★★★★☆ I gotta say I enjoyed the food here Posted on December 20, 2009 |

NR serves alcohol
I have not visited this restaurant so I will not comment about the food or service. However, I called the restaurant after seeing on this site that they are alcohol free to book for iftar. I asked if they are halal and the man answered 'yes', but when I asked if they served alcohol he said 'yes, we do'.
I am quiet disappointed as I was looking for a nice halal restaurant for iftar. Posted on September 13, 2009 |

NR Hi nadeem I am the person who settled the bill, with reference to your claim that we could not afford it is absurd you should try to stick to the facts .The fact was that we booked a table for 14 at 8.30 when we arrived you had doulbled booked us and tried to get us to sit on two tables, which was hardly convient as it wasa birhday celebration for my 5 year old we wanted to be seated together, at this point we contemplating on leaving and you offered to make a table of 14 up which eventuallly was ready at 9.30 and we said that was too late , you offered 50% discount if we stayed and we agreed , we got served our starters at 10pm we got our main meal served at 11pm I came to pay the bill and you tried to charge the full amount you offered which you forgot by the end of the evening claiming that the discount was for seating on two tables , you give a discount at the end ,but it was not what you had said .I was not going to argue with you i just paid the bill . but clearly you did not keep to your word....ash Posted on February 13, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ It is quite clear that NADEEM the manager is completely clueless in running a business and a restaurant. The basic facts are following : FACT we arrived on time. FACT we waited for over 2 hours… FACT we were offered 50% discount ( 12 people witnessed this )… FACT the food took ages to serve. FACT starter food was cold…FACT the food is nothing short of average…….FACT NADEEM is not able to comprehend basic MATHS or ENGLISH skills. The clear point here is that NADEEM begged us to stay, as once we had found out that NADEEM had doubled booked our table we were going to go to Haandi Restaurant (opposite)…. But NADEEM begged us and said that he would offer us a 50 % discount. We had arrived at the restaurant at 8.22 and did not leave until gone midnight..... NADEEM clearly does not understand that kids cannot stay up this late and be served such awful food. I would never return to this awful place, and so he does not need to worry about people paying or not. If you look at the other sites, everyone has complained of the same thing. All of us cannot be wrong. People will vote with their feet, and providing such awful service, will only result in less customers for Shezan. Posted on February 12, 2009 |

NR this is for the attention of the 4 posts below: vwzee, scully, kira and delight, it is very obvious you are the same person, vwzee and scully have the same postcode! coincidence? i think not!!!! i bet you any money they come from the same IP address too.
The guest was not happy because although the food arrived on time, etc, etc.... they had ordered too much and could not afford the bill. Before the bill had been presented, they were very happy, cracking jokes with staff, having a good laugh, but when they asked for the bill, there jaws dropped. They begged us to give them a discount so out of generosity, we gave them 25% off. They paid, and at the time looked full of embarassment. They later contacted us again to ask for a further discount but obviously, we were unable to do so. We have recieved an email saying how he will give us bad reviews on the web, (just because he didnt get another discount)...good luck brother...if you cant afford our food, dont order it! all the prices were on the menu but obviously you were too busy stuffing yourself with our good food you forgot all about the payment side of things!!! please do come again. we would be glad to have you again, but this time we would want money for the food upfront! ;)

★☆☆☆☆ I went to Shezan last nite was throughly dissapointed at the service I recieved. I asked for ketchup for my niece and recieved it almost 1hour later. The starters were dead cold and this is meant to be fine dining I thought. The manger was not appologetic at all. The reservation was made for 8.30pm we were seated at 10pm and our main meal arrived at 11pm, by that time the kids had lost their appetite and didnt eat much. I don't understand why there was no table available for us, even though we had a reservation.
The cutlery is also pretty bog standard and the plate that was given to me for my main meal had dried rice stuck to it, rather discusting atleast they could provide clean dishes.
Would I go there again never would I reccomend this restaurant to anyone never.
The bathrooms were rather dirty, what was funny is they have measuring scales in them not to mention the sinks are so low when washing your hands they are designed for a 3ft person. Posted on February 1, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ Arrived for dinner on Saturday night. the restaurant had double booked. It was my niece's birthday, so this was not pleasant. Having waited over an hour for another table to be made up for us, we were assured we would get a 50% discount on the meal. Once seated food took ages to come, starters were cold. Main meal was nice, but again took a while to come. Finally the bill came, and the manager refused the 50 % discount and only offered 25%. This is an extremely poor restaurant, and best avoided. Service is awful. Most definitely avoid this restaurant, as clearly they are running a cowboy operation. Posted on January 31, 2009 |
