who cares or has had bad experiences with Salt Posted on February 9, 2014 |

★★★★★ Went there with a couple of friends for the first time today, and surprisingly every one of us was very pleased with the food. Great place, great food and definitely recommended! I ordered the philly cheese steak and it was delicious. The french fries take me back home (Pakistan) and I really couldn't have asked for a better meal tonight. Posted on January 20, 2014 |

★★★★★ Came here with a group of friends - six of us - for lunch over the holidays. We heard about the restaurant through a colleague at work and researched the reviews on Zabiha. Lots of choices on the menu but we ordered: the Chicken burger, Lahorie Fish, Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, Hot n Sour soup (veg), Veg. Shashlik, & Hakka noodles. We were all very pleased with the the food, quality and service. Great pricing for the portions as well; can't complain there!
****
So for my mom's birthday last weekend, we catered her dinner from Copper Kettle.
Group size: 10 people.
Good variety, amazing taste and quality.. yet again. This order included: Chicken Steaks (family fav); Chicken Fried Rice - not spicy; Shrimp Fried Rice; Chicken Pakoras; Veg. Shashlik; Schezuan Chicken w/extra sauce; Veg. Spring Rolls. We shared all plates and had enough left overs for the next day :) My mom was pleasantly surprised and happy with the dinner menu choices, flavours and variety, which catered to everyone's tastes at her party. We will definitely visit/cater again... Posted on January 2, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Not sure what I am missing, but the food was terrible - both taste and quality.
It seems that they use hakka leftovers in their other dishes. Philly cheese steak had 'crispy chili beef' and jalfrezi had some other hakka chicken hybrid. Posted on January 2, 2014 |

★★★★☆ My first time eating here and I was VERY pleased. The place is small but the atmosphere is elegant. The owner is a super nice gentleman, he recommended the Karachi Burger, which was extraordinary, a must try for everyone who visits.
My personal favourite, the club sandwich, it was enormous and delicious ! Posted on December 28, 2013 |

★★★★★ Good food, reasonable prices.
Food:
Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak and a Koo Koo Sandwich. They were both generous portions and tasteful. Would recommend both.
Location:
Convenient location, cosy ambiance, gets busy during evenings.
Wish list (On the list for next time):
Club sandwich, steak. Posted on December 9, 2013 |

★★★★★ My family and I order from the Copper Kettle frequently. The food is always good here. We dine in sometimes but once we came and the place was so packed, there was a line up. We got take out instead.
I recommended the restaurant to a few friends. We dined in and enjoyed the sandwiches - chicken breast and the phillysteak. We also tried the Lahori Fish and some Veggie Hot and Sour Soup.
We liked the fresh taste the cilantro brought to the soup, along with the fresh cut mushrooms, carrots and cabbage...very spicy too. Considering the temperature drop outside and pardon the cliche, but the soup was a 'warm hug on a cold day' :)
I tried the chicken burger; very crispy on the outside, white meat on the inside with a spicy sauce that reminded me of having a Popyeye's chicken sandwich.
My friends enjoyed their steak/fish and I got take out for 2 office mates who couldn't make it to lunch: Lahori Fish and Chicken Steak. Both loved the dishes and are considering taking their workgroup to the restaurant for their Christmas lunch!
After this experience, I tried the philly cheese steak and the Lahori Fish for my own judgement. They were great tasting. I'm not a huge fan of beef but I liked the philly cheese sandwich. It's very satisfying.
I would recommend this place to anyone. #1 it's Halal and #2 If my family and friends have been here and tried several dishes...and have enjoyed them all, then yes; you should too! Posted on November 25, 2013 |

★★★★★ Asalaamailakum brothers & sisters, I have been to whistling copper kettle many times since they launch in oct, i used to go there when it was salt n pepper ( same location ) for hakka chinese food with my family or even for takeouts , i know the owner very well i know he's doing very good job providing a fresh made halal food to customers. When i'm ther i always Crispy Chicken Steak which is believe me really very tasty, my wife always order philly steak sandwich or club sandwich but you gotta have it these dishes when u r there for Dine in not for takeout as they get cold and loose some taste ,it has to be hot n fresh especially when its cold outside, even when you are there you see owner going on each table and asking for feedback and you can hear people are talking highly about the food, taste and freshness of the food. We have tried their other dishes as well and they are pretty good , good to see this kind of hand slaughtered halal food in town , highly recommended to all brothers & sisters ..jazakumullah kharien Posted on November 24, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ I would like to check this place out. Their advertising and food menu looks promising. Posted on November 23, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ My wife found out about this restaurant from the "Halal Food Enthusiasts" blog so we decided to give it a try. We ordered for a take-out.
Overall result: highly disappointed and unimpressed with the quality of the food. Not coming back.
We ordered the Henny Penny, Chicken Steak, Chicken pakoras and the philly cheese steak. The only saving grace was the philly cheese steak. The chicken dishes were ghastly - there was so much fat in the chicken. We had to spit out quite a bit and it just took away from the experience. I wish they used more chicken breast in these dishes considering the prices.
They have to do a better job at packaging take out food as well. The Henny Penny was leaking all over the place. The cheese on the philly cheese steak was sticking to the wrapper - it would have been better in a box instead of a paper wrap.
Also, the spices and the taste were nothing extra ordinary and that was bound to happen considering the menu does not have one theme; rather it is a hodge podge of various ethnic dishes that the chef/cook is unable to do justice with. Posted on November 23, 2013 |

