The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status. Per March 18, 2011 response from owner, everything sold at the restaurant is halal. Halal sign also on logo on the outside of the building. Also operates halal meat store named Nader Halal Meat Market & Variety, and have been open for about 20 years. Uses the same halal suppliers as with the store.

★☆☆☆☆ Sorry to write this story but the incident is important for all to know. Our pregnant family friend had dinner at Nader and she got very sick during the night and she was rushed to the emergency where they told her it is food poisoning. I don’t know if you believe that everything happen for a reason and orchestrated by the Supreme Lord of all Worlds, but that incident stumbled the doctors across an irregularity in the baby’s heart beat and found that there is something wrong with the quantity of water around the baby. One thing led to another but even though the food poisoning happen for a reason, the point that Nader needs to be investigated since this is not the first time I was myself unhappy about the quality of food there. For example, after years of boycotting Nader, I went back to buy a burger and it had a fish after taste. Posted on February 21, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ Dirty restaurant. Tables and glasses are not clean most of the time (this is based on at least 10+ visits). You can see many flies sometimes especially in Summer. The only reason we were coming back was because of space and no many customers. I guess empty restaurants are good for meetings.
Despite the space, customer service is terrible. The manger is very rude and angry. Stay away from the restaurant and don't deal with them. We are moving our meeting location & business somewhere else. After dealing with them directly no one will ever step inside such restaurant again and I will make sure personally everyone knows about how bad of a customer service they are. ★★☆☆☆ I’ve never been to Nader’s as I heard unflattering things about it. For Middle Eastern food I usually go to another well known restaurant. But I was craving steak and Nader’s had it on their menu so I thought I would try it and satisfy my steak craving (There is another great steak place that serves a halal cut of steak but I didn’t want to wait two days to pre-order my steak).
AMBIANCE– Wonderful! The restaurant was QUITE NICE. It’s located in a plaza with big box stores (right beside Winners Apparel) so it is very large. The décor was very nice and would be comparable to a big chain restaurant (It’s SIGNIFICANTLY nicer than the other well known restaurant in Mississauga but not quite a Milestones or Alice Fazoolis). Nevertheless I would see myself entertaining people there for halal fine dining. I think it’s probably one of the nicer halal middle eastern restaurants I’ve been to in the West End.
SERVICE – Great! I went on Labour Day (September 3, 2012) so as expected it was empty. We immediately got a table and my server was very cordial and accommodating. In fact, I received an extra side (Caesar salad).
PRICE– Reasonable. A 16 oz. steak with two sides was $24.99 (my friend ordered the 12 oz for $19.99). Side options were: baked potato, sautéed vegetables, fries, salad, etc so it was quite reasonable overall (a good steak is typically $50). I ordered the baked potato and sautéed vegetables and my friend ordered the fries and sautéed vegetables.
QUALITY – Unsatisfactory. *Disclaimer – I ordered steak which is not a traditional Middle Eastern item*. We asked for the steaks to be well done. “Well done” typically is cooked uniformly from top to bottom. Instead the steaks were very charred (burned) on the outside but got redder and redder as you got to towards the centre. *Disclaimer – most people don’t want their steaks well done so it may not be something Nader’s does well*. TIP – the steaks would have been good if they were cooked longer on a lower heat. That would prevent the steaks from being charred on the outside but moist and cooked on the inside.
What was REALLY disappointing was my steak had a huge lump in it (roughly a small fist sized lump on my steak). It looked as though the meat had a “tumour” on it and it was not cooked enough (really red – close to “rare”) and was visually unpleasant. The server was very pleasant, agreed it was unappealing and took it back right away and got them to cook me a new steak. She also got me a complimentary side Caesar salad which was nice. Unfortunately the second steak was even less "well-done" than the first one. The server asked how my second steak was and I had to show her that it was even more uncooked. She was embarrassed and assured me that usually the steak is cooked nicely when requested as well-done (in fact, she said that the owner cooked the steak himself this time). Before she could ask if I wanted another steak prepared I assured her that I felt badly and don’t want to make them cook a third steak.
OVERALL – I was happy that I was able to try the restaurant as I think it has a lot of potential. Unfortunately for the quality of the food and the price I don’t think I would be coming here anytime soon. It does appear from other reviews that it does a decent job of traditional Middle Eastern food so I would be curious as to how it compares to other restaurants in the area. ★★★★☆ really nice food with good size of sides. I've been there few times with family and always enjoyed the food. They still have to improve the speed of service. Overall, good experience :) Posted on August 28, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Went there with wife and kid, food was great, service was even better as they take order and serve it to you which is surprising to find at middle eastern places. Restaurant is newly built and has a very nice ambiance inside. Will try their ice cream gelato next time i go there. Posted on August 23, 2012 |

★★★★★ I have been to Nader's Grill & Bakery several times now in the last few months. I have ordered takeout a few times and dine-in once. We had a family dinner at Nader's for about 20 people and the service was very fast. The food was amazing and the service was efficient. I recommend this place for anyone who likes Middle Eastern Halal food. Posted on August 22, 2012 |

