★★★★★ After hearing about a friend talk about Crespo pizza for more than a year, I finally decided to check it out and was not disappointed. The reason it took me so long to go was due to the distance. I drove from The Woodlands and it was very well worth the drive. I'm already ready to go back! The Meat Lover's Delight is what I ordered and it was amazing. Bread sticks are also good.
Everything on the menu is halaal; there are no non halaal items on the menu. The prices are good, the food is very good quality and the restaurant is nice and clean. The owner of Crespo was very nice and friendly. It was a pleasure talking to him.
Whether you live near or far, the pizza at Crespo is worth the drive! Posted on December 9, 2017 |

★★★★★ Delicious food with regular fast food pizza sizes, friendly owner and complimentary garlic breadsticks. Food came out fast despite our large party size and it was all very tasty. Posted on November 24, 2018 |

★☆☆☆☆ Its a little expensive .We ordered meat lover and BBQ chicken pizza.
Meat lover was fine but BBQ chicken pizza was horrible. Chicken has some uncooked garlic smell which makes me not to take a single bite anymore . I wont be going back again . Also the meat lover was not out of this world . It was just normal. Posted on November 2, 2014 |

NR I've eaten pizza from places in California and even famous pizza's in New York, and by the way the best gourmet pizza's are well over $25.00 a pie because of the rarity of the ingredients which makes there pizza's unique and ultimately very good but, this pizza being only a fraction of that and yet is on that same level if not one of the best I've ever had makes this place one of the best pizza places in Houston to eat pizza.
On Top of that, one of the nicest pizza owners ever.
If your Muslim, and you love pizza you have to come here. Posted on September 21, 2014 |

★★★★☆ The pizza was great but too expensive! The prices have been removed from the menu and I was shocked to hear my total. We had the meat lovers and the bbq chicken and both were very good and at a reasonable price, we would be regulars! I had the Parmesan chicken sandwich which was ok but not great. Stick with the Pizza which was awesome but expect to pay a premium! Posted on July 22, 2014 |

|
★★★★★ I had the meat lover's pizza. It was awesome! I asked whether the pepperoni was made from halal beef. He told me that the place was 100% halal and no pork products are used. I recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting houston. For the full review, please click here. Posted on April 4, 2014 |

★★★★★ The food really is amazing. Based on everyone's reviews, I ordered the meatball sub and meat lovers pizza slice. Both were delicious and didn't disappoint. Posted on August 29, 2013 |

★★★★★ Food was great went with a group of friends we tried the meat lovers, gyro, chicken parm sandwich, chicken pizza everyone liked the food and the staff was great and very welcoming Posted on March 23, 2013 |

★★★★★ Had the lasagna, meat lovers and supreme pizzas. The (complimentary ?) breadsticks were a little oily, but everything else was good. Would come again to try other selections on the menu! Posted on February 16, 2013 |

|
★★★★☆ Stopped here with family while visiting town. The brother and staff are very nice. Average sitting are.
The food was good, however it was VERY oily and greasy. Tried the meat lovers pizza, meatball sub and the breadsticks.
The food would still taste good if the oil/grease is reduced. Posted on January 18, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Good but can be better, will visit again!!
Pizza was good, the meat lovers was a little bit more salty, but the veggie pizza was good, great to have halal meat options. went with family. Will visit again. Posted on January 8, 2013 |

★★★★★ After seeing other positive reviews, we had lunch here on a visit to Houston. I can say my only regret is they don't have a location closer to home. The food is excellent, and is very cheap as well. I recommend the Meat Lovers pizza, and if you have some time then talk to the owner. He is very kind, accomodating, and also has many stories to tell. And the seating arrangment is very nice, you can either sit inside or outside. His arrangments for the outside patio are excellent. ★★★★★ Awesome Pizza! We have even had Pizza catered from here for a Corporate lunch. Posted on June 15, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I am a frequent customer of this place. You get quality food and service at a great price. You just cant beat that place. My personal favorite is their meat ball sandwich and their meat lovers' pizza. Posted on June 2, 2012 |

|
★★★★★ Great food, nice people. Had the meat lovers pizza, and the crespo calazone (with chicken). Both had great flavor. This is kind of random but the patio chairs were reeeallly comfortable. Anyway, it was tasty, fresh and halal! What else can you ask for? Posted on May 15, 2012 |