★★★★★ What a refreshing new addition to our community! I've been to the Whistling Copper Kettle Bistro many times since opening day. I've tried their steaks mainly - Black Pepper steak and the chicken steak are my favourites. I've also tried their club sandwich for lunch: awesome in a word. For dessert, the Baked Alaska hit the spot.
The Henny Penny, Garlic pasta and Chicken Sashlik Royal sound like favourites which I will be trying on my next visit.
I like this restaurant; it's small, cozy and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and service is good; can't complain. I'm definitely impressed with the selection and quality of food. Given my moderate budget, pricing is reasonable for the large portion sizes. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Posted on November 3, 2013 |

★★★★★ My family and I have been catering, primarily, Hakka Chinese dishes - especially Chilli/Manchu chicken; chicken/fish pakoras; hot n sour soup; chicken sizzler and fried rice. We love the freshness and variety of dishes offered here. Food quality and service were good in general; although we waited on our orders sometimes. Disappointing, but we didn't mind, quite honestly. We took that as a good sign. When a restaurant's busy, you know the food's awesome and in demand :) The work around? Order early and no waiting... Even when I took some friends for dinner, we stayed over two hours in the restaurant trying various dishes; eating and indulging the atmosphere. We were comfortable and had a good time. We were amazed management didn't mind our loudness and didn't try to usher us out by placing a bill on our table. One of the reasons we liked dining here.
So with the new menu at Whistling Copper Kettle Bistro, we couldn't wait to try new dishes. Though the Hakka Chinese dishes were still available; we were blown away with the new flavours and healthier options.
Thus far, we've tried the Henny Penny - what a cute name! The garlic flavoured rice was a hit and we liked the chicken and sauce that comes with it. We also tried the chicken steak served with veggies; my personal favourite. I liked having a healthier option for lunch/dinner. My only issue is the portion size was too big for me - two people can share this plate - but I managed to eat it all and I enjoyed every last bite.
Another dish a few family members tried was the beef burger - very moist and juicy. It was a large, fresh burger with real beef. Not like the 50% beef and 50% non meat ingredients from other places. This comes with fries which also tasted yummy.
Never tasted a garlic pasta like this before either. Very tasty when served hot and doesn't lose flavour the day after. I liked the chicken pieces included in this plate. The portion size is generous; more than one person can share this plate.
Overall, the pricing is quite reasonable for these dishes, relative to the generous portion sizes. My family and I are very happy with the menu and service at Copper Kettle. I've visited the restaurant multiple times and tried various dishes...enough to write this review, which I hope is helpful to anyone who's contemplating trying the food here.
I would highly recommend the dishes; they are prepared fresh and are flavourful. I definitely will try the steaks and more pasta dishes.
Btw...the atmosphere is warm and inviting; staff is friendly and welcoming. I like that they ask for customer feedback - it shows interest in the customer dining experience and management's interest in continuous improvement.
Definitely a Bistro setting... Small and cozy with good food. But why take my word for it? Go try yourselves... Try once and I bet you'll love it too. Bon Apetit!♨️ Posted on November 2, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ Had high expectations for this restaurant as per the first review, and went in with really high hopes that this would be a good steak restaurant, only to be very much disappointed.
When we first entered the hostess didn't even greet us, she just stared at us for a good minute while we looked around and then she came and said we could sit anywhere we would like. The place is small, and the seating is very crowded, can make you feel very claustrophobic.
The menu, isn't consistent with what it's offering to the customer. On one side there's Hakka Chinese food and the other side there's Italian food and then there is desi food such as biryani and bun kabab. Just wish that there was a general theme for the food.
There is a good variety of steak options, that much can be admitted and they have a good variety of pasta dishes as well. Both husband and I ordered steaks, him the Montreal steak and I the Italian one. We both ordered them medium well with a side of fries as per the menu. But when the food arrived we had mashed potatoes instead on our plate. We probed further with the owner and he said that more people wanted mash potatoes so they implemented that instead. If that was the case we should have been told otherwise from the beginning, as I was really looking forward to fries.
Nonetheless the mashed potatoes were good as was the flavour of the steak. The problems were that first, the size of the steak was so small! If I'm paying $17 for a steak, it should be a bigger piece, rather than the amount that was given. The amount of vegetables and potatoes were sparse. Also I asked for a medium well done steak but when I was eating it, it looked more like a medium rare/medium done steak. Fair to say I was disappointed and we left feeling hungry.
Fortunately there was a really good bakery in the same plaza, so were able to grab some dessert to fill us up.
Even though we were disappointed we will still try and give this restaurant a shot in the future. It's new and maybe just needs some criticism to change. Posted on October 29, 2013 |
