★☆☆☆☆ I drove all the way to the restaurant to find out they don't serve halal anymore Posted on April 4, 2021 |

★★★★★ Me and my colleagues got delivery first time today, from this Chinese restaurant.
Food is delicious and portions are good (well, Chinese places are usually generous), delivery was relatively fast, we have waited for about 35 minutes.
I called and talked to manager, so he said that they serve halal chicken, beef and shrimp. This time we tried sesame chicken, it was perfect, eggplant, my favorite now and got complimentary eggrolls, a bit greasy, but they are fried so it makes sense.
But their Pecking duck is not halal unfortunately. Posted on August 10, 2018 |

★★★★★ We were nervous going there as a family for the first time but i must say that it was worth the risk. Their appetizers are really good (Pu Pu Platter) along with their offering of soups (though small serving size). Also, don't forget to ask for their "spicy sauce". It is to die for! One thing worth mentioning is that this is not a fancy restaurant for family or coworkers to go dine out, but a good place for takeout. The owner is very friendly. Overall, a very good experience for us. Posted on March 3, 2014 |

★★★★★ This was the first Halal food joint my wife and I stopped by when visiting Houston. The service is on point and the family who runs it are very friendly. The food is amazing. We ordered the beef with broccoli, the orange chicken, and the chow mein. MashaAllah the food was very good and tasty. A little pricey but well worth it. I recommend this place to everyone, help out your local muslim businesses! Posted on January 19, 2014 |

★★★★☆ I have been going to restaurant on and off for last few years. It is pretty good. We have done catering for a charitable cause at our work place no complains about the food. Clean. Courteous service. Pretty busy at lunch. Posted on December 11, 2012 |

NR I hope syed.h (the review prior to this) isn't writting many more reviews. Based on his review I came to golden Hunan which was hands down the worst halal Chinese food in Houston.
I ordered the kung pao chicken which tasted bland and only full of soy sauce. The chicken was cut in large cubes- nothing like how kung pao is suppose to be like.
I also ordered dumplings which smelt like they were washed in dish washing soap. They were not steaming nor were they hot. Tasted horrible.
The rice was old, stale and smelt like it was spoiled but heated up in soy sauce.
Overall, horrible food. But kind and welcoming staff. Place was completely empty- no one except us. Posted on June 21, 2012 |
