★☆☆☆☆ I ordered Lahori Chargha and chicken kababs for home delivery
1. I was told it will be delivered in 45 mins but it took them 80 minutes.
2. Chargha was no way close to chargha it was something like chicken tikkas
3. There was no difference between kababs and chargha they were both same except one was with bones and other was boneless, kababs were dry and chargha was raw not fully cooked.
4. I ordered naan and they but they send me pitas.
I tasted there food in ramazan at masjid it was just an average food. I will not order anything from their again, zero knowledge of lahori food. I am from Lahore and a big foodie. this place was a complete disappointment for me. I think the owners should get some classes. Posted on November 15, 2014
OWNER RESPONSE
Nhas,
It would have been nice if you would have been totally honest and shared all the details of your order. Just to clarify a little the owner does not cook but I will advise him to take classes on Pakistani 1 on 1.
Also Alhamdulillah we are from Lahore and YES we do have Muslim Cooks and both are from Punjab. Not to make excuses but we are in the process of growth and this incident 1 out of 500 is what we call growing pain. YES we did mix up your order and it was the 4th day for Amin who has recently joined us.
You had walked in and placed an order. You were told 45 minutes to 1 hour. You placed the order, paid and left. After you returned an hour later you had to wait 15 minutes. You decided to wait in car.
2. You did not order the Charga but had ordered the kebab platter - shashlik and Chicken Karahi with 3 naan
3. New cook trying to rush mixed up the same rub for tikka's and shashlik
4. You were told before you placed the order that we do not have fresh naan but Greek bread and you seemed fine at that point.
After you left with your order you called the grille complaining that chicken is not fully cooked. Manager gave you 3 choices.
1. Bring the food back and we will have a new order prepared for you
2. Confirm your address and will send another order to your address regardless of where you live in Pittsburgh
3. Do nothing and we will cancel the charge on your card.
You told the manager on phone you would like to get it delivered but called 5 minutes later to ask us to cancel the order and your 4o + dollars were refunded to your account the same instance.
Please contact me and be my guest and lets see if we can re-deem our self. If you chose otherwise than do accept our apology and find a heart big enough to forgive us as we have done the same.
Sincerely,
Jamal Khan
★★★★★ One less thing for me to look forward to when I travel 300 miles to New York, ever since I moved here from NY, Pittsburgh continues to grow on me :)
Collogio's has the industrial Tandoors (clay ovens) used in many well established Tandoori Grills one may come across in other major cities. They did allot of Catering for ramadhan here.
The owner is from NYC and his experience was clear to me in the Lahori Charga (fresh chicken marinated and baked in a high temperature clay oven in 10-15 minutes) and Tandoori Chicken (10 minutes) with the hot sauce dip (his own recipe - told me it was his Grandma's), in my opinion was off the charts. Food was ordered to go and well packaged).
Staff was very nice and friendly. Has been open not to long but has tremendous potential. I plan on going back today and try the kebabs and will likely get another Lahori Charga! Posted on August 9, 2014