★★★★★ I love the pizza, the place and the very kind owner! Alhamdulillah, this is what a nice little pizzeria should be and how it should be run.
Muslims are always wondering if they are missing out on certain things (pork products), but this brothers pizzas lay that thought to rest, because they are deliciously halal. Whether it's one slice or getting a whole pizza, I prefer to sit and dine in, because the owner is such a nice Muslim. He's very considerate and smiling.
I know, I should do more to help promote his business, because finding a restaurant owner like him is rare. If I lived closer, I would eat there weekly. Subhan'allah for such a great place! Posted on March 20, 2012 |

★★★★★ Great pizza and very nice owner. Pleasure giving them my business. Posted on February 18, 2012 |

|
★★★★★ The pizza here is fantastic, the pizza on its own (crust, sauce and cheese) is 8 out of 10 in my opinion, but with the meat added it is a solid 10 out of 10. Go there now! Make sure you try the BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Meat Lovers Pizza, You will not be dissapointed!! Posted on February 13, 2012 |

★★★★★ I recently visited Houston from NY and wanted to try a halal restaurant down here. Took a look at zabihah.com and noticed Crespo with all these positive reviews. So me and my family decided to go there...and boy were we not disappointed. The food, especially the pizza, was amazing. Possibly the best pizza i've had and I am from NY where we are known for our pizza. Crespo makes everything fresh and tasty. On top of that its 100% zabihah. We had the supreme pizza and it was amazing. I wish we could have tried every type of pizza, but I definitely will be going here again before I head back to NY to try something else. Another plus is the owner is very nice and friendly. He makes it a point that you are being taken care and that you are enjoying the food. If you are in houston you MUST visit Crespo Posted on November 7, 2011 |

★★★★★ This place is just amazing. Everything from cleaniliness to customer service, down to the food.. EXCELLENT!
Owner is very friendly and personable. Food is fresh and taste is always consistently good!! I love their italian roast beef sandwich and their pizzas are very authentic as well!! Yeah, the place is small and kind of hidden but iA, with enough business, he can expand or add locations.
Note to the owner: Please open a location in 1960/290 area. Posted on October 19, 2011 |

★★★★★ It's what everyone else has said it is. Pizza is absolutely delicious, made fresh with top quality organic ingredients. I'd been deprived of good pizza since I'd left the East Coast but this place is definitely on or beyond that level. Last time I was there I met the owner, really nice, friendly guy -- one of my friends dropped a slice of pizza and he saw it and said don't worry about it, picked it up, some minutes later we got a new a slice. ★★★★★ This is one of the best pizza places I have been to. I have tried a lot on the menu and have been impressed with everything (except the buffalo wings, but I'm not a wings type of guy).
The service is great, and the owner repeatedly assured me everything was halal. The pizza is really, really good. And it's consistently good.
I've had halaal pizza's before, but this was orders of magnitudes better. Service was great. First time I came here, I talked to the owner and asked about the halaal food and ordered a medium pizza... he upgraded me to a large for free...! Impressed my guests and friends as well...
The place is kinda small though. Maybe 4-5 tables, and a patio area, but I have no complaints. Great service, great food. Posted on December 31, 2010 |

★★★★★ Amazing, I don't know how anyone could possibly knock this place. Mashallah this is the best pizza I have ever eaten an my dad has owned two pizza places... I promise you will not be disappointed, if u are I Houston you must stop by here before you leave if not u will regret it. As for halal or not it is 100% Zabihah, once u talk with the owner u will not doubt it and if for some reason u still do he has a bunch of paperwork to prove everything. Go support ur fellow Muslim, loved the pasta and pizza I drove 8hrs to try it and it was worth it Posted on December 28, 2010 |

★★★★★ Glad we made another visit. They have enclosed the patio seating and it is great. It was warm on the patio even though it was cold outside! Great food and great outdoor seating in any kind of weather....this is my kind of place! Posted on December 4, 2010 |
|

