★★★★★ The sizzling platter is every meat lover's dream. Juicy and tasty. These folks know how to do chicken. Their lunch buffet is good. The butter chicken is wonderful. Posted on September 14, 2016 |

★★☆☆☆ Not much satisfied with the food. Reached at the time of dinner buffet but went with menu dishes *wise decision*. Chicken Seekh kabab were good. Chicken biryani was just ok. Posted on April 6, 2015 |

★★★★★ BEST BIRYANI IN RDU SO FAR
I have been visiting RDU for over 3 year now and use this awesome site for dinner. I had my doubts before visiting as the reviews were nonetheless, I am hooked.
Getting Chicken Biryani right is an art. Not everyone who prepares goat/lamb can do justice to chicken. But this chef is a master when it comes to that art.
The chicken was just apt. Not too tender not too raw. Just PERFECT !! Imagine eating away with a fork and the white meat just eases off the born, that's the test.
Will be going there regularly and anyone who hasn't tried this place, should. Don't let the looks of the place make you wary. Posted on June 18, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I will admit food quality is gone way better in last few weeks.I have complain about buffet.Though there is more verity but if you want to eat good and fresh go with in first hour when they start buffet. After that you will get burned food and may be some of empty dishes and no body taking care unless you point out the lady at counter. Please have patience for at least 15 to 20 minutes to let them fill that item.I don't blame them i guess non professional people with good quality of food. Oh yes you have to sacrify over one glass of water even you want more during your meal no body will come to ask you.You have to take your glass at counter and ask for water.I prefer to go dinner and love
chicken kadhai
Daal fry (best ever i had)
chicken/goat curry (Trust me best in the town)
I am non vegetarian but trust me they improved vegetable a lot.
I ate egg plant, mix veg .Potato Masala at buffet all are awesome.
Oh yes ask for Paneer kadahi i bet you will love it.
I think they need to go and check other restaurants at lunch time may be they learn few things how to handle buffet.
Rest i am happy with the food taste and quality. They improved all of sudden after going down the hill. Posted on July 17, 2009 |

★★★★★ I am not going to write a story....%$$#@
If you really like reasonably good food with a reasonably good environment with a reasonably good attire ....go and try once food in Biryani House.
After reading the News & Observer on 8th July, that Biryani House has ranked 44th in Traingle Top 50 place to dine, I realized the Truth always speaks by itself.
I couldn't stop myself to try there. But I didn't repent. I had a very good and quick lunch with many Indian dishes. I think I got a good find.
I would recommend the readers that "Decide by Yourself." Posted on July 10, 2009 |

★★★★★ I am surprised by the latest comments by some of our esteemed local reviewers( rather I would call Freelancer Food Critics) that they can write negative about this restaurant. This restaurant has won the TOP 50 RESTAURANT IN TRIANGLE per the July 8th News Observer. The link is The link is http://blogs.newsobserver.com/multi/top-50-food-magazine if anyone thinks I am misleading them.
I am a IT Project manager accompanied by my colleagues visited their Buffet. I am totally amazed by the authentic taste and varienty. I love this place though I am not born in India or Pakistan. Now it has become my most favorite hangout place.
Decide yourself don't get confused by the negative reviewers. Posted on July 9, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ I used to eat at Biryani House before their "upgrade". However, recently I had a chance to take my family to have dinner their. Their quality of service, food and price have all been downgraded. It took them about one hour to bring the food. Previously, their food and service was really good but not any more. With the addition of the full bar, it is not a good family place any more. Posted on July 3, 2009 |

