★★★☆☆ came here for a party yesterday. service was good. food was okay. nothing special. biggest issue is that location is a bit far off. it's not in the most central area. Posted on November 17, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ black roof, dim lights & full service alcohol bar right at the entrance of the restaurant?????. it looked like a bar more than restaurant. we order chicken karahi, lamb korma, aloo keema (beef n potato) fish tanduri and naan.
the food's taste, color, presentation or ingredients was not even closed to its name .
let me explain it in detail i am a chef thats why i understand what they did. they had already boiled all the meats (lamb and chicken) plus they had made a tomato sauce on side when we order food they mix chicken in some tomato sauce in a serving dish and they put some raw tomatos on top as garnish.
in other dish they mix some lamb and sauce and they top it with raw onions hahah and they called it korma.
they mix some tanduri chicken spices in yogurt and put that past on top of a piece of fish and called it tanduri fish.
and the worst thing was beef that beef was left over meat from beef kabab they cooked it in the same tomato sauce and toped it with onion and tomatos.
about tea and ras malai they said o we have already closed our cold bar thats why we cant serve us desserts or house drinks (but they can serve alcohol)?????
i am a muslim and i asked food service people before i order my food if their food is halal and they didnt even know what i was talking about(they were american i understand they dont know about halal but they need proper training ) also waitress ask me to point my finger on the item in menu coz she didnt know the names of menu items.
this is my request to all of you people please dont eat food in this restaurant becoz if u r american you wont get real indian/pakistani cuisine taste and you'll think ok thats how the indian/pakistani cuisine is. and if you are indi or paki you'll come back here and like my review and post same kind of review. ★★★★☆ New halal restaurant in East Memphis/Collierville. Right now it is just buffet, but they are still expanding their services. The owners are known Musllims who have been rooted in the community for many years.
The food here was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes in the buffet, and the nihari and chicken tikka masala were amazing. We tried a little bit of everything, and I really can't complain about any of the dishes. It's a bit spicy, which is exactly the way we like it. Service was great and they kept refilling our naan. The ambience was nice and there was a sizeable seating area.
We plan to visit much more often. Posted on September 19, 2013 |
