★★★☆☆ decided to check this place out after reading so many positive 4 and 5 star reviews and comparisons to another fried chicken restaurant chain (which i enjoy from time to time). what a disappointment! the cleanliness of the place was sub-par (drink and ketchup spills on the counter, but the tables and chairs were pretty clean). then there was a manager walking around in jeans and a hoody (which wasn't a huge deal for me, but still looked awkward and unprofessional). and most importantly the food did not agree with me at all. i ordered the fish sandwich combo which came with a huge cup for fountain drinks (sugar overload), fries (which were actually pretty decent, seasoned nicely not too salty, and reasonable portion size), and the fish sandwich itself which comes slathered and dripping with this strong tasting aioli sauce which overpowered the sandwich so much that i couldnt even taste the fish! it turned my stomach. if there wasn't so much it wouldn't be so bad and would actually taste pretty nice i think. sandwich also comes with a little lettuce and tomato in between two soft buns. fish was breaded (as can be expected) and in a square shape (makes it look processed). prices were also very reasonable. maybe their chicken is chicken is better idk Posted on November 8, 2015 |

★★★★★ Just like Popeye's and in fact better! Love their chicken sandwiches and chicken tenders especially. We are regular customers and the food is consistently good. Their daily specials are a very good deal too! Posted on June 11, 2014 |

★★★★★ WOW! Its like 99% just like Popeye's! Since Popeye's went downhill, we've been scouring the city for that perfect chicken sandwich. Guess what, QuikChik has it! Prices are pretty much around the same and the flavour of the chicken sandwiches are almost exact! The fries are great, and the kids had chicken tender pieces and ate it all up! Very clean place and the service was pretty good. Only drawback is that because the place is very open concept it gets very cold in the winter as people are going in and out. Also, some of the booths' tables do not fit properly in those spaces allotted so you gotta reach a little bit more. But the taste of the food and quality very comparable to Popeye's really takes this place to the next level. Highly recommend. Posted on January 13, 2014 |

★★★★☆ I've been to this place a couple of times after reading about it in a halal food magazine. It offers hand slaughtered fried chicken items similar to Popeyes (e.g. nuggets, chicken burgers, chicken pieces, etc).
The 1st time I went my kids & I tried the nuggets, fries and onion rings and all were good. The nuggets were nice and juicy and the fries were similar to Popeyes. The 2nd time we had some chicken burgers and they were pretty big (I think bigger than Popeyes). The bun they come in is a nice big bun and compliments the chicken pretty well.
Check their site for daily deals. They told me on my 2nd trip yesterday that they'll be opening a location soon in Brampton at Queen & Chinguacousy. Posted on January 2, 2014 |
