★☆☆☆☆ Sadly, I don't see this restaurant staying in business more than a few more months if they continue to perform the way they did this evening. We decided to try this place out and arrived for dinner around 8pm. We were impressed by the sheer size and capacity of this establishment. Little did we know that this would be the only thing that impressed us about this place. We ordered the kafta platter and the mixed grill platter. We were given a choice of rice or fries. We asked for our kababs to be served with salad. This is when things got a little weird. Our server said, "I don't know if we can substitute salad for rice or fries. Let me check with someone." That statement confused the heck out of us. We said "What do you mean you can't substitute salad?" You can substitute rice for fries; or fries for rice; so why not salad?? We're actually saving you money by ordering our meals with salad, and we should, in principle, pay less for our meal because salad is, well, you know, a heck of a lot cheaper than rice or fries despite how much dressing you put on it. Our server came back and said, "sorry, can't substitute salad, but you can buy a salad." I got real mad here. I said, "you want us to pay for our platter, even though we're getting half of the usual portion, and on top of that you want us to pay extra for an entree size salad?" We got up to leave. But before we did, our server said let me ask one more time. She came back and said OK we can do it for you just this one time. We were hungry so we decided to stay. We ordered our food and appetizers. We didn't receive our appetizers til 1 hour and 20 minutes later! And it was served with our dinner! Dude, how long does it take to whip up some hummus (we ordered hummus for our appetizer)? And I hate when restaurant's serve the appetizer with the dinner plate. It is supposed to arrive as a first course way before the dinner, otherwise don'tcall it an appetizer. Also, we waited for 30 minutes before we got our drinks. When we complained, the server said sorry we are busy. I looked in the restaurant and there were only 3-4 tables (out of like fifty) occuppied! This place is a joke. We go out to eat 3-5 times a week and we know what good food is and what good service is, and here, you get neither. We will not return and I definitely do not recommend this place. Mount of Lebanon is a classic example of a an eager owner who opened a restaurant too early. I understand these are the former owners of the Lebanese Butcher, where they had a three table, small fast food joint. They did OK there, however this is just too big of a leap for them. Don't get me wrong, I always pray for Muslim owned business' to become and stay successful, however I don't believe this restaurant is ready for this yet, until they can understand their market, the consumer behavior of their patrons and what it means to enjoy a high quality dining experience. Tonight was a waste of my time and money. I will not return. I do not recommend this place. Posted on March 11, 2012 |

★★★★★ I eat here regularly and I have never been disappointed. It's the same people who run Lebanese Butcher, only they have expanded their restaurant side. Same great food. The Lebanese food is great, the American food is great, I'm really glad that they are back in business. Posted on January 27, 2012 |