★★★★★ First comment I would say why everyone behave like a professional food critic? Why so much fuss about the food ?
I would suggest the reders of this reviews to try atleast once the Kababs and Biryani once then decide.
I have been a customer to Biryani House when it used to be the First and only Halal Restaurant in the Triangle Area.I am also from Pakistan and eat only Halal Meat. I am a qualified engineer from Lahore working in IT. I know the owners of Biryani House and they are educated and very decent. The meat still they getting from Halal Meat sources.
They have worked hard to serve our community Halal Food by keeping Muslim cooks always.
Regardless what people have commented , in spite of that Biryani House food is still serving delicious foods. I like it.
I would rate the restaurant 9 out of 10. Posted on January 20, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have eaten at many Indo/Pak/Bengali restaurants in my life and this one was by far my worst experience ever. The food was less than average. My husband and I ordered the lamb biryani, chicken tikka, garlic naan, and chicken soup. The lamb biryani was not at all authentic, lacked flavor, and had very little lamb in it. The chicken tikka and naan were alright. The chicken tikka was not at all like at most restaurants where it is considered an entree. It consisted of only a few small pieces of chicken with mostly salad on the plate. The chicken soup was HORRIBLE. There wasn't even any chicken in it! There were like little threads of chicken and the soup was OVERLOADED with black pepper to such an extent that it burned my throat to eat it! Other than the food, the service was the worst I have ever received. Our drinks were served without straws so my husband had to go up and get them himself. Then all four of the items we ordered were brought out one by one. Every time the waiter brought out something, I had to keep asking if the rest of the food was coming and he didn't really seem to care. A family came in quite a while after us, and they got all of their food before we did. On top of that, I sensed that the waiter and some other guy who worked there had a major attitude problem towards us, particularly toward my husband (who is African American). Also, no one ever bothered to ask us if we needed anything or how the food was. For the price we paid, the food and service were DEFINITELY not worth it. I will never go back to this restaurant again and I don't recommend anyone else to eat there. Posted on January 12, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ we went there after few months.A lot of big changes took place.we ordered chicken biryani, achari chicken, chicken seekh kababs and bihari kababs.quality of biryani was so low too much oil and seems rice were over cooked thats why they were tangled together.one of my chicken peice was burned and also one peice in achari chicken was burned.chicken kabab and bihari kababs were great and i was pleased that quality of these items were same as it was at the begining. ★★★☆☆ I went to this restaurant twice. 1st time it was a party of 8 and the service standard was extremely poor. I don't know if it was because it was around 9.15pm and the restaurant closes at 10.00. The orders were all mixed up.....I did not get rice and naan with my platter. The food was of adequate quality. Liked the chicken biryani.
Next day I went to their weekend lunch buffet. The karhi pakora was really good. The biryani is a bit spicy but I guess everyone has different taste. No issues with service this time as it was a buffet. Posted on July 29, 2008 |

★☆☆☆☆ I visited the restaurant in 2005, it was not renovated back then..but food was really good. I went to the place recently.. they have changed their presentation. Initially i was under impression that this is a pakistani Halal restaurant , run by muslims, but I was totally wrong. They have halal sign posted at the door, they serve alocohol , staff's behaviour is discriminatory.Food used to be good but now it is average for the price they are chrging.
Hope this helps Posted on June 20, 2008 |

★★★★☆ A nice experience.Very good food. They have more space and every thing was hot and fresh.I read few reviews about reheating so pesonaly i watched the "tandorchi" if he is making fresh kababs or not.Any how every body got fresh and hot items,i am the eye witness.I am glade that they started home delivery too.If you guys want a realy good food with in a reasonable price then this palace has worth of your money. ★☆☆☆☆ Beware!!! Briyani House has a habit of reheating food and serving that instead of fresh food. They have given me kabobs that have been reheated in microwave. If we are paying for our food don't we deserve food that is fresh and not reheated!! A worker there admitted they heat food in the microwave for the buffet! Posted on August 3, 2007 |

★★★★☆ Almost every time I have been here I have liked the food. I like the good nature of the owner of the store as well. I do have to mention it's been almost 2+ months since I have been here, so am not aware of the recent quality. On a side note the biryani isn't the best. But I still have to find a good biryani location in NC. Posted on June 22, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ Just to give an update. Just had a lunch Buffet Today and the Biriyani was really bad. I got suspicious and asked the front person where the cook is. He told me that he has taken a break. but the fact is he has left the Biryani house. To my surprise, I see the owner's wife is cooking in the kitchen area. I'm shocked. Be careful. if you order any stuff in future. Posted on January 25, 2007 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have eaten at biryani house a few times and on some food items, their prices are very ridiculous! For example to get one order of bihari kabab, it is 9.99 for only 5pieces of chicken. So you are paying 2 dollars for one small piece of chicken. And any meat cooked in the grill comes out burnt, and their butter chicken has no taste and for 7.99 your only getting about 5 to 6 pieces in the butter chicken. Posted on January 15, 2007 |

