★★★★★ Amazing place to eat. The man who works there is very friendly and nice, sometimes hooks it up on the bill or extra food. It's small and sometimes gets stuffy if they don't open the doors to let the steam out. Other than that, the quality of the food is phenomenal. Everything I've tried has been amazing. Afghani rice, mantoo, chicken kabob, beef koubideh, lamb, and even the bulanee (it's like a krepe). Overall great food, but not the best place to sit down and eat. Posted on June 16, 2014 |

★★★★★ Best Afghan Rice in Devon I really liked it. I go there since two years. the owner and his sons are very nice people I wish they bring the same lentil soup that they have in Skokie branch to this branch. Thank you Abdul,Akmal,Zaki :) Posted on June 15, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Went with 8 family members. The place was empty. There were 8-9 tables with two chairs each. The rude guy at the counter refused to let us join the tables to accommodate us on one table. Goodbye Khyber express you saw the last of us. Posted on June 24, 2013 |

★★★★☆ I visited this place for the 2nd time and I really like it. Not the best Afghani food I had but it is very delicious. Friendly customer service. I am very satisfied with the prices as well. I would certainly return to this place whenever I am in Chicago area. Thank you Posted on March 3, 2013 |

★★★★★ A unique, clean restaurant on Devon with gteat service! I came in and grabbed a chapli kabob sandwich, which was recommended by the staff. I was a little reluctant as there are about 100 places on Devon that sell chapli kabob but this sandwich was different. Soft naan, delicious kabob, and fresh vegetables along with Kabul House's white and green sauces made for a fantastic sandwich at a great price. I also ordered a side of the "Afghan Fries," potato wedges cooked in oil and dusted in sumac - these were also delicious and unlike any other fries that we've had. The staff was friendly and helped me get my stroller in-and-out of the restaurant. I'll definitely be back to try a few other dishes. Posted on March 8, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Its great to find this restaurant on Devon Avenue. I was waiting for its opening. They have a smaller menu than the bigger restaurant in Skokie. I had a fantabulous chicken kabob sandwich for $5 only and it was too good; a full skewer of mouth watering chicken kabob served with a crispy naan, sauce and salsa. I really liked it. They have traditional afghan dishes on the menu too. Prices are great and taste is awesome. One star less for the interior. They need to work a little harder on that part.
