★★★☆☆ I went there two weeks ago without reading the reviews, I am not sure about Halal authenticity. We ordered the platter, it has lots of meat, only Kefta and chicken shwarma were good, rest were so dry that we could not even eat them, appetizers were also not tasty at all. ★★★☆☆ I agree with the last post. This place is not Zabiha. The previous owner was Muslim however he sold the place. This is the reason a lot of people think it is still zabiha. It is not! Liquor is also served there now. I have eaten there when the Muslim owner was there and it was good. Now I don't know. I have heard from people that it is not the same. Posted on December 29, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ Please be aware this place is not Zabihah. They say it is halal, but not zabihah. The owners are not muslims, they are assyrian christians. You can verify this by going to the grocery store next door, huge assyrian flag and crosses all over. They also serve liquor in this establishment. I was there over the weekend with the family thinking it was a zabihah retaurant and we ended up walking out after seeing the liquor and staff saying it was halal ,not zabihah. However, it looked like a nice place to dine. The decor and staff were very friendly, just not zabihah meat. Posted on August 15, 2007 |

★★★★★ For great tasting Lebanese food in a clean, attractive environment, visit Al Khayameh. We have visited this place dozens of times over the past three years. The food is wonderful, the portions are very generous and the service is usually very prompt.
They start you off with some olives, pickles and cheese, followed by your order. The pita bread is excellent, as are all the lamb and chicken dishes. I would also recommend the Chicken Shawarma. You can follow on with a visit to the neighboring grocery store for some yummy sweet treats, bakhlava, etc. Posted on June 5, 2007 |

★★★★★ I went to this place like three times in a row while i was in chicago, the food is great, the witress are great and super nice and the restaurant was very clean, its not really that expensive, for example if you buy a plate of mixed sharwma, rice, salaad, pepsi, hot bread, tea, some appetizers all for like 25 dollars, i did ask the waitress if the food was halaal, she said yes, i liked the place is was nice but one thing i found was that i seen a couple of people drinking something that looked like wine to me BUT in the menu they dont even serve wine or alcohol, so im guessing they brought it along with them Posted on January 22, 2007 |
