5605 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60660
Turkish Cuisine offers authentic Turkish food, with lots of eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, grilled kebabs and yogurt sauces. The good-size portions should keep hearty eaters happy, while the hot and cold appetizers, traditionally combined to make a mix of nibbles for the whole table, are a lighter meal alternative. Certified halal meat provided by Chiappetti Meats at (773) 927-6363. Owned by Engin Cardak. Added on October 4, 2007 and last updated 6 years ago

★★★★★ Cant say enough good things about their kazandibi. Everything else was good too Posted on November 9, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ Staff is very unfriendly. Overpriced. Food was ok but came very slow. Posted on November 18, 2013 |

★★★★★ I have never had the opportunity to dine-in but we have had parties catered by this restaurant. The kebobs are tender and juicy, the eggplant appetizer is excellent, but the star of the show is the Iskenderi kebob. This is a dish that starts with a bed of large bread crumbs, a layer of juicy kebobs, and then it's topped with a savory tomato sauce. Add a little of Turkish cuisine's yogurt on the side and you have one of my favorite dishes anywhere. Posted on September 28, 2011 |

★★★★★ Went here a few months ago with the wife piece. Food was excellent. The bread was warm and fresh. The yoghurt appetizer was banging (I dunno what it's called in Turkish but labnah in Arabic). The meat in the mixed grill was juicy and tender. The appetizer combo was also very good. No belly dancer seen. The ambiance was family oriented I thought (there was another family with a bunch of kids), but that might be bc it was lunch time. Posted on August 17, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ First, the food was OK. Not exceptional.
Second, they were having a belly dancing party in the hall, and alcohol was being served.
We wouldn't recommend the restaurant, as the website menu doesn't match what they had and seems to be out of date. Posted on February 10, 2009 |

★★★★★ If you haven't had the pleasure of dining in Istanbul this place is the next best thing. The food here is really good and really Turkish. Don't leave without having tried a soup or one of the many kebabs - my favorites are Adana and Beyti. The decor is pleasant enough.
The only criticisms I have is the service at times can be slow. Sometimes, the crowds can be noisy and or strange, but if you can ignore those things, your patience will be rewarded with good food. Posted on April 13, 2008 |
