★★★★☆ Salaam. At CdK, you have to know what to order. There are only 3 really great dishes here--the Bihari Kebob, the tandoori chicken, and the peshawari Kebob. These 3 dishes are really excellent. I would recommend having the fried paratha with the behari Kebob for the full experience. Everything else on the menu is mediocre. As another reviewer mentioned, the Butter Chicken is appalling. It is an overpriced joint for sure, but still worth the visit for those 3 dishes, and at least the first 2, cause the behari Kebob and tandoori chicken are the best in the GTA for sure. For those dishes alone I've given it 4 stars, otherwise I would've given it 2 or 3. Trust me on this one people. Posted on December 19, 2015 |

I ordered food from the millcreek location as the heartland location is closed. I must say I was very disappointed with the quality of food. I cook 10x better than what they serve there. I had ordered chicken seekh kabobs, Chana masala, and chicken karahi boneless. The seekh Kabab had a funny smell to it as if it has been sitting in the fridge for 2 weeks. It smelled rotten, so we didn't eat those. For Chana masala, a vegetarian dish, they charge $8.99 and use canned Chana and it was so watery just to make the qty more they added water. Doesn't matter if it taste like Chana masala or taste like Chana in water. Karahi boneless chicken, small chunks of chicken pieces. They were smaller than boneless pieces I give my toddler to eat. Yet, they charge over 12$ for this again watery dish. If the owner reading this review have any decency to improve the quality of food then please step up. Don't be a cheap person and keep on increasing prices and using stale and lower quality ingredients. And for those reading this review, please don't waste your money and pick another resturant. Just so you know, this was not my first time eating Cafe de khan. There is always something up with their karahi but I never complain, but today after having those rotten kababs I had enough. Congratulations to the team, you lost a regular customer. WAKE UP!!!!! Posted on May 6, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ this place is very stingy in their portions. the kabob's and naan were good but again extremely expensive. their wait time is very high. it was a simple order for 2 people and we waited over 45 minutes. 1 waiter running back and forth serving 4 tables. extremly poor management. for the price you pay the food you receive is a devastating joke... thankfully that was the 1st and last time i will ever go there. ★☆☆☆☆ We ordered take out the other day from the Brittannia location in heartland town center. The butter chicken did not taste like it normally does and I don't even know how to describe it because it was that bad. Next, I usually like their biryani but this time it had a long black hair in the rice.... It was so gross. You think that an expensive restaurant like this one could afford to buy some hair nets for the staff/cooks. Anyways, we returned the biryani and they did give us a refund but that's not the point. The quality of this restaurant is definitely going down. Posted on June 30, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went to this place today with my family. We ordered Matka Gosht and Bihari Kabab. The girl taking the order told us that the quantity of Matka Gosht will not be enough for us (2 adults and 3 children) and she said we should order another dish. So we ordered Peshawari Kabab as well as per her recommendation. When the food was served, I found the quantity of Gosht was enough so I felt cheated that she sold us an extra dish for no reason. Secondly, this was nowhere a Matka Gosht... this was more like Tamatar Gosht with no taste at all. I have lived in Lahore for many years and I know what Matka Gosht looks and tastes like. Peshawari Kabab was aweful with no taste at all. Bihari Kabab was just average. The size of Naan was really small and that was nowhere a Naan. We were extremely disappointed with the taste. Also, I found this very over-priced. I won't mind paying the extra price if the taste is good, but this wasn't worth the price at all. We are never going to return. Please do yourself a favor and go to some other place if you are in a mood to dine out with your family and friends. Posted on March 22, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Yesterday (Feb 3, 2014) I took my wife for a good lunch. Well that was a disaster. The worst Handi I have ever had in my life and believe it or not I paid 13.50 for it. I even took it home so I can treat it to make it edible, didn't work. Bihari boti was way overpriced for its worth, I would be happy to pay 5.99 for it.
There is no lower ranking than poor otherwise I would have given that. Posted on February 4, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ We just went there this past Boxing Day. The food is good, but the portions are ridiculously small!
We went as a party of 2 with our 6 year old daughter. We had to order 4 main dishes for our dinner because that's how small the servings were.
We got :
Bihari kabab: really good and this was the only dish worth $12.50
Chicken seekh kabab : 3 kabab for 9.99 ...they're not big just skinny
Quarter leg tikka : this came with a small salad and sauce and one paratha .
Lamb karhai: total fail. Small serving and was not karhai...it was tamatar gosht....tasted more like a stew. $12
We had to order extra naans that were $1.25 and the size of the naans were laughable...they're the siZe of the small pita
So overall, the cafe de khan you have got the food and flavours down but for the prices you are charging you can't be this skimpy on serving sizes. I could feed many more in 65$ that I spent in one night out. Good food but very very disappointing serving sizes Posted on December 29, 2013 |