SHE IS THE ONLY WHO MADE BIRYANI HOUSE SO POPULAR.. I REALLY MISS HER FOOD...! BUT NOW I WENT.. THE FOODDD IS SOO.. DIFF. THAN THAT AUNTY..! ALL THE SPICES ARE USED DIRECTLY FROM THE STORE.. ★★★☆☆ I went to this place recently. It has been my third experience that their biryani was very dry wth no gravy at all. It tasted like plain rice with couple of meat pieces. They need to be consistent in their food quality. Biryani used to be awesome earlier. Their naans are still good and curries are standard too. Posted on September 24, 2006 |

★★★★★ Food is good.New cook doing good job.I recently ate there after a while.New manager is very friendly.I think they need more help at front.Only manager always moving back and forth, cleaning the tables, taking order etc.At least one more person they need in the dinning hall to fill water and clean the tables etc.I heard few whispers that customers were waiting for 20 to 30 minutes for their orders. It's not a good sign.they need more space too.
I am always happy to go there.I hope they will maintain the standerd of their food. Posted on September 18, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ Well the restaurant improves a lot since it was sold. Place is cleaner now but still a lot room for improvement. Restrooms are still dirty, plates, chairs and tables give you a gareeb nawaz hotel kinda look. Don't ever take American friends for a meal, they will going to be very disappointed (sanitization rating is 82/100). The new cook is doing a great job, but he is using a lot of shaan masala, which is not suitable for health at all due to the perseverates. They advertise that food is 100% halal but its not correct at all times. Still biryani house is way better than king kabab. They have to improve in next 3 months otherwise they will lose their customers. Posted on August 18, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ Our family ate here recently and my kids enjoyed it so much we had to return within a few days! The decor and plastic utensils let it down a little, I guess to keep the prices lower, but it gives the place a down-market feel - hence my "average" rating. However, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and would recommend it - if I lived near Cary this friendly place would be a regular destination. Posted on April 13, 2006 |

★★★★★ It has become a nice place for hangout for young food lovers. Whenever I go I see young desis eating biryani. When I ask they say they liked the desi look and best food in the town. The Biryanis are awesome!! All I like is the freshly baked Naan with mutton curry. The front desk lady told me they are starting buffet soon. Posted on December 17, 2005 |

★★★★★ Nice food and nice customer service now. The owner is a great guy though and should set the place up more like his other resteraunt across the street. The food is advertised to be Halal. The owner is also known to Muslim community and the cook is Muslim too. I eat and takeout everytime I visit Chatham square. Posted on December 17, 2005 |

★★☆☆☆ I just went here for the second time today, with the first time being a year ago. The dining setup is that of a takeout stand with some self-service tables, plastic utensils, and water. It is the only Pakistani restaurant in the Triangle to my knowledge. Unfortunately, the food is not very good. They reheat food that was prepared earlier in a microwave. I had lamb biryani and seekh kebob this time, and chicken biryani last time. The food was passable at best. Overall, the food is slightly worse than other Indian restaurants in the Triangle, and is not in the same league as Pakistani and Indian restaurants in major cities.
There were two problems with service today. One was that there was a family with children present, and they asked if there was any food suitable for the children. The lady behind the counter kept saying that everything is too spicy and there is nothing suitable for children, so that family eventually left without ordering. The other incident is that the lady behind the counter forget to collect payment from another customer. Posted on October 23, 2005 |

★★★★★ The food variety and quality has become much better since the new owners took over earlier this year. Most of the dishes I have tried were cooked fresh and tasted great. Try the chicken biryani and haleem. The owner assured me that the meats used are Zabihah and a sign is visible outside the restaurant stating only Halal Meats served here. Fresh baked naan bread is also available now! The food has an authentic Pakistani / Hyderabadi taste which is very hard to find at other Indian restaurants in the Triangle. ★★★★★ Great food!!New owner since 04/2005.Everything made fresh and fast.Authentic Halal meat from Choudhry Halal(919-742-9292) and Super Grocery Halal(919-463-0450).You should try the Mutton Biryani and Haleem. Posted on October 21, 2005 |

★★★☆☆ Nice people. The food is not fresh and there is no variety. The owner is a great guy though and should set the place up more like his other resteraunt across the street Posted on May 30, 2005 |

★★★☆☆ Reasonable prices, the chicken biryani is decent, not excellent. Minor downside is (at least during my visit) the only utensils and plates were plastic and styrofoam. Posted on March 25, 2005 |

★★★☆☆ The food is authentic HALAL. Only Pakistani restaurant in town. The food is generally not fresh and not very tasty. However the owners are good people. Posted on March 13, 2005 |
