★★★★☆ Update Oct 2014: Food is still good but the Zabihahness is not clear. Prices are still on the high side.
7/22/12: Tried the orange beef, Chicken fried rice, fried calamari, lettuce wraps, fried ice cream. I would say the food is a little on the pricey side but the food is pretty good. Posted on November 8, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Finally, after going there few times and unable to eat because of one reSon or the other - we are closed early today!!, did not open today, they are closed for ?? Renovation. Posted on November 8, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I attempted to take my wife and 2 kids there today. Half of the tables were open but had dirty dishes on them and were not clean, no one was cleaning them. We waited by the door for more then 10 mins to be seated, while servers 1 by 1 just looked at us and passed by without saying a single word. after the 10 mins or so of waiting, one of them finally took the time to come over and tell us: "sorry, it will be more then 30 more minutes until we can get a table cleaned for you to sit. We walked out and went elsewhere. Will not go back due to BAD customer service. Posted on April 29, 2014 |

★★★★★ Halal sign clearly visible! Delicious food, big portions, good service. worth the money!
We've visited this place a few times for lunch and have been impressed every time. Really delicious food with big portions. Try their lunch special or order from the menu. Costs about $10 a person. Posted on January 20, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Just another chinese restaurant nothing impressive about it, the food was bland, but atleast halal. Will probably not make a detour any time soon. Posted on April 9, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ CLEARLY THE PEOPLE RATING THIS PLACE 4 and 5 STARS HASNT REALLY HAD GOOD THAI/CHINESE TO COMPARE TO! The food was just ok, and the portions were VERY small compared to what noodle wave offers. Piman also serves alcohol and has a bar. The decor was nice though. The fried ice cream wasnt very great if you KNOW what its really supposed to taste like and they only offer vanilla flavor. Noodle wave's cinnamon fried ice cream is amazing! It's closer but I would never go here again because its worth going the little bit extra to get to noodle wave in richardson! ★★★★★ One of the best restaurants in the Dallas area. Posted on April 19, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Food is so-so -- for example Thai food here is not as great as Noodle Wave for instance. Portions are small relative to price. Good decor and stuff Posted on February 19, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ food was okay..not sure if meat was fresh...family got sick afterwards Posted on December 30, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I came here on a tuesday night, and we were the only one's here. There was a sign outside that said the chicken and beef is halal, as well as verbal assurance from the staff, who seemed reliable. The wait staff was very friendly; the decor is tasteful and of quality; and the food was good, not great but good. Posted on March 24, 2010 |

★★★★★ My girlfriend wanted to bring me to this place for a while, but I was hesitating because the experience from other Thai place. Finally, we came on Feb 14 without any arguing. This place was surprise me a lot.
They served Thai and Chinese mixed menu and our waitress was very helpful. I had Spicy Basil Flat Noodle and Kung Pao Beef and of course Fried Chicken wings. This is the place that I will go back to. Posted on February 23, 2010 |

★★★★★ Went to this on Saturday Dec. 19 for private party. Nice place, good decor and adequate service. Halal sign clearly displayed at the front of the restaurant. We tried several of different things. Chicken skewers, Beef curry and basil chicken fried rice were highly recommended. The staffs were friendly. Posted on January 23, 2010 |

★★★★★ The lady mentioned that all their meat is halal. They have a small sign on entering that halal meat can be requested, but it appears that all their meat is halal. The food was really good (masaman curry) and service was nice too Posted on April 27, 2009 |

★★★★★ We went to this restaurant for my cousin's birthday party. They served us with 2 kind curry-dishes and 6-7 Chicken and Beef dishes and some of the fried rice and noodle dishes. All of the foods were good especially the Kung Poa Chicken, Orange Beef and the Basil Thai Noodle (Spicy but good). The restaurant was very nice and the service was good. We were very satisfied. Our waiter was clearly mentioned about where they got halal meats from and how they prepared the meats. Don't forget to order Mochi ice cream (an ice cream ball with favors), if you still have some room. Posted on November 30, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ Nice restaurant with good Malaysian/thai food. I have had better thai food at other restaurants, but this place not bad. If you order a soda, it will never be empty! As soon as your drink reaches the half empty point, the server runs over to refill it! They even mention on the menu that beverages will be continuously served until you say stop (only if the food was served this way too!)
We were very surprised and upset upon leaving to learn that this restaurant sells alcohol. Posted on November 27, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ only SOME OF THE MEAT IS HALAL - and you must explicitly ask for it. Last time i went (~2005) you could only substitute halal chicken. it was rubbery. i also recall a shrimp dish that was ok. Posted on July 30, 2006 |