★★★★★ Food is very tasty, service times quite fast, and clean bathrooms. Portion size is the only thing I have a beef about (pun intended). Still will give it 5 stars for the quality of the food which is excellent. Posted on October 14, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Their parathas are to die for! Bihari kababs, chicken Tikkas are the best. overall good BBQ stuff. Posted on September 7, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Very overrated restaurant. Portion size are ridiculously meager for the price, nor is the atmosphere at the restaurant any premium. No Naan's with dine in on Dinner specials is quite a money grabber too. On the flip side, food quality is there but not necessarily the taste. Posted on September 6, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Best bhihari kebab! Worst service! If you like tasty, meat-falling off the bones, tender BBq meat and delicious, greasy but oh-so-yummy parathas but don't mind being ignored then this is the place for you! Small portion sizes, overpriced food and terrible service are the norm here. However the BBQ meat was delicious (biryani, chana and NAAN were nothing to write home about). We came as a party for Iftar and were shocked at home bad the service was. I think I would drive back for a kebab roll to go but would NOT come back for a dine -in experience. ★★★★★ Their bihari kabab paratha roll is our favourite! It's totally worth trying! Posted on April 20, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ Average over priced restaurant. Would leave this to a last resort if nothing else available. Posted on December 31, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ I dont know why people love this place so much because once we got bihari kababs that were undercooked! Posted on December 2, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Food was less than average. Portion sizes definitely not worth the price. $12 for a 2 pcs of 3 inch seekh kabab - I don't think so.
What's worse is, the biryani tasted like butter chicken was beneath it, and rice just sprinkled on top with some garnish - that's not how biryani should be made.
It felt like a supermarket or even a fish market to say the least.
Drove all the way from one end of the city to this restaurant, due to the hype, however, definitely not worth it! Posted on October 25, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Pathetic food. They don't know how to cook. Please don't try this with family or other guest. If you want to try anyway and want to waste money then go alone. Good luck. Posted on June 20, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Very average place. I went to the restaurant with high expectations knowing that this was opened by the same poeple who owned and ran Cafe de Khan in Karachi but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations.
The place was cramped, the food was average and very pricy. Not a good value for money. If you want good Pakistani BBQ food, there are better choices available in GTA. I would not go back to this place again and will not recommend it to others... Posted on June 3, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I'm ashamed to be a Khan on this day. So what was planned to be a great outing for a friends birthday turned out to be disastrous night. Our friend made reservations for Saturday at 9 pm and so we arrived at 8:45 (non desi time of course). Upon our arrival we find ourselves in a packed restaurant but relatively calm since we knew we had reservations. As 9 pm approached, we requested to be seated only to be shocked by the owner telling us we had no reservation. Long story short only make reservations on the day you decide to go since reserving a day or two in advance seems to fluster the staff and cause confusion for our simple folk at cafe de khan. It only got better from that point on as we had to wait an extra 25 mins to be seated, charged full price with no discount after the reservation foul up and having hunger pains after we had our meal that ran us about $200. Did I also mention they only provided 1 spoon for us to use between 4 dishes? I've seen better service at a buffet in china town. And people talk about quality over quantity but let's be real, you can find better quality in Shan Masala packets than this place. So overall save your wallet and your stomach from this place, two thumbs down. Posted on April 15, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Went to eat on Saturday evening, the place was busy and service good. The food is excellent, chicken tikka was outstanding with nan. Be prepared to pay $25+ per person and you will not be disappointed. Posted on February 25, 2012 |

