HALAL SUMMARY
The owners of this restaurant are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status.
★★★☆☆ ordered chicken biryani & sindhi biryani. Long wait time around 30 minutes even though restaurant was not busy. Both biryanies were average. Chicken biryani was plain (no taste , no spices etc) Sindhi biryani had some spicies but very less meat. You do not have halal IndoPak restaurant nearby so you have limited options. ★☆☆☆☆ Biryani is okay but other menu items are gross, not authentic Pakistani food at all. It is clear they cater to non-ethnic clientele. Every single time I've gone, the service has been slow and very rude. I stopped going simply because they don't know how to treat polite paying customers. Posted on August 22, 2015
★★☆☆☆ does not say halal anywhere in the establishment...went for lunch buffet...mostly vegetarian dishes...and tandoori chicken plate with few pieces of chicken..food was not fresh..and vegetanle biryani was ok...maybe due to the locality..its a slow place and food is being conserved? i dont know... ★★★★☆ Friendly staff and a top-notch biryani with chunky pieces of meat; what more can you ask for?
I wouldn't call this the BEST restaurant in Albany; honestly, there's nothing really special that sets it apart from other Indo-Pak joints. But it is definitely worth a try! Posted on October 23, 2010
★★★★☆ We visited this establishment about an year ago. The restaurant was clean and the owners were very nice and hospitable. We tried theri Karahi and Biryani. Both the dishes were very good and it was a surprise to find nice Pakistani food in a remote area of New York especially considering the pathetic Desi food you find in Jackson Heights. ★★☆☆☆ Not the best Pakistani/Indian around this area. They have a bhel puri stand which was serving stale rice puffs. Only one meat dish during buffet? Posted on November 3, 2007