★★★★★ Too good to be true! I keep thinking is this really halal? The owner Sam is very friendly. Very tasty pizzas. Posted on November 23, 2010 |

★★★★★ By far the best halal pizza I had in recent memory. reasonably priced and definetly on the list of halal joints I will frequent. Posted on November 14, 2010 |

★★★★☆ nice owner, good pizza, certainly fresh ingredients including pepperoni.. good job ! Posted on October 24, 2010 |

★★★★★ We were craving italian food so we decided to see if anything was in the area. It turns out the we stumbled across Crespo on Zabihah. Probably one of the only halaal italian places you will find. We decided to give a try and were really happy to do so. On top of being halaal, the pizza dough is organically made, and they import their cheese from wisconsin so you can tast the incredible flavor. The pricing was decent and the food was outstanding. Although the location is a bit out of the way for most, it is well worth the drive to finally enjoy a full menu of halaal italian delight. Posted on September 25, 2010 |

|
★★★★★ Went here today and had a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was good! The owner is a friendly guy. :) Posted on September 23, 2010 |

|
★★★★★ This place is stellar and Zabihah. Its been around for over 5 yrs - I moved to LA for two yrs and am back to Houston and the quality is still top notch!!! The Italian Supreme is AWESOME!!! The guy orders Wisconsin cheese!!! The salads are crispy and super fresh! The lasagna's are done rrrrright!!
The place is quite small so going there with up to about 4-5 people in your party is ideal - otherwise get take out!!! The bummer is he closes on Sundays...guess he needs a break!!! It's all about quality at Crespo!!! Posted on August 12, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★★ Every time I come here I am not disappointed. The pizza and wings are AWESOME! I ordered wings for a bridal shower and my friend ordered a few pizzas for her office party so they definately can make large orders happen. I am not a really big fan of the sandwiches though. Tried out the chicken parmesean and the gyro. Not to say that I wouldn't try out their other items, but now I just stick to the pizza and wings! Posted on August 3, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★★ Finally, a Halal pizzeria! I had to travel all the way to Texas to try one, though.
The pizza itself is great. It's thin crust, and the cheese is great. The sauce is just a little sweet (reminds me of the way pizza is made in Cleveland, OH), but still very good.
I have to tell you, I was VERY skeptical when I walked in, and I asked the owner twice if the food he was serving was halal. He affirmed me it was on both occasions.
He also had prayer rugs and our family prayed our Asr prayer there.
I left the pizzeria absolutely impressed, and the next time I visit Houston, I plan to eat there again. Posted on July 26, 2010 |

★★★★★ i love this place. his pizza, wings and sandwiches rock. i used to office in the area so he even used to deliver to us. Posted on May 28, 2010 |

★★★★★ Thanks to Zabihah's recommendation we (family of 5) visited this location. Ordered Halal pepperoni and fitness lover's pizza, interviewed the owner asking how he gets the halal pepperoni. We are satisfied with the owner's detailed explanations, we could now eat meat lovers Halal pizza in Houston from this place without any hasitation. I also inquired about the delicious pizza crust, the answer was it is made out of organic wheat. I conclude that owner has a sensible food business vision which he is applying it to creat a great menu no one can match. We sat outside in the patio under the shade and enjoyed our food in the cool breezy environment. We also ordered roast beef sandwich and pasta which met expectations. Plan to repeatedly visit and try other menus soon. Owner's personal attitude was great.
Thank you. Posted on May 8, 2010 |

★★★★★ Tried the turkey sandwich (score: 9/10) and the roast beef sanfwich (7/10). The roast beef was a bit dry, and not as tasty as the turkey sandwich. Restaurant is pretty small, but the patio is great on a nice day. Posted on April 17, 2010 |