★★★★★ What a great place! I am really like this restaurant. They have a very fresh food and taste great. My family and I went to this place on Saturday night. We tried couple of curries and Thai Basil Fried Rice. Our kids loved their Orange Beef very much. But my favorite was Yellow Curry, the best curry I ever had. The Fried Rice was a little bit spicy and had a good basil smell. We were very satisfied with the food and atmosphere. Posted on July 25, 2006 |

★★★★★ I traveled to Thailand and lived in Thailand couple years. With such a high rating for Piman, I had a great expectation to taste real Thai. Well, I told my waiter that I didn't want to be disappointed since I made my trip to this restaurant. He suggested me some authentic Thai dishes like Yellow Curry, ChuChi Salmon (They called Salmon Red Sea), Noodles. I chose the ChuChi Salmon for my entrée and my wife had Pad SeeEew Noodle Even though, Salmon is not very popular in Thailand, it was go along very well with this aromatic red curry. For the noodle, they put broccoli instead of Chiness Broccoli that commonly used in this dish, but that it is acceptable for locally use. The most important was my wife enjoyed her dish. ★★★★☆ I recently ventured out to Piman last thursday night. First, the bad. The earlier reviews statements concerning the prices are warranted. Case in point. I opted for the "Panang Chicken Curry". 12 dollars? Yes, that's right. And the portion looked like more for lunch than dinner. Most choices looked to be a good 2 to 3 dollars more than comparable dishes at other thai places. Now the good. The panang curry was very good. Very rich, lightly marbled with golden oil from the chicken, and very tender. Also, the waitstaff is the legendary friendly Thai variety of waitstaff. I got takeout, and the girl was very engaging. So, the food was great, but unfortunately, I'm not sure I can afford it. Posted on October 31, 2005 |

★★★★★ I was very pleasantly surprised with this Asian Style Halal Restaurant. They posted the Certificate of Halal meat at the entrance. They serve Thai, Chinese and Japanese dishes. The atmosphere is passionate for couple and family. There is plenty of seating space and is a good clean environment. The staffs were very pleasant and polite. Spicy Kung-Pao and Chicken Yellow Curry were the best dishes among we ordered. Posted on September 16, 2005 |

★★★★★ I have never been to a better Thai restaurant. The taste is just awesome and the ambience immaculate. I would highly recommend it.
Only downside is that it is a little expensive. Posted on November 10, 2004 |

★★★★★ I like the food and the presentation. The staff was exceptional. Only little drawback is the price tag on the food items otherwise you definitly find the taste in their cooking. Posted on November 5, 2004 |

★★★★★ My family was relocated from California to this area. We didn't know anyone around here and where to get halal meat, so we went to Zabiha.com for some guides. We got this restaurant name from your website. First, we were not sure about the high rate which this restaurant had, but we went there and tasted the food anyway. The foods were unbelievably good! We ordered one curry, one spicy noodle, some satays and some rolls (sorry, couldn't remember the food name.) There staffs were very helpful with the food, the area and the direction all around here. We ordered there food everyday until we settled and familiar with our new community. Thank you Zabihah.com and Piman Asian Bistro's staffs. Posted on February 11, 2004 |

★★★★★ Thanks to Zabihah.com team to provide all of us this very useful website. I was on a business trip from Atlanta last week. I was looking for some place to eat. And I founded this awesome restaurant from your website. I went to check their menu and asked for halal meats at lunch time and decided to go back for dinner. Their menu had soups, fried rice, noodle dishes and curries. It also had some unique entrees as well, such as Red Sea Pan-Grilled Salmon & Calamari which I asked for chicken instead of calamari, a big piece of salmon & chicken poured over with hot red chili curry. A second plate of rice was asked to accompany my dish. If I have a chance to go to Texas, I will definitely go back to this restaurant again. Posted on November 2, 2003 |

★★★★☆ I went to try this restaurant last friday. My waitress suggested a Thai dish for me. It was grilled chicken and pineapple and some curry on top. I took her suggestion and the food was pretty good. Thank you Zabihah.com for having this useful website for us. Posted on July 28, 2003 |

★★★★★ My friends & I went to try this restaurant after I found the review in Zabihah.com. And I just found out that they've got 3 1/2 stars from Dallas Morning News. Their foods were Excellent. Their menu is dominated by Thai dishes which are our favorite. I ordered Panang Curry Beef, but I needed to tell our waitress that I needed Halal beef instead of regular beef. My curry was delicious! One of my friend ordered shrimp yellow curry and the others ordered chicken fried rice extra spicy. Their foods were great, too. Be careful Thai peppers when you order extra spicy. They were real spicy! Posted on July 18, 2003 |
