★★☆☆☆ After reading all the amazing reviews, I had to try this place. Big disappointment! We were told everything here was halal so we ate the chicken. Now I have heard only the lamb is halal which is disappointing but I was not planning on returning here anyway.
We went on a Friday night and there was only one table occupied. The ambiance is great. It is clean and nicely decorated, that is why I gave them 2/5.
The food was not good at all. I don't like to be down on halal restaurants, but seriously the food was no good. We ordered the 3 appetizers for $8.50 which is a great deal but we didn't really like any of them. We had the hummus, fried eggplant and the yogurt dip (I forget the name). The hummus was literally just pulsed chickpeas with no spices or oil. It was also very grainy and there was no attention paid to the presentation, it was just placed on a plate. The eggplant was literally just fried and a few parsley leaves were thrown on top. The yogurt dip was ok, but you can't go too wrong with cucumber in yogurt.
For the main course I ordered the chicken kebob with sautéed vegetables. The chicken was way over cooked and had no flavor. There were sweet potatoes as part of the vegetables and they were practically raw. I left most of my food.
My husband ordered falafel with foul muddamas. This dish was ok. I wouldn't say it was very good or even good, it was just ok. If I ever went back, I wouldn't order this again.
The staff was polite and food came out in decent time.
I highly doubt we will try this restaurant again. I'm not sure what all the rave reviews are about. Posted on October 1, 2015 |

★★★★★ Bismillah. This is a great Halal Restaurant. They are the only Halal Fine Dining Restaurant where you can sit and eat and enjoy good service and great atmoshphere. I learned about them through a flyer they distributed at the Masjid for Iftar. They had a really great deal.
I live in High Point and I wish I can go there more often.
Tips: Try the Beef Lamb Shawerma, the Lamb Chops, the Ducks. There Hummus and Baklava are the best!
Also the Roselle tea is Great! Posted on July 24, 2014 |

★★★★★ This is really a great place and every Muslim in Greensboro should be proud of it. A neat upper class Restaurant but not expensive. Great Halal food at very reasonable price.
I tried it several times with family and friends and they never disappointed me.
My favorite dish is Macaroni Bechamel and Kofta. Even though it is not on the menu, they go out of their way to accommodate me. I really like their Kofta. It tastes and smells like heaven. And the Baklava is Amazing. Great Great Food! Posted on May 25, 2014 |

★★★★★ ****AMZING FOOD****
I ordered take out the staff was very friendly and helpful I had a TON of questions and they were able to answer every one of them. We went with the Baba Ghanoush for an appetizer which was delicious. We decided to go with the mixed grill it offered a great variety a little bit of everything. I must say it was all wonderful and tasted amazing. It included kofta kabab, chicken, and lamb chops. It was all so juicy and tender. We also went with the Gambari and WOW the calamari and shrimp were amazing so fresh. The shrimp that were included where HUGE it was such a great price for the food quality you receive is worth every dollar spent. I must admit I was a bit nervous since it was take out but everything was packed wonderfully which helped everything stay hot and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised I sure will be back. ★★★☆☆ I drove 45 minutes from Winston-Salem to take my family here to impress them. The decor was nice and inviting but the mostly American staff and ambiance was not. The kid's food was horribly overcooked. The Foule Muddammes and Shorbat (Adas) was very disappointing - come on, these are Egyptian specialties... On the other hand, where else will you find these in our area so I will likely return and give them another shot.
I will add that the Shawarma was excellent. Posted on December 1, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ I used to go almost every good to Cleapatra, at the beginning food was really delicious, even though the price is a little expensive, but I didn't care, until one day, I came for lunch, and it took them about 1 hour and 20 minutes to serve me lunch, and it was burnt, excuse one of the chefs did not come, I said its Okey. So two weeks later, I invited my family there, service again was slow, but not as before, the only thing I noticed that it took then 15 minutes to bring my soup, and it was not that good at all, not like the first time when I started going there, also the rice was over cooked, and half of my family was complaining, and again, I decided to go another time with a few of my friends, service again was really slow, and I ordered the lentil soup again, still does not test the same way I tried the first time, so I am assuming now that the chef has been changed, and I asked for bumya the meat was really hard. Oh and they started to charge for bread which I didn't like at all
So in conclusion, Cleopatra was really good at the beginning, but not I am not going there at all, found another place cheap and really tasty. Posted on August 6, 2012 |

★★★★★ As Salaamu alaikum!
Cleopatra is definitely placing Greensboro on the Map! This was some of the best shawarma i have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot of shawerma. Very clean, prices reasonable, proudly serves Halal. I pray Allah makes the business successful. Posted on June 27, 2012 |

★★★★★ I'm Egyptian and I have never has such good authentic Egyptian food in the US until I went to Cleopatra's. I went with my wife and kids. We tried the Mixed grill which have Kofta, Kabab, Chicken and Lamb Chops. Sooo delicious. I also got a side of Macarona Bashamel which is my favorite Egyptian dish. I always thought no one can make it better than my Mom but now I have to rethink about that :) My wife also got some Mosakaa and she liked it a lot. We has some baba ghanoush and fewl and falafel as appetizer and every thing was excellent. Of course the food was so much we had to take some home. But we were astonished by the desserts. Freshly made and look eclectic in the display case. This is now my most favorite restaurant in the US! I want it to succeed because they use good ingredients and their food taste good and they are also very hospitable. The owner came over and spoke to us and was very nice. Also, the chef came out to check on us. The kids liked a lot too. We asked them to verify it is Halal the owner showed us a copy of a certificate from the supplier they get their meat from. So, 100% guaranteed Zabihah. Posted on June 26, 2012 |
