★★★★★ I am always looking to experience different type’s food and in turn other people’s cultures. About a month ago I stumbled on Zahra with my wife and we decided to give it a try. First let me say that the staff was very nice and offered to describe the different foods on the menu. The owner and his wife were there and were very welcoming as well. After little deliberation my wife and I just ordered four dishes some Nan and an appetizer figuring we could sample more that way. Well let me tell you it was awesome! It was also clearly prepared fresh so the little wait is well worth it. It is not fast food people! We finished it with a homemade rice pudding type dessert that was to die for. The only bad part was the 4 weeks it took me to get back for another meal! If you are tired of the cookie cutter restaurant experience this place is well worth it. I am writing this review after my second awesome experience here. I hear that in late August the owner is adding gourmet Gyros at lunch it, just when I thought it could not get any better! During both visits I had Lamb Kebab Boneless, Chicken Tikka Boneless, Curry Chicken, Chicken Sheekh Kebabs, Vegetable Takoa, Nan, two drinks and one dessert and the bill was under 50.00! Two people can eat great food here for much less keeping in mind that I had 3 boxes to take home! Posted on July 28, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Had the bihari kabab platter at the recommendation of a friend. Large portion, good amount of meat, does not taste like typical bihari kabab so it's definitely their version of it - i think they added some bbq sauce to it. Their green sauce was good but only gave a little. Overall I liked the item I chose, very nice owner. It was a little greasy though. Food catered from here is often inconsistent though from my experience. Posted on October 24, 2017 |

★★☆☆☆ Went to this restaurant today with my 3 kids at lunch. My husband went here last year when he visited (we are visitors). I believe the guy (owner) runs it with his wife and mom. The little girl Zahraa (daughter and adorable little girl) was there as well. I ordered a potato samosa, seekh kebob, and a chicken curry with a side order of naan.
The naan was good but that's about it. You see the curry was seekh kabob cut into little pieces and added to tomato base. What really ticked me off was that when ordering, the owner had recommended the curry since it was "freshly made". However, he did not tell me that the curry was made from the pieces of seekh kabob I was ordering as well. All of it tasted the same, and I don't now of many pakistani curries made with shish kebob looking meat? That is very improper and not honest at all, just because I'm not a complainer the least you could do is apologize for this mistake and take the money off of my bill. The people running the business are nice but I would expect more....... Posted on November 5, 2014 |

★★★★★ I recently moved to Harrisburg from VA and heard about this restaurant from a friend. Friday night I had some relatives over and decided to give this place a try since I havn't been here. We were very pleased with food and service. We ordered appetizers Chicken and Alu Samosa and Hummos. Again, It was Friday night and they only had two waitress working. I observed one girl staying outside mostly and taking orders while other person was coming out to help her time to time. It seemed as they do more take out biz than dine in.
I noticed while sitting there almost four different customers came in for take out.
Our food arrived within 25 minutes or so. We ordered chicken seekh kabab platter, Grilled Chicken Platter, Chicken Kofta, and chicken Tikka Masala. I like their curry dishes menu as it comes with rice and Naan. Been so many other places, they dont offer that. The waitress did check on us at least three times and my family members were very impressed with food presentation and taste. Portions were plenty and well prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant. If you havn't tried this place, you are missing whole a lot. The waitress told me about their buffet which they offer only three days a week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am looking forward for trying out their buffet on the weekend:) Posted on February 10, 2014 |

★★★★★ We called from the road 10 min before closing time. The owner very generously agreed to stay open so we could pick up food to eat for Iftar. We arrived near 10 pm (kitchen officially closed at 930). The restaurant was closed and everyone had gone home but the owner waited to give us our food. He greeted us with a smile and kind words before we headed out. The food was good and there was plenty of it. We had chicken curry with rice. 10$ platter was plenty for 2 of us. ★★☆☆☆ Below average taste. I was driving from Cleveland to NYC and checked zabihah.com. Read a good review about this restaurant, mentioning chicken karahi n thats wat I ordered, but I was disappointed. The taste was just OK, I wud never order that again. Naans were v good n fresh, probably the only good thing! I hav to say that its expensive, 25$ for boneless karahi is way too much. I wud never go there again. Posted on May 26, 2013 |

★★★★★ While visiting Hershey Park I was very pleased to find Halal Pakistani and Middle Eastern Restaurant. We checked the menu online and placed our order in advance, by the time we got there our order was ready. The gentleman who answered the phone also recommended different dishes from menu. We tried their weekend special Chicken Kofta it was amazing. The menu is very diversified, kids loved it too. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We had very positive experience, staff was also friendly... Looking forward for next visit to try this place again. Keep up the good work!!!! Posted on May 7, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Came to this place with my uncle. It was very nice to sit there and eat. We came hungry and had the buffet. There were many good choices and chicken and meat dishes. Price was reasonable. The owners were there and they were nice. At lunch time the place was busy with Indians and Somali guys which is a good sign the food is consistently good. Would come back. Posted on April 17, 2013 |

★★★★★ Visiting Zahra is always a pleasant experience. I have been there now with my family and friends quite a few times. I highly recommend their House Specialty Chicken Karahi and Seekh Kababs, and their Naan is the best . It’s nice to have options, because my wife can’t eat too much spice, for her I order Chicken Falafel Wrap on fresh Naan or Lamb Wrap. It’s huge almost two people can eat it easily. Looking at some of previous reviews I am very surprised, their prices are more than reasonable and portions are also big. Last time when I went there, the lady behind the counter was telling one of the customer now they have combo deal, which I liked too. Looking at the menu we ordered Palak Paneer which comes with Naan and Rice for $9.44 and Chicken Dish 10.38!!! I honestly think being Halal Restaurant prices are better than any other restaurant in this area. I am always very impressed by restaurant being so clean, especially the restrooms. Zahra is not very decorative but honestly when food is good and prices are reasonable, I am sold!!! Posted on November 14, 2012 |

★★★★★ I am visiting from Canada and Zahra is the best thing happend to me while visiting. One of co-worker from Toronto told me about this place while ago, so far the dishes I had tried, absultutely amazing.. Surprize to see negative review, cause I had chance to talk to owner, he seems very friendly and staff is also very good. Also, I must mention the cleaningness of this restaurnt, for Pakistani and Middle Eastern place always very clean, especially the bathroom. I stayed in PA over month and ate at this establishment almost 5 times a week. Looking forward for next assignment so I can make more stops at this place. Posted on November 13, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place is a shame ... We went a number of times .... Food is very disappointing ... Karahi was like chicken curry... They made Bihari from those ready made shawarma strips ..... But worst of all was the service ... The waiter was extremely disrespectful ... This place might work for people who don't know how Pakistani food is supposed to taste like ... ★★★★★ We took both Pakistani and Also Chicken Cheese steak. Chicken Cheese Steak was the best I have ever eaten anywhere. I was travelling back to Pittsburgh and stopped over. I will defenitely stop again here and also recommend to others. Pakistani food was also excellent. We took Kabab and Biryani. They also have Buffet and food was fresh.
