HALAL SUMMARY
This restaurant has been reported to be halal by our readers but is still unverified.
★★★★★ the best kabob kubideh in VA! ive yet to try a better one than the one served at this place and trust me ive tried a lot of the restaurants in VA! Posted on June 20, 2013
★★★★☆ A nice family owned Iranian restaurant in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Parsian looks like they were spelling Parisian but this is definitely not French Cuisine. This persian joint offers homestyle Iranian food with some decent service and low prices. The food is halal too! The only downside is that I asked for 2 things and both were not available even though they were on the menu. Beyond that the cornish hen was amazing. Will return next time I am in old town. ★★★★☆ Good food and affordable price. The spicy chicken was delicious. Small restaurant in the heart of King Street. The owners were very friendly. Enjoyed our food. Will return Posted on April 27, 2012
★★★☆☆ We visited this place during their "soft" opening. This restaurant has been opened for 12 days now and they appear to be doing well. We had the hummus, Sambosa, the kubideh / chicken kabab platter and the Parsian platter which comes with one kubideh and bargh kabab. The good: The restaurant is cozy, new and very clean. The food is good and the service is decent enough. The bad: The Parsian platter for $19 is way over priced. If you look at the menu, it's actually cheaper to get the kubideh platter (two skewers of kubideh) for $9 and add a single side of chicken kabab for $7, and get way more food than the Parsian platter, while paying $3 less! I think it's only a matter of time before the owner catches this glitch on the menu and fixes it by raising the price. At any rate, the place was decent enough where I would return if I'm ever in the mood for Persian food and happen to be in old town Alexandria. Posted on January 28, 2012