★★★★★ I want to clarify about the food being halal -- one the reviewers mentioned that nowhere in the restaurant or menu is the word 'halal' mentioned. Actually, the owner maintains two menus and I saw both. Both look exactly the same except that one contains the word 'halal' while the other doesn't.
Also, the owner showed me the certificate validating his claim that the meat served is halal.
But for me, Alhamdulillah, a Muslim's word is enough. I don't need to see any certificate or menu that confirms the food being halal. As long as the owner claims it halal, it is halal. And this is the view of the scholars. It is not the job of individual customers to investigate the owner's claim.
By the way, the food is fantastic! Posted on March 14, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★★ Food is excellent, we ate pizza, chicken gyro, spaghetti with chicken parm and all the food tasted great exspecially the gyro. Owner is really nice, the only thing is that they have no sign that the food is zabihah, not even on the menu. Posted on March 6, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★★ I love this place! The spaghetti is my favorite and I would recommend this place to my friend. Posted on February 18, 2010 |

★★★★★ I have tried halal pizza in many restaurants but ALL OF THEM WERE GOOD. But when I ate the CRESPO SUPREME I realized that the rest were really bad. First of all the restaurant is really nice, you feel like home, second the decoration is very nice simple and very clean. Third the pizza was DELICIOUS, the desserts are awesome specially the baklava. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANT. The owner was very nice and polite, he approached to the table and e talked with us a little bit. I think that the reviews and the rate that is has is talking by itself. CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU FOR BRINGING TO HOUSTON A REAL ITALIAN PIZZA. DELICIOUSS!! Posted on January 30, 2010 |

★★★★☆ I had an exceptional time at this restaurant. My family was visiting from the Northeast and this is where I decided to take them-they all loved it! I liked the decor outside the restaurant too--there was a nice tent set up. The food, particularly the barbeque pizza was pretty tasty. Highly recommended halal food. Posted on January 18, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★★ Finally, a great halal Italian place in Houston! Regarding its status of halal, the owner is a very nice person who constantly reassured us that the meat is zabihah halal, specifically ordered from some Muslim warehouse in Iowa. He said he had the certificate -- I took him at his word. The food was great, ESPECIALLY their pizza. We got the meat lovers and it was very tasty. The crust, slightly crispy. The cheese - high quality. Sauce, good. Not too oily, just right. The stromboli was also good as well as some other pasta items. I'll be going back. Indoor seating is very small, but nice enough to sit down with some friends/family. some outside seating also. Owner was very nice and caring. Posted on November 22, 2009 |

★★★★★ Assalamu alaykum. I think the commenter lovehalaal was probably speaking to the non-Muslim workers. My husband personally knows the owner who is Muslim. Ma sha Allah I love this place. I can't help but get 2 orders of the breadsticks when I go there! I love their spaghetti and their cheese pizza too. Posted on October 13, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ After reading the excellent reviews on this establishment, I decided to try their food a couple of weeks ago. I was disappointed by the owner/manager who responded to my Salaam with 'good day'. There were other customers in the store, so I only asked if the food is halal & he confirmed verbally. The food was average but nothing outstanding. When I left, I was greeted with 'bye'. I probably will not return to this place where the owners appear to be ashamed of being Muslim. Posted on October 12, 2009 |
|
|
★★★★★ Very highly recommended! The best pizza we have so far! Halal meat, generous ingredients and toppings, not greasy at all and very delicious! We really enjoy it and will come back for more. Two thumbs up for the service and the owner is very friendly. He goes all out to ensure that he provides halal food for the Muslims. We are very grateful for that. Alhamdulillah! ★★★★★ Wife and I went to Crespo Pizza on 06/03/09 evening. We ordered BBQ Pizza and Chicken Parmesan sandwich. The food was very tasty. The owner of this place was very nice to us and he even gave us fresh bread sticks and bottles of water for free, for being the first time visitor. It is an excellent spot for Halal Italian food. Will definitely go there again InshAllah Posted on June 5, 2009 |

★★★★★ Went there and tried different pizzas. The BBQ pizza was great!
The place is not too expensive, and the owner is a nice guy who seems to care about the customers.
Will visit them again soon! Posted on May 23, 2009 |

★★★★★ The food was great, but what made it soo much better was the exceptional service.
Although there isn't too much room to sit down inside and outside, definitely a place you should try. Posted on May 1, 2009 |

★★★★★ We went to this place today and mashaa Allah, the Pizza was great and what was even better is the Owner; he is very nice man and proudly serving all halal menu. In shaa Allah if come back to Houston we will visit him again. Posted on April 11, 2009 |