★★★★★ The food was amazing, We ordered 2 plates(as it is Ramadan and we already broke our fast on dates and juice at a nearby park)five in our party ate well on two plates- 1. mixed shawarma plate with afghani rice and salad 2.Grilled chicken kebab with roasted potatoes and salad. The afghani rice was perfectly done, shawarma both beef and chicken were well spiced and very tasty, Grilled chicken was very good it tasted great and done tender to perfection, and lastly the roasted potatoes were very good & had this great tahina/garlic sauce on them that was sooo good I could eat this sauce by itself! The serving sizes were very generous for the price. The place is clean, modern, and it is huge dining area great for parties or get-togethers. You wait to be seated but it is amazing enviorment you can see them cook your food and it is very large and spacious. Only drawback to our visit was dessert, the gelato was not good taste at all, it was supposed to be pistachio but it tasted like sugar water syrup with mint boiled in it only, it had green color but not good at all. If you want Gelato go somewhere else!!! Sweets in the dessert section are not that impressive to look at. Milliontimes better than Paramount, it is our new goto for delicious meal in Mississauga. ★★★★★ Very different wraps, baked flat breads that were really unique in taste. We had the chicken shawarma and grilled chicken and they were really good. Definitely a step up from when they first started. There is also a MusAllah near the back to pray, how cool is that? Posted on March 23, 2012 |

★★★★☆ They have definitely made positive changes to improve food quality and service since opening. The burgers are the best in town by far (way better than Hero), also the chicken tandoori wrap is awesome, they don't use a simple pita like most places they make a homemade roti style wrap which makes it so much better. I'm definitely going to go back for the pide and rice dishes. Posted on March 21, 2012 |

★★★★☆ I discovered this place while visiting Winners in the same plaza. First impression: very clean and spacious, courteous staff and impressive ambiance. Prices are very reasonable compared to other middle eastern eateries. I tried their Filet Mignon wrap and loved every bit of it.
Service issues: The above mentioned Filet Mignon (with fries) wrap took about 30 minutes to prepare even when less than moderate traffic.
Last night i called to place an order of yet another Filet Mignon wrap for takeout. The person who received the phone put me on hold and disappeared for over a minute. I hung up and called back and was able to put an order in this time. Went to pick up my order 45 minutes later and was advised that the order was never received and they will have to cook from scratch. Needless to say i was extremely irritated as i was on a time crunch.
Regardless of the above incident i am willing to give them yet another try. Want to go back and try all the other middle eastern tastes. Posted on February 15, 2012 |

★★☆☆☆ Ordered the 8Oz steak burger...they gave me 2 beef burger patties (tasted like the frozen burgers available at any retail outlet)
Like everyone else, great atmosphere and decor.
But, they really need to work on their food. Serving popular afghani dishes along with turkish pideh is not Middle Eastern Cuisine. Posted on August 13, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ All
I wish this place is opened by Bamiyan Kabab or peramount.
If you combine the decore of this place and food of Bamiyan then this place will be the best place in GTA.
But for now 5/5 for decore and location but for food I have to give 0/5
Resturant owner must re-vemp whole food both quality and taste to make this place absolute success. But for now this place is far from getting any star. Posted on May 16, 2011 |

★★☆☆☆ I'll start off by saying that I've been a long-time customer of Nader's Grocery (the owners' original business). They sell great quality products and provide great service.
Walking into Nader's Grill just a few days after it opened this Spring, I was impressed both by the insane SIZE and decor of the place. 5/5 there.
The food, however, was absolutely a let-down. Ordered Burgers and 2 Beef/Rice plates. Food was cold, bland and tasteless. The burgers were just those No Frills buns with a piece of oily patty (if I can call it that) in the centre and a piece of lettuce. Not much else. The menu was also very limited for such a big place (at the time it opened).
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of bringing guests.
Nader's, I have hope in you, but you REALLY need to step up the game with the food. Very disappointing. Posted on April 23, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ First off let me start off by saying great place and location, i had really high hopes for this place but the decor is where they seem to end it at.
This place takes the self service to a whole new level you are suppose to get up and go get your own cutlery, water and no napkins you have to make do with the recycled brown paper roll. The cutlery was all over the long counter they had next to where they were taking the orders, all smeared and not washed properly.
When i was ordering i asked if i could get Bread/Naan, i was told no it only comes with rice but at the same time she told me i could ask one of the girls who will bring over the food to see if they can get me some bread (really?)
When i initially walked in i was told there would be a minimum 1hour wait time (and was asked not to complain latter on), seeing as i was already there didnt mind the wait at all. Although they were busy but they had a good 15 people working behind the counter. I have seen places far busier handle business in a much better fashion.
And when the food came about the Kebabs were burnt excessively around the edges. And the prices are not reflecting the quality as well.
Am i going back? not a chance at least not on my dime, there are far better places to eat better quality food, unless you enjoy filling up yourself with the fancy decor. Posted on April 12, 2011 |

★★★★★ The first thing you notice is the size and decor, very modern and clean unlike most halal places. Then came the food which was everything you would expect in a restaurant this nice. The iranian style kobideh was juicy and delicious with just the right amount of seasoning. The lavash bread is all prepared in house and was excellent (like pita except you can use it). Cant wait to try all the other items but if my first experience is anything to go by, I will not be dissapointed Posted on April 7, 2011 |