★★★★★ The food was awesome, Bihari kabab were amazing out of this world the only bad thing about that place is the service they provide but i was ok with after eating their food.
I would advice people to go there and try their Bihari kabab with their parathas Posted on February 16, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went their with my family at 2:30 pm on a Sunday. More than half of the restaurant was empty. We ordered our food and then started waiting. Exactly after 50 minutes our waiter came and apologized for the delay due to 5 people being sick and them being short-staffed. Furthermore, he also said that he does not know how long it take before we get served. I told him that I will give him 10 more minutes. If the food is not here by then we will leave. The waiter brought the food within 10 minutes.
When the time for paying the bill came, I was surprised that they charged the whole amount and did not even give a discount (which is usually the case if a restaurant messes up your order).
The food was great as usual. But, I am not going there again. Extremely horrible service. They should have told me about the delay when they took our order. This kind of serive is unacceptable. A couple sitting next to our table gave up and left after about waiting for 40 minutes. We should have done the same. Posted on February 13, 2012 |

★★★★☆ We have been there couple of times and every time the food got better and better, i think the hard work of owners shows in the service and quality of food. The only problem is the seating now.highly recommended Posted on August 22, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I had dinner there last night, food is generally very good. The right kind of spices which i would expect from a desi restaurant but the portions of Kababs are very small compared to what they charged for it.In the same price I may get a full meal in other restaurants.
Definitely recomended but don't order kababs or you'll be disappointed. Posted on August 8, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Two words that are suited just for this restaurant : “SMALL QUANTITY”
I went here with family, and at the end of the meal, neither of us got full. Certainly after spending close to 15+ dollars person, one can at the least expect not too remain hungry. In this place we wondered if we had been ripped off with such a large bill and food quantity that was enough for toddlers. And trust me; all of us have very normal appetites.
I even complained to the staff there, his reply was that they focus on quality, and not quantity. Fair enough, but at least match the food price to the quantity.
In terms of fairness, there chicken tikka and parata was one of the best I have had in Toronto. Their spices on the tikka was just perfect. The kababs I found a little too dry. Posted on June 20, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Went there today for the second time after a few friends insisted. Food was fine but quantity is very limited, we asked for 3 dishes of the same item and they combined it into two but the servings did not look like 3 orders.
The person serving the food dripped lasi over my pants and didnt even bother apologizing, not satisfied with the service Posted on April 28, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Their service is excellent really friendly people food is good too but kind of on the expensive side compared to the quantity they give. However, their parathas are the best in town! Posted on February 6, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Kabobs: Among the better kabobs found in the GTA.
Naan: They make some of the better Naan, I've found in the GTA.
My only complaint is that they typically open after lunch. Posted on October 31, 2010 |

★★★★★ This is undoubtedly the best Pakistani restaurant I've been to in North America. I haven't had a better bihari boti then here. Chicken karahi was excellent. seekh kabab and chicken tikka were all great. This place beats all GTA pakistani restaurants. Highly recommended, specially for people like us who are visiting from outside and need a good place to eat. Posted on July 26, 2010 |

|
★★★☆☆ Food quality was very good however, no daisy taste at all. We ordered 4 items and seems like all are same with different premaid currys. Also food quantity in not worth the price. Posted on July 26, 2010 |

★★★★★ seekh kabab with paratha was excellent (a little oily) but very tasty. The decor was nice and the staff was very courteous as well. Posted on February 19, 2010 |

★★★★★ I have to this resturant.
I recomend this resturant to all Pakistanis --- as In Canada this is the first resturant where I had real taste of Pakistani Chicken Tikka.
All BAR-B-Q stuff is great --- We even tried Chna Masala --- Chana Masala was great as well.
Only thing that I recomend not to order is Biryani. ---- Well in GTA you will not find any place that makes good Biryani --- I must say that there is no place in GTA that makes Biryani.
Must Go Place though bit Expensive. Posted on January 20, 2010 |

★★★★★ A friend recommended this restaurant while we were visiting from NJ. We went with a group of 8 people. Ordered eight items ranging from BBQ to curried items. Every item was simply excellent. The service was very efficient as well. Posted on November 30, 2009 |

|
★★★☆☆ Seekh kabaab were tasteless, chicken shashlik with rise tasted too sweet and the naans where to dry and hard for my taste...however the amboence was good.
Most likely will not return if there are other options. Posted on October 12, 2008 |