★★★★★ Wife and I went on New Year's Eve and had few slices of pizza. We tried cheese, Veggie, and BBQ chicken and breadsticks and all tasted awesome. The owner and staff were friendly and with prompt service. The owner takes pride in offering Halal to the Muslim community. Will go back to try other items on the menu. A+ Posted on January 2, 2009 |

★★★★★ I visited them a week ago, and was very impressed with the quality and quantity food. It is glad to know that we have a halal Italian place which is serving muslim comunity. I had Lasagna, which was great. I recommend this place to all the muslims and non muslims to go visit and enjoy. Posted on July 19, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★☆ We ordered 2 pizzas and they were so good. I can say for sure we will go back. The only thing I did not like was that the owner did not have a HALAL sign anywhere in the store. He gave me verbal assurance but I wouldve still prefer seeing a sign. Posted on July 12, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★★ This is the first time I have been to eat at this restaurant and it was excellent. My wife and children loved the PASTA, the sandwich and specially the Tiramisu. I would recommend anyone to give it a try. The service was also very excellent, on-time and very friendly. Posted on May 30, 2008 |

★★★★★ Always worth the drive, great chicken pizza, with excellent beef lasagna and chicken parmesan. Owner is Muslim and passionate about his all zabihah menu. Posted on May 13, 2008 |

★★☆☆☆ pizza was not very good. Posted on January 2, 2008 |

★★★★★ I had pizza here today. I first thing I asked was what was halal. I was informed they everything they served was halal. They were not selling anything that was not halal, which is great. The pizza was excellent! It was very well done & the toppings were good in quantity. Other than the good quality food I found that place to be nice clean and comfortable! Posted on September 30, 2007 |

|
★★★★☆ The Crespo Italian Supreme that I ordered was very delicious. With thick, crusty bread and generous amount of beef, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, green pepper, black olives and onion. The owner assured me that all of the beef product are halal. Good choice for the good time. Posted on April 29, 2007 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ Poor inside seating. No AC that day. We ate out. It was OK. Pizza was greasy. Midamar products. Posted on April 26, 2007 |
|
|
★★★★☆ Great pizza. Owner said the buffalo wings were not halal. So ask about each item. If he says x, y, z items are halal (i hope he means zabihah) then since he's a Muslim we can go for those. Dont go with the roast beef, its not worth it. Posted on February 23, 2007 |
|
|
★★★★★ Went there last night and tried their pizza. It must have been one of the best pizzas I ever had. The crust was great and pizza was loaded with toppings. Owner assured me everything on the meat pizza was halal. Will definately go back even though it is a haul for me coming from Katy. Highly recommend this place. Posted on January 30, 2007 |

★★★★★ First impressions count and mine was great for this place. Nice owner, great food. Even if it is far from where i live I can't wait to go back. Posted on January 26, 2007 |

|
★★★★★ This place is GREAT!! A friend reccommended it and boy was he right. The owner is a Muslim who said he orders the meat from Iowa to make sure he gets halal. NO PORK is in this place at all (unlike some so-called halal pizza places). He does not sell alcohol.
The place is small, but has a great pizza place feel with dim red lighting and stools. We enjoyed the patio.
My husband got the lasagna which he said was some of the best he'd ever had. I had the roast beef sandwhich (hot) and I can't stop talking about how good it was and I ate it half an hour ago! Mmmmm crusty, flaky bread, the right amount of mayo and lettuce and some great roast beef with cheese melted just right.
This place really knows how to do Italian/American in a halal way. It was so worth the 15 mile drive (one-way) for us. I plan to go every week inshallah! Posted on November 14, 2006 |
|
|
★★★★★ My husband and I split a pizza, salad and garlic breadsticks and it was all under $20. The food was fresh and really tasty. We will definetly go back. Posted on November 6, 2006 |
|
|
★★★★★ The owner is a Syrian Muslim. He showed me his packages. He buys meat pre-packaged online from one of those places like al-safa but it starts with an M. I can't remember. Anyway, I tried the chicken parmesan sandwich. Pretty good and about 5 bucks. Nice clean environment with a few outdoor umbrella tables as well. Posted on April 25, 2006 |
