★★★★☆ first time i went there i had the haleem with 2 naan. both the haleem and the naan were delicious. they give you just the right amount of haleem with good amount of spice and the naan were freshly made and were still bubbling when they reached the table. drinks are disappointing. was hoping for some authentic masala chai freshly brewed but all i got was some teabag tea. everything came up to $13 which was ok. next time i went i wanted haleem again but they didn't have. guess i should've called in ahead. also they are closed on sundays and mondays, but if you're coming from far i would call ahead anyways just to make sure they're open. inside is lovely and kinda looks like a small nightclub with couches and tv but there are tables too. there is no air conditioning, and it can get quite hot inside especially while eating spicy food. the waitress wears hijab which is a plus. overall a nice place to bring your family just remember to call ahead of time to make sure they're open and to make sure they have the dish you want!

★★★★☆ Definitely will go back!
My father suggested this place as for his father's day lunch that my sister and I treated him to. We had heard about it and wanted to check it out. We were all really hungry, so we ordered a lot of food, and even ended up taking some home. We had 3 servings of butter chicken, a big plate of the house special biryani to share, and 4 pieces of naan: 3 regular pieces, and one garlic. YUM!!!
All together, with tax, our bill came to $48. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but when I reflected on how much food we had, I realized that it really wasn't. Plus, the extra bit that we couldn't finish, I took home to my husband, and he loved it as well. So technically that $48 paid for 4 people, so it was a really good value.
The atmosphere is great: cosy, well decorated and clean. The food was fresh, hot, and well prepared. My only constructive criticism is that it was a bit saltier than I'm used to, but it was still delicious!
The hostess/waitress/cook (she's a triple-threat) was very welcoming and friendly. We were only planning to get the butter chicken (our favourite) but she recommended the biryani, so we ordered that too, and we were all happy that we did.
There was a menu when we went, but it was pretty basic, and could use some spiffing up. I agree with the previous comment that images and full descriptions would be very helpful for anyone not familiar with Pakistani cuisine.
Overall a great place that I'm recommending to my friends and family. Posted on June 27, 2012 |

Excellent choice of atmosphere and friendly behavior of owner with its customers adds to the beauty of this restaurant.
I personally would strongly suggest this place, this restaurant indeed is second to none. Posted on May 16, 2012 |

★★★★★ I went to eat at this relatively new restaurant with my family. We had some Biryani, some chicken Tikka and some haleem and the food was very tasty. The owner was very welcoming as well. The atmosphere was very familial and the restaurant itself was great.
I would strongly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic pakistani/indian food. This is one of the best restaurants I have been in Canada.
I have only one suggestion for the owner: It would be great if you had menus with pictures of the food so that customers can more easily choose what they want. There was no menu when I visited but that was around 4 months ago. Posted on April 4, 2012 |
